“Coco is so happy to have friends at Amy's . Amy is such a great sitter. We never worry about her and she is always good when we pick her up. I highly recommend Amy for a safe, reliable sitter.”

“Somdipa watched my Boston terrier, Dude, while I went on vacation for a week, and everything went great! I felt confident that he was well taken care of the whole time. Dude didn't want to leave, so I could tell he had a fun time. Would be very happy to have Somdipa watch Dude again in the future!”

“Silvana took amazing care of our dog, Lilah for a week and we are so happy to have chosen her to watch our puppy. She sent us daily pictures of Lilah, took her on walks, hikes, and fun outings. Silvana was flexible with our schedule, and her own work schedule was flexible enough to care for our young dog who has not mastered being home alone for more than 5 hours yet. We are super grateful and will book with Silvana again in the near future.”

“Our dog had a great stay with Erin! We received consistent updates with pictures. Erin was flexible with arranging a meet and greet beforehand. We will definitely be reaching out to Erin again when we need someone to watch our dog!”

“Mike was great. He was easy to work with to schedule and was very accommodating regarding our care instructions for Crosby. Crosby gets along great with Mike and had a good time while there.”

About: Although we’re new to Rover, we’ve owned dogs our whole lives and understand that every dog is different. Some want to play nonstop, others just want someone nearby while they nap. Our family (including our two daughters) are all dog lovers, so visiting dogs become part of the family while they’re here. We’re happy to adjust to whatever helps your dog feel comfortable and stick to the routine they’re used to. I (Keith) work from home several days each week, so pet care fits naturally into my schedule. Morning walks, yard time, potty breaks, meals, and playtime are already part of my day with my own dog, so adding another four-legged friend feels pretty normal. My wife (Leigh) is home in the evenings and on the weekends so we both get to give our dog and visiting dogs a lot of attention and love. We keep our availability realistic so every dog gets the time and attention they deserve. We have a fully fenced backyard and live in a quiet neighborhood that’s great for walks. Our own dog is friendly, but we don’t assume every dog wants an instant playmate, so introductions are always slow and supervised. If your dog needs their own space, that’s not a problem. We’ll follow your feeding schedule, medications, and any instructions you leave so their stay is as close to home as possible.

“Laura made Willow feel right at home from the start! And Laura made us feel comfortable right from the start with all of the photos/texts she shared. Couldn't have been happier with Willow's care.”

“Colette and her daughters provided excellent care for our pug, Sebastian. She was quick to respond to messages and was very polite. I didn't worry once while I was away and when we picked up Sebastian, we could tell he was well cared for. Thank You Colette!”

“My dog seemed happy and comfortable when I picked her up. I also appreciated Chelsey being available on short notice when unexpected travel came up. Overall, it was a good experience.”

“All of the stars to Sharon for her loving care of our boy, Luke!!! This was the longest we’ve been away from Luke in years. He settled right back in to his usual routine at home and is completely relaxed. We can tell he had a wonderful time when we were away!”
“Our schedule was erratic and included my mistake in scheduling. Sima and her family were gracious hosts and worked with our schedule. I received updates on how our doggo was doing everyday. It has been a pleasure working with them, I would definitely consider them next time we are in town.”

About: I'm a huge animal lover - big and small! I've had dogs and cats my whole life. We have a sweet cat who absolutely loves every dog that comes through our home. We currently have a Great Dane and Great Pyrenees as well as chickens, 1 guinea pig, 2 rabbits and fish. I'm all about making sure our babies are happy and healthy and living the best life we can provide to them. After doing much research and lots of experience, I've learned a lot about a dog's language and how to respect them. I will treat your pets as if they are my own and will love on them just the same. I can't wait to meet your fur-babies! Rover is my full time job right now so I’m available to take care of your pup throughout the day as need be, whether that’s just hanging out or a walk or potty break, etc. I have a large fenced in yard and our 2 dogs will gladly keep your pup company and enjoy running around. I can easily crate if need be as well.
About: I have basic experience watching dogs of friends and family. I have experience overnight house sitting, walking dogs, and quick check ins. I am excited to gain more experience on Rover. I am free full time right now! Please reach out! Things will get busier once the fall semester starts, but right now I can work full time. I will make sure all pets are safe at my home. I do not have a fence but we have a lead that allows them to roam while being attached to our lead.
“Adrienne does an amazing job with Finn! She kept us updated with the absolute cutest pictures and videos of him playing with Phoebe and snuggling on their couch. When we got home, he was so snoozy after having a great few days playing with his buddies. Thanks again for taking great care of our little guy.”

“Tamara was an excellent sitter for my little dog! I will definitely book her in the future! I'm not sure my dog even wanted to come home. She was comfortable there from the get go! Tamara also went above and beyond when my dog grabbed a chicken bone thrown in the grass.”

“Bo seemed very at ease at Audrey's house. I appreciated the daily updates on him too! Thank you so much - will rebook if you're available the next time”

I’m so grateful that Megan and William were able to take Betty last minute and were so flexible with our plans! They kept me updated with pictures throughout her stay, which gave me great peace of mind. I also really appreciated them taking Betty for a walk and giving her such great care. I would definitely recommend Megan and William to anyone looking for kind, reliable, and thoughtful sitters!

Dana was amazing! We greatly appreciated the excellent communication/pictures and attention to detail throughout the experience. Leo enjoyed his stay and we loved the peace of mind knowing he was in great hands. We look forward to booking with Dana in the future. Thank you, Dana!

We are so glad to have found Michelle and Sami. They treated our golden dog like family for our holiday weekend away. They also have 2 sons who were super helpful. The whole family took part in caring for our dog. My pup came back happy and tired from playing with their dogs ☺️

Ann was terrific. Its the first time that Lucy stayed outside our house and she thoroughly enjoyed her "vaction" with Ann and her son. Ann provided us with updates daily and met all the criteria you hope from a pet sitter. We have no concerns about another stay with Ann.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
