We’re so grateful for Abigail! This was our first time using Rover, and it was a last-minute request after I missed scheduling doggy daycare. She responded quickly, was open to receiving additional information, checked in when she arrived, and communicated clearly throughout the visit. I truly appreciated her professionalism and reliability. We will definitely be booking with her again!

Lillie was wonderful! She walked Shenna three days in a row when I couldn't, and Shenna loved her -- was so excited at the door when Lillie arrived. We did hour-long walks that ended up being around 2.5 miles each day, and my girlie always arrived back home happy and tired. I will more than gladly do repeat bookings. Thanks so much, Lillie!

About: Caring for dogs has been a huge part of my everyday life. I have three dogs of my own, so I’m very familiar with daily routines like walking, feeding, playtime, and giving dogs the attention and patience they need. I’ve also dog-sat for family members, which has helped me become comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities and energy levels. What sets me apart is how much I truly love dogs — I treat every dog like they’re my own, making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I’m reliable, attentive, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, whether that means a calm walk, playtime, or just keeping them company. My weekly routine is always the same and includes a lot of availability for me to fit pet sitting/walking into my schedule. I prioritize my time with pets!! When caring for pets in their own homes, I make it a priority to keep their routine and environment as normal and comfortable as possible. I follow all instructions carefully, respect your space, and make sure your pet feels safe, calm, and well cared for. I take my time during visits, give plenty of attention and affection, and always treat both your home and your pet with care and respect.

About: I have been a dog owner for much of my life. But, after the last dog passed, I figured I would open my heart to look after dogs of all types and sizes, when their owners are away. I have had a 6-week-old Newfie mix and I am used to caring for puppies. I also looked after a Collie into her senior years. I have worked with dogs with severe allergies and medical needs as well. And, it would be my joy to love and care for your fur baby when you are away. I work from home and as a result am available to walk, feed, play-with, and take your dog outside whenever they need to do so. I have a step-free home which is perfect for larger dogs and puppies, and a large yard where I can walk with them as well as access to several walking trails

About: *Update: In regards to the new weekly feature, I can only do so in YOUR home. I am a cat person but I also love dogs. I'm an equal opportunist lol . I've taken care of cats, dogs, even hamsters, fish and plants for neighbors, friends, family and later on for clients through apps like these. I started taking care of pets at age 10 which was around the same time I got my cat, Allegra. I loved her like my own child. We would even take walks together. She lived a good 14 years but that of course was still too short for me. She was a family member to me, not just a cat. She was even kind to the random strays I would bring home and be forced to return lol. I also grew up with my dog Angel (pictured). She lived for 14 years too. Her last few years were rough and she was on a lot of medications. I have experience administering those. We had to put her down and that was such a hard decision. Another family member lost. I'm still proud that they both lived long lives. I've had other cats short term since then. I adopted a black cat, Maleficent Marie, in February 2023 and shes my new fur baby. I started using Rover in 2018 when it first started but deactivated because I lived in areas that didn't use the app at all. I can't wait to meet your pet and I'll make them a priority like they're family! I'm currently working part time and have a very flexible schedule so I have plenty of time to drop in or even stay with your furry family members. My home is not open to animals at the moment and I can sincerely vouch that I will treat your home respectfully like mine or anyone else's. I'm also fully vaccinated and take Covid seriously. I don't mind wearing a mask for long hours or at all and will abide by any covid restrictions you personally have. My goal is to build a trusting relationship and to have more repeat clientele!

  • 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
