About: I’ve been working with a variety of dogs of all different breeds for roughly 6 years via dog walking, dog sitting, etc! I love dogs of all kinds! I’m a doctoral student of occupational therapy, so most of my time is spent working via fieldwork and doing homework. About: Hi, I'm Sam! I grew up with pets my whole life — birds first, then dogs — so caring for animals has always felt like second nature to me. I've been dog walking and sitting since 2022, and I also sit for cats. I'm comfortable administering medication when needed too. I work a hybrid schedule, so on weekdays I'm typically out of the house for a few hours during the day — your pet's routine (feeding, walks, downtime) stays consistent around that. I'm very communicative before and during every stay, and I want to know exactly what your pet needs to make sure they're comfortable while you're away. In addition, I have continuously watched dogs for my family and friends. For several years I also volunteered for Animal Friends, walking dogs and doing cat socialization. I work a full time job, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. I have plenty of availability weekday evenings. The weekends I am available from 7am to 10pm. About: I have a bit too much time on my hands and love animals. I've cared for dogs and cats for many years as a volunteer. I'm a complete pacifist and have too much love in my heart not to share it with more animals! I work part time in retail so my schedule is very variable. What's great about that is that I have availability all day some days! However, i don't have weekends off. I will treat your place with respect and cater to your pets' needs. Jessica's daily drop-ins were just what our orange boy needed while we were away. Her updates were great, we could tell from the photos that he appreciated not just the food (I mean, he LOVES food), but the company and the attention as well. If we take another long trip like this, we'll definitely be looking to bring her back to take care of him again.
Faux is hands down, top three improvements to my life in the last year!!! I have two dogs and two cats and for the last year faux comes four day a week mid day to walk and check on the crew. I work in events so I often have long weekends with 16-18 hours days and she always comes through. The updates are great! The communication when she needs time off, always pretty far in advance and she never calls off!!! Sshe is so flexible with me when I need to reschedule … basically, I love Faux… but nobody loves her more than my animals. She is THE best! Book with her!

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
