Availability
I (Keith) work from home several days each week, so pet care fits naturally into my schedule. Morning walks, yard time, potty breaks, meals, and playtime are already part of my day with my own dog, so adding another four-legged friend feels pretty normal. My wife (Leigh) is home in the evenings and on the weekends so we both get to give our dog and visiting dogs a lot of attention and love. We keep our availability realistic so every dog gets the time and attention they deserve.

We have a fully fenced backyard and live in a quiet neighborhood that’s great for walks. Our own dog is friendly, but we don’t assume every dog wants an instant playmate, so introductions are always slow and supervised. If your dog needs their own space, that’s not a problem. We’ll follow your feeding schedule, medications, and any instructions you leave so their stay is as close to home as possible.

We’d love to know anything that helps your dog have a better stay. Do they get along with other dogs? Any fears, quirks, favorite toys, or routines they're used to? Are there any foods they can't have, medications they take, or allergies we should be aware of? Dogs are welcome to relax wherever they’re comfortable, and we’re happy to follow whatever sleeping arrangement they’re used to at home. Before your stay, we'll also ask that you provide proof that your dog is up to date on their vaccinations. It helps us keep every dog in our home healthy and safe. The more we know beforehand, the better we can make their stay feel like home.
A typical day
A typical day includes plenty of time outside, walks around the neighborhood, and throwing a tennis ball (or whatever their favorite toy is) around the backyard. Our own dog usually gets about a one-mile walk each day, and we’re happy to include your dog if that fits their energy level and routine. If your dog enjoys running, we’re happy to take them along for an easy run. Otherwise we’ll keep things relaxed with walks, playtime, belly rubs, and plenty of time just hanging out around the house.

Although we’re new to Rover, we’ve owned dogs our whole lives and understand that every dog is different. Some want to play nonstop, others just want someone nearby while they nap. Our family (including our two daughters) are all dog lovers, so visiting dogs become part of the family while they’re here. We’re happy to adjust to whatever helps your dog feel comfortable and stick to the routine they’re used to.
