About: Dog walking & sitting was my very first job, and has always remained my favorite. I am a mom to a 2 year old Cavalier King Charles boy but have cared for dogs of all sizes and ages, including older ones who require medications. I only work very part-time and am looking to make dog walking more a part of my weekly life! They say a job should be what you love doing and I love taking care of doggos. I can make your dog's care a priority, dedicating time and focus on them. I am punctual and trustworthy, and offer clear and consistent communication. I understand how it feels to leave your dog's care in someone else's hands. Sometimes we just have to! I will show up to your home on time, taking your doggo for the exercise they need, and making sure they have ample bathroom and play time.

About: I am a 19-year-old animal lover with over 6 years of pet-sitting experience caring for dogs, cats, horses, and chickens. My passion for animals started at a young age, and beginning at 13, I regularly walked dogs for several neighbors. Through pet sitting, I have gained experience with animals of all sizes and personalities, from energetic puppies to horses and farm animals. I am dedicated to providing reliable, attentive care and making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. 🐾 I currently work part-time at my family’s coffee shop, which gives me a flexible schedule for pet care. I am often available for early morning visits before work, midday visits after my morning shift (typically around noon), and evening care as needed. I am reliable, responsible, and happy to work with pet owners to find a schedule that meets their pets’ needs. I also have a friendly bulldog who loves meeting new people and dogs. If your dog enjoys socializing and you’re comfortable with it, I can bring her along for company during visits. Of course, your pet’s comfort and preferences always come first, and I will only do this with your permission.

About: I have owned and taken care of dogs of all sizes and ages. I have also managed dogs with severe anxiety and certain health issues. I am a college student so until May I am limited to weekends. After May, I will be available workdays and weekends during the day and at night. I have confident skills in understanding dog and cat language from past experiences. I am also great at handling and crating dogs at their own comfort level.
“Kate is always so great with our kitties! She’s very reliable and easy to communicate with. The cats are usually very shy but they were so quick to warm up to her. We hate leaving the cats but Kate makes it much less stressful!”

“Jennifer did a great job with my two cats and communicated well. Jennifer check in online and gave regular updates after each visit which included details on each cat and pictures which I really appreciated. It was a great relief for me to know my cats were in good hands. Will definitely book again.”

“This was the second time I had Jennifer take care of my cats and she did another great job! She cares for my cats like they are her own and communicates her visits very well. I highly recommend!”

About: While volunteering for dog rescue for 6+ years, I’ve had the opportunity to foster over 160 dogs of all ages, administer just about every type of medication, and vaccinate 1000’s of dogs traveling to foster and adopter homes I do not work for anyone else. My time will be fully dedicated to your pet along with my own and with as much love I have 3 friendly dogs at home. I have the ability to keep dogs separately in open or closed rooms. Crates or not crated. Once comfortable, they can spend time on the couch and playtime with other dogs with your approval.
“Amy was fantastic!! My whole family was heading out of town for a family wedding. I never had to have someone other than family watch my beloved "old man". Amy took great care of Marley. He wasn't at all stressed when I got home! I am sure I'll be booking Amy again! She even brought in my heavy Chewy box!! :)”

“Jodi was absolutely amazing! She took care of my two kitty girls and made me feel at ease leaving them in her care! She was flexible, kept in touch throughout the whole process, and even went out of her way to clean up the litter room so I came home to one less thing I had to do. Thank you!!”

“Allyson was so good with my boys! She went above and beyond for them. She walked them, fed them, gave them their medicine and hung out with them outside during the nice weather days. I got pictures every visit to show how happy they were with her taking care of them. Already booked Allyson for my next trip! Thanks again for being great!”

“Sa was great with my full of energy dog. She arrived on time and did exactly as asked. Sa is professional and easy to work with regarding scheduling a time. She sent pictures of my dog during her time with him. I will definitely hire her again.”

About: I’ve taken care of kittens, Cats, Puppies, Dogs, even chickens. I have done it all. I am very reliable when it comes to dog walking, because I walk my dog every day. I have a French bulldog myself, his expertise, health, and happiness is one of my main priorities. I love animals and have been loving them ever since I was a little girl. I have a huge heart when it comes to them, they are the best for comfort, and deserve to be loved by everyone. They are just the most precious little babies ever! 🫶 I am mostly free in the mornings and in the afternoons. When ever I have the time I am always on a walk with my dog or at the park with him trying to get him the exercise he needs. Cause he is a little big for his breed and needs the exercise and and to be out of the house. As soon as I wake up I take my dog out for a walk. Then I fill up his bowl with food and his other with water. Then in the afternoon when I get done school I’ll take him out again. And lastly at night I take him out for the third time. Give him food and water. He is my #1 priority as always (: I try and play with him as much as I can during the day, but I’m a busy girl so I do my best!
“My dog has a lot of separation anxiety. Jessica popped in to take her for a walk while I was at work. Jessica was great with communication and sent me a picture while on their walk. Jessica was thorough, and asked great questions prior to meeting my dog. She gave me peace of mind while I was at work. I would recommend Jessica and will be using her again! 😊”

“Alexis checked on my two cats once a day for a week. She spent a good amount of time with my cats and sent updates every day. My boys were well cared for and I will absolutely use Alexis again.”

“Lydia is incredibly pet-friendly and caring. We knew that six small-breed dogs could be a challenge, but she was able to meet each of their individual needs while keeping us updated throughout the entire stay, which gave us complete peace of mind. We were able to truly enjoy our vacation because we knew they were in great hands. Lydia was very proactive, attentive, and communicative. Amy is a fantastic and loving caregiver!! We are so lucky that we found her. She is attuned to both of our pets needs and spends quality time with both them in addition to all the tactical stuff (food, water, potty breaks). She is highly communicative and even brings in packages if they come so the house feels attended to as well! Do yourself a favor and book Amy!!
Allyson was so good with my boys! She went above and beyond for them. She walked them, fed them, gave them their medicine and hung out with them outside during the nice weather days. I got pictures every visit to show how happy they were with her taking care of them. Already booked Allyson for my next trip! Thanks again for being great!

Taylor's pet care service was exceptional! Daily reports were much appreciated - and she did much more than we had asked or expected. We could not have been more pleased with her services - and definitely plan to request them again if she continues to provide them. Would highly recommend Taylor!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
