About: Hi! I’m a dependable and caring animal lover who has been around dogs my whole life. I grew up with a yellow lab, so I’m very familiar with the daily routines, energy, and love that dogs need. Since then, I’ve also spent a lot of time around friends’ and family members’ dogs, helping out with walks, playtime, feeding, and giving them attention. I work full-time as a nurse, but my schedule is only three days a week, which gives me four full days during the week and weekends to dedicate to pet care. On my days off, I have the time and flexibility to provide reliable walks, drop-ins, playtime, and lots of attention to make sure your dog feels comfortable and cared for. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a townhome complex, so I believe the best setup is caring for dogs in their own familiar environment through drop-in visits or picking them up for walks throughout the day. This allows your dog to stay in their normal routine while getting safe, attentive, and loving care.

I trust they care for my dog as much as I do. They get her personality entirely and make her feel like she’s the adorable Royal potato that she is. Always kind and generous with me and my dog. Have rebooked them a number of times now.

About: I’ve had pets of all kinds ever since I was little and have always had a strong love for animals. I said goodbye to my Shih Tzu in 2019, who lived a happy 15 years and now I have two goofy and loving sister cats. I have two years of experience dog-sitting, caring for both large and small breeds, as well as two years of cat-sitting experience with both single- and multi-cat households. I’m comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, routines, and needs, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. I'm currently working full-time, but I work remotely so I’m flexible during the week to do drop-ins or longer stays and fully available on the weekends. I always believe I’m leaving someone’s home better than I’ve come into it, whether that’s doing the last dish in the sink or having fresh flowers for when you return home. I treat your home with respect and your pet(s) as family. I double-check that doors are locked and happy to care for plants while I’m there.

About: As a compassionate animal enthusiast with over 25 years of experience, I am dedicated to providing exceptional care for your pets. Drawing from my diverse background as a mother, military veteran, and preschool teacher, I have built strong caregiving skills. In addition, in the past I have worked professionally as a veterinary technician for three years. Throughout my life, I have had the pleasure of owning various pets, including cats, dogs, chinchillas, hedgehogs, fish, pygmy goats, guinea pigs, turtles, and leopard geckos. Currently, I care for an English bulldog, a cat, and three guinea pigs. Having relocated to the Pittsburgh area in June 2024, I am excited to offer customized care solutions for your pet. As a preschool teacher with summers off, I am well-suited to provide your pets with the love, attention, and care they require, treating them with the same kindness I show my own pets. My availability during the school year is limited to nights, weekend, and holiday breaks. I am currently working as a preschool teacher. This gives me the whole summer off which allows me to be very flexible to care for your pets when you can't. I am committed to keeping your pet on the schedule you and your family want for them. All while keeping them safe and loving them.

About: I adore all animals, and even though that may mean I have a lack of survival instincts when it comes to the carnivorous ones, it also means I’m willing to handle any pet you may own with equal care—the legless ones included 😊. I only draw the line at anything within the six-&-above-legged category. I have had experience with animals since I was a child and have cared for dogs of all breeds and ages, bearded dragons, and even goats and a raccoon before. I also happen own a tiny dinosaur (at least he thinks so) and I adore pitt-bulls (seriously if you own one, I have lots of cuteness aggression to share with them 🥹). So, as long as your pet is not a deranged bulldozer on a leash I’d be quite honored to walk it, and if it is a maniac on the leash, maybe I’ll just feed and cuddle the monster while you’re gone. I have had experience with both mammals and reptiles and therefore am very aware of how high-maintenance and devious any pet can be. So if you have any concerns regarding an unusual or just particularly demanding pet, contact me! I will likely be willing to handle it! The weirder the creature the happier I’ll be to meet it ☺️!!! This summer is my last before college and I plan to fill it with pet-sitting and dog walking. So I will have plenty of time to spend with any furry client. Once the end of August hits, I will be a full-time college student however I am very willing to spend any time not spent studying on hanging with some cute animals ☺️. I have a fenced yard and three dogs at my own home. They can easily be separated if needed, and we do have several gates and a few crates. We have too many toys to share, and in the summertime, even a small dog pool. Whatever your pet needs to feel comfortable, I can easily achieve for you—I am very used to demanding pups ☺️.

About: I’ve had experience with all levels of pets. From giving medicine to training obedience and instilling confidence. I’ve cared for and owned breeds from chihuahuas to pitbulls. I have a genuine knowledge for doggy language and a vibe with kitties. Let me be your pets new best friend and ease both pet and human anxiety ☺️ Im currently working part time seasonally and will be free to play, walk or stay with your furry friend most days of the week. If you like my bio we can discuss more specifically what it looks like for me to stay with your pet! I’m an active and playful being that would love to walk your dog or take them on adventures in the car. I am good with daily big walks or runs inside a fenced yard. I love to train basic obedience like sit stay and heel. Crate trained?-no problem! Free roaming with boundaries- again, no problem!

About: Hi, I am an avid animal lover and used to volunteer at animal friends. I dog and turtle sit for a family friend when their away and I also used to cat sit for a lady with several cats and watch my friends cats when she's away. When I pet sit, I'd go and give the animals clean water, play with them, give them food, for cats change their litters, for turtles let them walk around outside their cage for enrichment for dogs I either let them out in the backyard or take them on walks. I am a firm believer in staying and giving as much of my attention to all animals for as long as possible and treating them as if they were my own pets. Pay rate is flexible. My availability is very flexible. Hope to hear from you soon!

About: Hi, I’m Erika, your pet’s new favorite human. With over 20 years of hands,on experience caring for cats and dogs, I know the rhythms, quirks, and cuddles that come with each unique pet. I was a professional pet sitter in Charlotte, NC for two years, and I’m now offering my services again because...let’s be honest...I miss the fur, the purrs, and the happy tail wags more than I expected. Whether your senior cat needs gentle meds and a quiet lap, your high-energy pup craves structured playtime, or your fish tank needs a watchful eye, I bring calm, confident care and lots of love. I treat every animal like they’re part of the family because they are. I’ve lived with animals my whole life. I respect their space, match their energy, and pay close attention to body language and routines. I’m also neurodivergent, which means my superpowers are detail, consistency, and emotional attunement...especially with shy or anxious pets. Let’s make your time away guilt-free and their time with me fun, safe, and relaxing. Pet care is my routine. I live with two divas,Gypsum and Luna Beans. My days revolve around meals, meds, walks, snuggles, zoomies, and the occasional dramatic stare down over the “wrong” brand of treats. I’ve built my life around reading body language, keeping routines stable, and making every pet feel safe, seen, and spoiled. Whether your fur baby is high-energy or high-maintenance, I’ve probably had one just like them at home. Overnight stays mean I’m there for your pets when it matters most....dinner, walks, playtime, bedtime routines, and even those 3am “just because” wake-up calls. I move into their world so their schedule doesn’t have to change, and I treat every overnight like a personalized slumber party (minus the glitter, plus extra treats).

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
