Hi! My name is Marissa and I love animals! I know that’s what most Rover profiles say, but for me it’s true! Growing up I was always “that girl" in the neighborhood who would watch the everyone’s cats, dogs, fish, and hampsters. During the pandemic, when I started working from home, I started using Rover and Wag! part-time and it has been the best decision I’ve ever made. I also help to foster for a rescue that saves dogs from kill shelters in the southern states. I have experience with cats, dogs, fish, birds, and other small furry creatures. I am familiar with giving medication orally and/or through injection, have worked with animals of all ages and temperaments, senior animals, and animals with disabilities or special needs (deaf, blind, etc.).

Safety, trust & environment
While it’s rare that an animal dislikes me, I do require a meet-and-greet with all new clients. before a new service to 1) make sure I’m a good fit for your pet and 2) learn all about them and their routine. For new boarding or doggy daycare clients I do require a trial stay to make sure the experience will be comfortable for your pet. When caring for pets, I want to keep their environment and routine as normal as usual. During our meet and greet I’ll work with you the pet owner to figure out what works best on a case-by-case basis. Your pets are your family and I’ll always treat them like they’re part of mine.

Schedule
Please refer to my calendar for the most up-to-date availability. I do my best to accommodate last-minute requests when possible, but I tend to book quickly—so I recommend reaching out in advance to secure your dates. I currently offer dog walks, drop-in visits, doggy daycare, and boarding. I’m happy to tailor care to your pet’s needs, whether that’s a neighborhood walk or a more active outing to a local park or trail. As a pet owner myself, my availability for house sitting is more limited and does not include 24/7 care. However, I always ensure your pet receives attentive, reliable care and plenty of time, attention, and exercise during scheduled visits.
