About: I love animals of all species- but dogs hold a special place in my heart! I have been dog-sitting for about 6.5 years now, and have enjoyed every furry visitor I've had. I just enjoy sharing space with them! I currently work from home, so I have the ability to give them all the attention they need and take them along for adventures (with permission). I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby and making an amazing connection with you both! In seemingly stressful or chaotic situations I’m able to maintain my composure. I find that my demeanor makes dogs feel comfortable and relaxed upon meeting them, so in-home check ins will be smoother for your pet and I! Thank you for taking the time to read my profile, I look forward to providing excellent care for your beloved furry friend. I currently work from home, which allows a flexible schedule. I love having a dog over so I have more reason to take a walk. I have an open-space studio where they will be hanging out with me during the day. I always reach out to the client for a meet and greet to discuss their pet's behaviors and needs so I can adjust accordingly.
“Donnis is incredible! My yorkie, Halo absolutely loved and adored her. Donnis was really sweet to my girl, took her on walks, played with her, fed her, and made sure she feels loved even though I was away for a really long time. Donnis was also super flexible with my hectic schedule. I would book Donnis again every time!”

“Jody and Preston took very good care of our fur babies. As a first time Rover user, it was important to us to find someone who is good with Pibbles. Jody and Preston came over to our house prior to booking to ensure that everyone was a good fit. While watching our babies, Jody took care to send us pictures and keep us updated while we were gone. I would highly recommend booking with Jody and Preston!”

“From the first meeting w/Daniel to my return home post-trip, it was a very smooth experience. I know watching four dogs at once can be a bit much, so was grateful to return home to find my fur family so happy. Dogs and house were left in great hands. Will definitely book again!”

“Eric was a great dog and house sitter, he took care of everything as we discussed. He was on time and quick to respond with any questions we had. He even took care of the laundry for the sheets and towels he used! Highly recommend him!”

“Rebecca was absolutely amazing! She took excellent care of our three dogs and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. She kept us updated throughout the stay with plenty of photos and messages, which meant a lot to us. She was friendly, professional, trustworthy, and clearly cared about our dogs as if they were her own. It was obvious they were well cared for and getting lots of attention while we were gone. She even went above and beyond by keeping the floors vacuumed. We have a German Shepherd who is shedding quite a bit right now, and we came home to a house that wasn’t covered in dog hair, which was such a pleasant surprise. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be using Rebecca again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“I was very nervous about going on vacation for five days leaving my animals, but I found Abigail on Rover and she was absolutely amazing. I’ve told my friends about her. She took very good care of my animals. I would definitely recommend her. She gave me detailed information and updates on my babies. Thank you Abigail. You are the best.”

“Kaitlyn was absolutely fantastic! She was sure to check in with us daily about how our pets were doing and took the cutest photos. She asked so many detailed questions so she could make sure that she followed our regular routine, which we appreciated so much. She was sweet enough to take the mail in and left the house perfectly clean. Our dog and kitten were very happy when we came home and we could tell that they enjoyed their time with her. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Bold Springs
If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! Leaving my dogs for a week was one of the hardest things because they truly are family to me, I joke that I treat them better than my children! From the moment we left, I knew they were in the best hands. Every single day, she sent detailed updates along with so many beautiful pictures that completely put my mind at ease. It was obvious from every photo and message that my dogs were not only being cared for but genuinely loved. She treated them as if they were her own, and that meant everything to us. Our home was well cared for, our dogs were happy, healthy, and relaxed when we returned, and we were able to truly enjoy our vacation because we never had to worry about them. She exceeded every expectation we had, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. If you’re looking for someone who is trustworthy, compassionate, communicative, and will love your pets like family, look no further. We will absolutely be booking with her again. Thank you for giving us complete peace of mind!

Laura surpassed my expectations with her attentiveness and overall quality she provided to my two dogs. One of the dogs is medically fragile and relies on medication at specific times. Laura understood the severity of Blaze’s needs and followed the necessary schedule. In addition, when one of the dogs was showing signs of anxiety and was up all night- Laura was patient and kind and stayed up with him, attending to his needs. Laura was very professional and kept me updated with pictures and texts. I could not have asked for anything more!!!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bold Springs walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bold Springs maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bold Springs choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
