About: I have 9 years of experience caring for animals, including 7 years as a veterinary assistant. I have cared for dogs and cats of every age and personality, from energetic puppies and curious kittens to anxious rescues and gentle seniors. My approach is calm, patient, and loving. When caring for pets in their home, I keep their usual routines consistent so they feel safe and relaxed. Before visits, I always take time to understand your pet’s personality, comfort level, and any special needs. My background in veterinary care taught me how to handle animals gently and how to recognize subtle signs of stress, discomfort, or behavioral shifts. About: I grew up with pets since I was a baby. I have learned throughout the years how to care and love them differently. I currently own dogs, cats, chickens and birds which I love all so much. I love showing love and comfort to every animal that crosses my path! I would be very appreciative to make your pet feel more loved and comfortable than they already are. I’m working a part time which allows me to care for your pet more often than not. I am almost always available for your pet when needed. I have learned every dog/cat is different and have different needs. I am willing to learn new things. But I can safely put your pet in crates and give them their meds safely!

About: Hi! My name is Iyah, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. While I am new to Rover, I'm not new to caring for fur-babies!! I have loved animals of all kinds since I arrived on this earth! I have hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, personalities, and energy levels through previous and current professional work experience at a dog and cat care/boarding business, along with caring for pets in my personal life as well. About: My love for animals has definitely grown over the years. I started dog sitting over the past 4 years and have loved every bit of it. I’ve take care of my neighbors, co-workers, and family/friends animals as well! They rely on me to make sure their babies are fed, safe and happy! Because I work from home much of the time, your dog will receive plenty of attention throughout the day. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, young, or a senior, I’ll care for them as if they were my own. I’m an educator WFH part time. My household just me and my poodle. No kids. This allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. My schedule is especially flexible during evenings, weekends, holidays, and academic breaks. I live in a clean, pet-friendly new construction townhouse with a nice dog park. Pets in my care will be treated like my own kids. They are supervised, have access to fresh water, comfortable resting areas, and plenty of attention. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any special requests. About: I’ve had 3 dogs in my life growing up, which have all been loved and cared for. In the past couple of years have friends and family asked to take care of their pets. Usually consists of walks and simple drop ins to make sure they are doing well and fed. Most animals that I sit for are dogs. About: *Update: In regards to the new weekly feature, I can only do so in YOUR home. I am a cat person but I also love dogs. I'm an equal opportunist lol . I've taken care of cats, dogs, even hamsters, fish and plants for neighbors, friends, family and later on for clients through apps like these. I started taking care of pets at age 10 which was around the same time I got my cat, Allegra. I loved her like my own child. We would even take walks together. She lived a good 14 years but that of course was still too short for me. She was a family member to me, not just a cat. She was even kind to the random strays I would bring home and be forced to return lol. I also grew up with my dog Angel (pictured). She lived for 14 years too. Her last few years were rough and she was on a lot of medications. I have experience administering those. We had to put her down and that was such a hard decision. Another family member lost. I'm still proud that they both lived long lives. I've had other cats short term since then. I adopted a black cat, Maleficent Marie, in February 2023 and shes my new fur baby. I started using Rover in 2018 when it first started but deactivated because I lived in areas that didn't use the app at all. I can't wait to meet your pet and I'll make them a priority like they're family! I'm currently working part time and have a very flexible schedule so I have plenty of time to drop in or even stay with your furry family members. My home is not open to animals at the moment and I can sincerely vouch that I will treat your home respectfully like mine or anyone else's. I'm also fully vaccinated and take Covid seriously. I don't mind wearing a mask for long hours or at all and will abide by any covid restrictions you personally have. My goal is to build a trusting relationship and to have more repeat clientele!
