I always believe I’m leaving someone’s home better than I’ve come into it, whether that’s doing the last dish in the sink or having fresh flowers for when you return home. I treat your home with respect and your pet(s) as family. I double-check that doors are locked and happy to care for plants while I’m there.

Before caring for your pet, I’d love to know about their usual routine, personality, feeding schedule, and any specific needs or preferences. It’s also important to know about medications, medical conditions, allergies, or anything they may be sensitive to. I’d appreciate knowing how they interact with people and other animals, what they enjoy doing, and anything that helps them feel comfortable and safe. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can make their time with me feel familiar, stress-free, and enjoyable.
A typical day
Every pet has their own routine and personality, so I like to make each day fun and tailored to their needs. I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, exercise, and affection as suits their needs while keeping their normal feeding and care schedule. For dogs, that might mean walks, training, games of fetch, or long sniffs around the neighborhood. For cats, I try to engage in interactive play, toys, cuddles, brushing, or giving them space to do their own thing if they’re more independent. I’m also happy to send updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing while you’re away.

Pet care experience
I’ve had pets of all kinds ever since I was little and have always had a strong love for animals. I said goodbye to my Shih Tzu in 2019, who lived a happy 15 years and now I have two goofy and loving sister cats. I have two years of experience dog-sitting, caring for both large and small breeds, as well as two years of cat-sitting experience with both single- and multi-cat households. I’m comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, routines, and needs, and I treat every animal as if they were my own.

We have two crazy dogs and Adena has been our go-to dog sitter for the past four years. Our dogs have totally different personalities and needs, including different food regiments. Adena does a great job with each of them, giving them plenty of exercise, love and attention. She has also stayed in our home over weekends while we were away and is a wonderful house guest who leaves things as she found them. I highly recommend Adena!
