“Damara was wonderful! She was very caring and thoughtful with Theo. From the pictures and communication I could tell that Theo enjoyed his time with Demara and her daughter. Would definitely rebook in the future!”

“Courtney is wonderful with my dogs. I can always go away and feel comfortable leaving them with. I appreciate every thing she does for them and I know they will be safe and well taken care of.”

“My cat is anxious and shy and Audrey did a great job keeping her comfortable. She was very responsive and I received regular updates. My cat didn’t want to leave her at the end haha. Would recommend her to anyone. Thanks for everything! 🩷”

“She is amazing with dogs. She even goes the extra mile to ensure my pup is safe with a gps collar when they go to the dog park. She is responsible and responsive and will share pics and check in at whatever frequency you are comfortable with. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for boarding for their pup.”

“Coralee takes care of our two dogs during the holidays and treats them like part of the family! We are so grateful to have such a kind, reliable caretaker for our fur babies while we are out of town”

“Tyler was great with my dog Riley! She immediately took to his house and yard, as well as Tyler himself. He was flexible in terms of scheduling a meet-and-greet that was kinda last minute and was professional. He also provided plenty of photo updates of Riley throughout the stay. Overall, I would definitely use Tyler again for dog sitting.”

“Gina took good care of our 1yr old puppy - took her on lots of walks, fun outings to breweries, and play times for our energetic girl. Gina was very easy to work with for us as well. She was flexible with drop-off and pick-up times, and went out of her way to coordinate a pick up time when we left some of Lilah's stuff behind.”

“Megan and her family were so welcoming to our two very energetic dogs. Our dogs were worn out as soon as we got in the car! We received lots of pictures and updates during our weekend away. So thankful to Megan and her family for taking good care of our pups!”

“Adam gave us updates and sent great photos of our dog. It sounded like she also got to have a fun vacation, cruising around Adam's neighborhood and checking out the cool spots, while we were out of town! It certainly gave us peace of mind that our dog was enjoying herself and being well taken care of. Thanks, Adam!”

“Trish is an amazing dog sitter. She is very communicative and cared very much about the comfort of my slightly anxious dog. Reba had a hard life before coming to live with me and needs a little extra care and attention to make her feel comfortable in new surroundings. I 100% trust in Trish and highly recommend her.”

“This was Rocky’s first time with Mike and he seemed to do great! He’s very aloof in nature since he’s a Shiba Inu and takes some time to get comfy. Mike kept in contact and very quick to respond and provided pictures. Made me feel comfortable knowing he was doing okay! He was clean when we picked him up too. Will def use Mike again for future bookings!”

“Pickles had an amazing time with Maura! We got the cutest pictures everyday, it was clear that Pickles was loved, cared for and had so much fun! We already have booked with Maura again!”

“Stacey was great! My little guy fit right into her home. The texts and pictures she sent were more than proof enough for me. We’ve already discussed the possibility for JJ’s next stay. As soon as I know more information about my dates needed, I’m booking with Stacey. Absolutely wonderful!!!”

“Ali was fantastic. Great communication and photos which confirmed that Rosie was very happy! It was clear she really enjoyed having Rosie which made me even more comfortable. We will definitely use Ali again.”

“Annette was lovely and caring to both Gustavo and me. Delays in flights meant I was 7 hours late in getting to Gus. Annette graciously dealt with this inconvenience. She was always quick to respond to communications. Most importantly, Gus clearly felt at home and welcomed from the minute she greeted him. When I picked him up, he was clearly comfortable with Annette. Thank you.”

“I cannot appropriately express how much we love Natasha. We never left our dog with someone before, so we were initially nervous. I visited/looked at multiple dog kennel facilities and never felt comfortable leaving my dog in any of them. After our meet & greet, we believed Natasha would be a good fit. Natasha provided updates and photos, and it was clear our high-anxiety pup was settled in and comfortable. Natasha was patient and understanding (HIGH anxiety pup) and so kind to both us and our dog. I would recommend her to anyone.”

“What an amazing family this is! I could not say enough wonderful things about them! They took such amazing care of my Frankie (very needy frenchie)! I was nervous as we have never left our dog before. They gave us updates multiple times a day and really set my mind at ease leaving him. I would highly recommend for any pet care needs! I will definitely be booking with them again! I wish I could leave 100 stars!”

“Angela is super nice and attentive. My dog was right at home. I love that Angela reaches out through each day and even sends pictures. I’ll be working with Angela again for sure… and you should too :-)”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Allison Park
Lindsay and her family took wonderful care of Daisy. It’s evident that they love dogs and went above and beyond to care for her with play time, walks, and cuddle time during a storm. Daisy loves people and she received plenty of attention during her week-long stay. She loved their fenced-in back yard also. This was our first booking, and we will certainly board our dog with Lindsay again!

Sharon was great with our elderly dog, taking the time to get to know more about her before our trip and accommodating our concerns so we could relax and enjoy our vacation. She updated us with pictures and videos, so we knew our dog was doing well. She was flexible and communicative regarding drop off and pick up. Would absolutely book Sharon again if the need arises!

Caitlin and Connor were absolutely wonderful! They provided numerous updates of our pup while we were away. Our pup, Nova, got along great with Stone and came home happy and tired from all the playtime! We will definitely be reaching out to them again to watch Nova in the future!

Erin is the Best!!! My golden loves staying/playing there! My dog gets so much attention, snuggles and playtime! ! Erin is flexible, responds quickly and is definately a professional boarder.. Staying with Erin is like a doggie vacation! I wouldn’t want my dog to go anywhere else!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
