“Our labradoodle Leo had a great time at Maria’s. We appreciated the care she took in acclimating him to a new environment and the updates with pictures! We would absolutely use Maria again!”

“Mungo has stayed with Christy several times and loves her and her dogs, so I wasn’t too concerned about leaving him for ten days while I was off the grid in Costa Rica. Every morning I was able to hop on the wi-fi for a few minutes and I always had an update from Christy and a picture of Mungo playing or sleeping. The updates assured me that he was on vacation too and having a good time. Christy always takes such good care of him and Mungo is always excited when we get to her house, which is his way of giving a five star review.”

“Denise is amazing! My pup was so happy and loved. Her and her husband took great care of my dog and kept me up to date on him throughout everyday with plenty of videos and pictures. Best part is he came home exhausted which is always a great sign that he had so much fun. We will be booking again!”

“Justin was very welcoming and after a visit together with Watson, I left Alexa in good hands. Justin sent lots of pictures of Alexa and Watson taking walks, and relaxing at home.”

“Adrienne was wonderful. Quick to respond and kept us updated with photos and messages while we were away. She did a great job with our sensitive little dog. We will definitely call on her again.”

“Very attentive and provided a good time for our dogs while we are away. I highly recommend as she is communicative daily and provides them w plenty of walks and play time in the dog park to socialize!!”

“Shawnee took great care of our pup, Axel! She is kind and a great communicator— we especially appreciated her daily pupdate photos! This was our first time using Rover, and we would definitely book with Shawnee again.”

“Adam was wonderful! He was a great communicator, sent updates and pics of my dog, and made me feel very comfortable being away from my dog. He proved trustworthy and caring with my dog, so I’ll definitely want to use him again!”

“Christine was the best! She watched my sometimes-nervous Rottweiler Delilah for over a week, and she was comfortable and cuddling on the couch in no time at all! Delilah loved the occasional pup cup and the daily walks, and the pictures Christine sent throughout her stay made me absolutely confident that I chose the right sitter. 10/10 will be a return client!”

“Excellent pet watcher!! I highly recommend. They were very responsive, and flexible. My cat T-square had a blast at there place. He was loved, groomed, and cared for, as if he was with me! ❤️”

“Apoorva was simply incredible watching our labradoodle! He can be a little anxious when we are gone and requires 2x daily meds, and Apoorva handled everything incredibly. He received lots of outdoor play with the ball (which is his favorite!) and belly rubs. Thanks to Apoorva he had a great time and so did we while we saw the sites in Pittsburgh!”

“Courtney is wonderful with my dogs. I can always go away and feel comfortable leaving them with. I appreciate every thing she does for them and I know they will be safe and well taken care of.”

“Kim was so accommodating with me. Willow was going to arrive around 2pm, then 4pm and then after 5pm as our drive and lunch stop took longer than expected. Willow is not used to other dogs since she is an only dog at home and can get quite stressed but she was great when I picked her up and Kim and her husband updated me with pictures with her on their laps and outside. She was always very prompt to respond. Nice big back yard which Willow loves. Overall, it was a great experience - way better than a kennel.”

“Breanna was absolutely lovely! Zinnia had gotten sick on the way to their home and Breanna was still okay with watching over her! She kept me updated the entire time I was gone, sent lots of pictures, and followed my instructions to a tee (including the extra ones I added last minute to help Zinnia feel better)! Zinnia got used to her very quick and had a wonderful time playing, lounging, and going for walks together!”

“Friendly, easy-going…a nice personality for my little dog! Very communicative and definitely wanted my dog to feel comfortable. Appreciated him very much!”

“Coralee and her family are wonderful people. They were so warm and loving, it felt like we were leaving Olive with family. Olive and Coralee's pup Angel became good friends. Olive looked happy and relaxed in all the pics Coralee sent, which we appreciated a lot along with her regular updates. Would use her again in a heartbeat!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Bellevue
Dezerae was very good with our nervous senior dog. She was very responsive to messages, sent tons of pictures, and was ready on time for drop off and pick up. From top to bottom she took good care of our dog and communicated well with us and we would definitely have her watch our dog again in the future!
Highly recommend Amy for your dog boarding needs. She took care of our 6 year old beagle over an extended weekend and the experience was great. Meet-up, Drop-off and Pick-up was easy and communication was great. She sent us regular updates as well that’s always a comfort when staying away from our dog.

We had a wonderful experience with Shanna. We went on a two week trip and were a bit concerned on how our dog would do with us being away for so long. He tends to get a little anxious in unfamiliar places. To our surprise he did SO well while at Shanna’s. She ensured he felt welcomed and loved from day one. Boy, did he settled in quickly! Shanna sent daily photos, videos and updates on how our dog was doing. Seems like he had the time of his life lol Shanna is a wonderful dogsitter. She will be our top choice for any upcoming boarding needs.

Alexa did an amazing job taking care of my dog. She was kind, reliable, and very attentive, and I felt completely at ease knowing my dog was in such good hands. Communication was smooth, and it was clear she genuinely cares about animals. I really appreciated her help and would absolutely trust her again. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
