“Jennifer was great with my two kitties! It was the longest I’d been away from them and she understood how tough that was for me. She left thorough notes after each visit updating me on how it went. She was very responsive anytime I contacted her about the visits!”

“Kaitlyn P. is an excellent communicator and our dog loved her! She went above and beyond with all that we asked her to do! Will definitely rebook when we need care for our dog! Highly recommend her!”

About: I've been a pet owner since I was two years old and played a major role in taking care of my family dogs and guinea pig! I've had my own dog, a cattle dog mix, for the last 5+ years. I've educated myself on training techniques and skills for stimulating dogs physically and mentally in order to keep up with her! I have experience looking after friends' and families' cats and dogs, and I'm a self-appointed playground monitor at my local dog park. I'm excited to meet your furry family member and give them some love and care while you're away. I'm currently applying for engineering / academic jobs after earning my degree, so other than caring for my own dog, my days are wide open. I have a fenced-in backyard and a playful dog who is great with dogs of all sizes. I've got food puzzles, Bully Make and Benebone chew toys, and a ChuckIt tennis ball thrower. My dog is crate-trained so I'm happy to follow your lead on your pets' needs.
About: I've been surrounded by dogs since early childhood and I have years of experience caring for them. From daily routines to playtime and cuddles, I'm attentive, responsible, and committed to making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I currently have open availability and a flexible schedule, which allows me to accommodate weekdays, weekends, and holidays. I'm happy to work around your needs to ensure your pet receives consistent, reliable care. When caring for pets in my clients' homes, I prioritize maintaining their normal routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I follow all care instructions carefully, provide plenty of attention and affection, and treat both your pet and your home with the utmost respect.
“Sharon is outstanding -- on time, great communicator, courteous and most importantly, she was very kind and loving towards our cat, Leia. Couldn't have asked for anyone better!”

“Danielle is awesome. We have four dogs, three of them on the bigger side, and one has to wear a belly band due to marking in the house. She’s awesome about getting it off him before going out to potty and putting a new one on. It’s an odd task, but she handles it with ease! She does weekly visits for us and is great with the pups. Trustworthy and thorough - we highly recommend her!”

“Iana was fantastic! Very communicative and good with our two dogs. She spent time with them and made sure to update us each visit. She was very flexible and accommodating so we will seek her again.”

“Ryan went above and beyond what was expected of him. He took excellent care of my two dogs and bonded very well with both of them. Will use him again without any hesitation. Thank you Ryan for taking such good care of them”

“Eronda was such a caring and loving person whit my maxis, I’m sure they loved to spend this time whit her. She send me updates and pictures everyday after a walk and I can say they were calm, pampered and very happy. Thank you so much Eronda, there’s no better feeling than to know your furry babies are safe and having some love ❤️.”

“Alexis checked on my two cats once a day for a week. She spent a good amount of time with my cats and sent updates every day. My boys were well cared for and I will absolutely use Alexis again.”

“Nikki was a life saver! I had a family emergency which required a next day booking and she made herself available. Even my shy girl Annie warmed up to her. Nikki was very amenable to several changes in schedule with no problems. She will be the first we call the next time a sitter is needed and I know Annie and Blu look forward to seeing her again!”

“My dog has a lot of separation anxiety. Jessica popped in to take her for a walk while I was at work. Jessica was great with communication and sent me a picture while on their walk. Jessica was thorough, and asked great questions prior to meeting my dog. She gave me peace of mind while I was at work. I would recommend Jessica and will be using her again! 😊”

“Bonnie was amazing with my two dogs. It was so nice knowing that they were in such great hands and the updates and pictures really helped put me at ease. From the looks of it both of my dogs loved her. Even my older female warmed up to her and she rarely warms up to anyone aside from myself! This is my first time using Bonnie and I will definitely continue using her in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Glenshaw
Heather was amazing! Saved the day when a sitter canceled on us at the last moment and took amazing care of our furry family members. The photos she sent were the best, we could tell Fleury and Tela were getting lots of love from Heather every visit. Heather will be our first choice going forward.
Sharon is superb!! ! She is professional and reliable and very easy to work with. She kept us informed our whole trip and sent pictures and updates of her visits every day with our cat, Chickpea. She even kept a watch on our house as we were away in the very frigid temperatures , which gave us total peace of mind. We are so happy to have found Sharon and will booking with her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
