“Greatly appreciated the attention Molly (westie terrier) received while with Erica. Would recommend Erica to others and will use her again when needed. She has a great set up and very accommodating around our travelling plans.”

“We had great experience with Jena and Nick. Dexter received lots of love, personal attention, playtime, daily walks. Their pet Sebastian was a very nice dog and became great buddy of Dexter in a short time. They have a very nice and clean fenced backyard too. Dexter really enjoyed his time with Jena, Nick and Sebastian… We really appreciate their effort in making sure Dexter felt it at home…Thank you Jane, Nick and Sebastian for being so lovely to Dexter.”

“I was nervous about leaving my 7 month old lab for a week, especially with having some stomach problems prior to leaving. Chang was great at sending daily updates with pictures. I would definitely recommend her to anyone that needs to leave their pup behind while they go away”

“Lindsay and her family are amazing! They took great care of my dog while on vacation. Daily I received pictures and updates. Communication was outstanding. Will definitely book again!”

“Bryn always does an amazing job with our dog, Crosby! I am an anxious dog mom but I never have to worry when he is with Bryn because I know he is getting lots of love and everything he needs!”

“It was the first time leaving my two Cavaliers with someone other than a family member. Lisa calmed my anxiety and sent several updates over the weekend. She accommodated my lazy, anxious older dog as well as my rambunctious puppy. Both pups were content and relaxed! I would definitely book Lisa again.”

“Mary and family were the best. She treated Sullivan as one of her own, sent pictures, and was super responsive with messages. She went above and beyond to make Sullivan feel at home by allowing him to "rest" on furniture, taking him for several walks a day, and even taking him to a baseball game. I just hope she will have him back :).”

About: I've been around dogs my entire life with a wide range of care needs and sizes (I grew up with several pitbulls, a french bulldog, and a bullmastiff). I currently own an Australian Cattle Dog, who keeps me active, so I'm very comfortable handling high energy breeds and making sure they receive the enrichment they need. In addition to dogs, I've owned cats and fostered rabbits, so I'm comfortable caring for a variety of pets. I've also worked as a regular dog walker and pet sitter in the past. I'm currently unemployed before starting law school, which gives me a very flexible schedule. Once school starts during the week, your pet would never be left alone for more than about 1–1.5 hours at a time with my current school schedule. I am an incoming first year law student at Duquesne Law fall 2026. For the remainder of the summer, I am unemployed and I will remain unemployed throughout the school year. With my current class schedule, I will only be in class for 1.5 hours at a time with a maximum of 3 hours a day. With that said, I am able to offer boarding services in addition to walks and drop in visits. I have a high energy dog of my own who is run/walked several times throughout the day. I currently live with my boyfriend in a row house with a partially fenced backyard on a quiet street down town. I have taken care of animals all my life and my own pets are my #1 priority. I would love to have the opportunity to offer that same care to others in need. I am very active and would love to primarily focus on walking dogs and in home care. I would be more than willing to cater to the needs of your specific dog. I am a distance runner so I would love to take long walks if needed!
“Raeann was amazing! From the initial meet and greet it was clear that Hudson would be well cared for. During his stay, she shared pictures/updates of their time together. She opened up her home to him. I will absolutely consider Raeann again to take care of Hudson while I travel!”

“Maria is so welcoming and kind to our dog. Her home is a perfect pet vacation spot especially with her adorable, friendly and well mannered dogs. She is very good about updates and sending photos which really helps when you have to be away from your pet. Maria is very flexible and attuned to our dog’s needs and her sweet son is such a gentle helper..he gives her love, plenty of treats and even reads to her! We feel so lucky to have found Maria and her family!”

“My two cavapoos had the best time and Samantha was very responsive with updates to ease my anxiety about leaving them for so long! I would highly recommended trusting her with your fur babies!”

“Jennifer and Devin were amazing! We came from Orlando for vacation and they were very communicative before and during the stay. They made me feel very safe that Akiro was going to be in good hands while we went out. Akiro was feeling a little sick from the stress of traveling and she reassured me that they can still watch him. Their pup Batman was so so sweet and was such a good friend to Akiro. He was showing him all the good spots to lay on the couch. They also provided me with many pictures to make sure we knew he was having a good time.”

“Tia did an amazing job looking after my puppy Milo!!! Milo had such a fun time playing with their family dog and she keep me updated throughout with the cutest pictures and videos. Highly recommend!!!! Will definitely be booking again!!”

“Jordyn was awesome with our dog! I would certainly recommend her to anyone, she was incredibly responsive and friendly, and our dog Addie loved her!”

“Meliisa and her family are amazing !!! They took such great care of Balto !! Balto became part of the family while he was there and enjoyed all the things he does at home :). Highly recommend Meliisa !!”

About: I've been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember and have been caring for cats and dogs since I was a little girl. Growing up with pets taught me the importance of patience, responsibility, and understanding that every animal has their own unique personality and needs. Over the years, I've cared for and babysat pets for friends, family, and neighbors, earning their trust through dependable, compassionate care. My experience includes caring for cats and dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes, energy levels, and temperaments—from playful puppies and energetic dogs to senior pets who need a little extra patience and attention, as well as independent cats and affectionate lap cats alike. I understand that some pets warm up quickly while others need time to build trust, and I always let them set the pace. Whether it's feeding, walking, playtime, administering basic care, cleaning litter boxes, or simply providing companionship and comfort while you're away, I treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to make sure your furry family member feels safe, loved, and well cared for, while giving you peace of mind knowing they're in reliable hands. I work full time out of the home, but can be available to board animals overnight on weekdays for (1) night with a pick up by 7:30 AM the following day and can board or house-visit over the weekend (Drop off Friday after 4PM thru Sundays-pick up by 5 pm Sunday). I can do house visits any week day after 4 PM. I have a fenced in backyard and a very walkable, safe neighborhood. My home is a pet's paradise with lots of comfy couches and plenty of space to run and play, and windows for clocking in for Neighborhood Watch :) I don't mind animals sleeping with me, if they want to! Otherwise, plenty of places for furry ones to nap and snooze whenever they choose.
“I have a really hard time leaving my dog with anyone but Denyal made me feel comfortable. She sent a lot of pictures and responded quickly when I checked in with her. My dog got lots of exercise and attention, and since other dogs were staying with her as well, they all played together. I would highly recommend Denyal.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Millvale
Maxwell was the best sitter for our corgi Oscar we could possibly ask for. He bonded with Oscar instantly and we could tell from afar how much care and love Maxwell puts into caring for his guest-pets. He was extremely communicative online both before and during the sitting that it reassured us he was being taken care of so well with photos to accompany. Maxwell also just comes across as a very positive and friendly person, so know that your animal is in the best care. We feel lucky Oscar was able to stay with him and will definitely recommend him again in the future. The best sitter we’ve had so far on Rover. He went above and beyond and even took Oscar for doggy ice cream! Thanks Maxwell!

Erica was amazing and made us feel so at ease knowing our dog was in our care when we traveled abroad for a week. Our dog loves people but doesn’t love to be around other dogs he does not know, so knowing she only boards one dog at a time was a huge win for us & our dog Jack!

I had an amazing experience with Eronda! She is incredibly kind, passionate about what she does, and took wonderful care of Bailey. Bailey clearly had a fantastic time with her, and I loved receiving photo updates throughout the stay. I highly recommend Eronda to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter!

Damara was amazing, and I can’t recommend her enough! I am always anxious to leave my pup behind, but I didn’t worry about her at all while we were gone for 10 days. Damara set up a time for Lola to visit before the trip to make sure she was comfortable when we left. She also provided the perfect amount of updates and photos. I wouldn’t be surprised if Lola is annoyed she had to come back home after getting so many walks and playtime and love from Damara and her daughter. Lola has a human sister at home, so having a kid who loves and cares for dogs well was perfect for her! It was obvious that Lola was happy, comfortable, and well cared for by both of them. I can’t say enough about our experience with Damara, and I’m so glad to have found her! We will definitely use her again in the future!

We had an amazing experience with Angela. We boarded our boxer, Tuula, for 8 nights while we were on vacation, and I couldn’t have asked for better care. She was incredibly accommodating when we had a last-minute request, which took so much stress off our shoulders before our trip. Communication was excellent throughout the stay, and we received updates that gave us peace of mind knowing Tuula was happy and well cared for. Pickup and drop-off were both quick, easy, and convenient, making the whole experience seamless. The best part was bringing home a happy, relaxed dog—it was obvious that Tuula had been loved and treated like part of the family while we were away. We are so grateful for the wonderful care she provided and would absolutely book with her again. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable sitter.

Apoorva was excellent! My older dog was a first time boarder with Apoorva and I felt confident in the booking from our first messages. She and her husband exceeded my expectations in the care they showed. They really provided such an excellent home away from home for my little girl. She was able to maintain her normal schedule and routines and got so comfortable there, played fetch outside and inside too! I got regular photo updates and any symptoms or questions about her needs were brought up to me swiftly. I would definitely recommend and would love to book with Apoorva again as a need arises!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
