“100% would recommend Ric to care for your pups. Great daily updates and quick response time on bookings. Oscar stayed 1 full week and certainly felt at home. Thanks!!”
“Nicole watched my dog while I was out of town and did a great job! I got plenty of updates, her home was lovely, and my old dog seemed so happy. 10/10 would book again!”

“Dara was great! My dog Pepper is always nervous when she stays with a sitter, so I sincerely appreciated Dara's honesty when she told me Pepper seemed nervous during her stay. Overall Pepper did very well and loved running in her fenced yard! Dara always replied quickly and she sent me photos daily :)”
“Adam gave us updates and sent great photos of our dog. It sounded like she also got to have a fun vacation, cruising around Adam's neighborhood and checking out the cool spots, while we were out of town! It certainly gave us peace of mind that our dog was enjoying herself and being well taken care of. Thanks, Adam!”

“Elizabeth was a great choice to care for my dog Dunkin! She let him make himself right at home in her space and sent consistent pictures and updates allowing me to have great peace of mind while away. Would recommend!”

“Adrienne is a true dog lover. She was sweet and patient with my large (and overdue for a bath) Golden, and sent pictures and a video! It was so helpful to put us at ease. He was calm and happy when we picked him up. ”

“I cannot appropriately express how much we love Natasha. We never left our dog with someone before, so we were initially nervous. I visited/looked at multiple dog kennel facilities and never felt comfortable leaving my dog in any of them. After our meet & greet, we believed Natasha would be a good fit. Natasha provided updates and photos, and it was clear our high-anxiety pup was settled in and comfortable. Natasha was patient and understanding (HIGH anxiety pup) and so kind to both us and our dog. I would recommend her to anyone.”

“When we had to go out of town for a family emergency we are so grateful that we found Mary and her family to watch our dog for a long weekend. Dutches was cared for extremely well and we received updates and pictures throughout. Mary and her family went out of there way to treat Dutches like one of their own. I highly recommend Mary and we will be reaching out to her for our dog boarding needs in the future!”

“Justin was just fabulous with my corgi terrier mix Monty! He is communicative and conscientious and just a super nice person. He sent wonderful pics and informative and helpful updates. I felt completely comfortable leaving Monty with Justin and cannot recommend him highly enough. Five stars!”

“We cannot say enough good things about Brad (and Jenni)! Our dogs are a bit quirky and we are very selective with who watches them. These two hit it out of the park! We received multiple daily updates and lots of pictures of our dogs doing their favorite activities, just as if they were home with us. Extremely patient and caring dog lovers.”

About: Animals have been part of my life since day one. I grew up with dogs and cats of all personalities! I currently share my home with Kisses, my calico, and Teddy, my German Shorthaired Pointer — one of the highest-energy breeds out there — so if your dog goes a mile a minute, I'm more than ready for it!! Over the years I've dog sat for all sizes and breeds — from tiny lap dogs to large, boisterous pups — and I treat every single one like they're my own. Your pet will be loved, played with, and completely spoiled. My home has a fully fenced backyard with plenty of room to run, zoom, and explore that's perfect for dogs who need to burn off some energy. I'm also comfortable administering medication, so pets with special health needs are absolutely welcome. Your baby will get the same attentive care at my place that they get at home. Whether your pet needs a calm, cozy stay or a high-energy playmate, I've got them covered. I can't wait to meet your furry family member! I work remotely with a very flexible schedule, which means pet care is never an afterthought. It's woven into my whole day. I'm home the majority of the week, and on the rare occasion I do step out, I'm never gone for more than 3 hours. Your pet will always have someone present, attentive, and ready to play, cuddle, or just keep them company. No long stretches alone, ever. My home is set up thoughtfully for both dogs and cats. The layout is split-level, with cats having full run of the upstairs and dogs enjoying the main floor plus access to the fully fenced backyard — plenty of space to play, explore, and burn energy safely. The two never have to share space unless everyone is comfortable. I do have a resident calico and a German Shorthaired Pointer, both of whom are friendly and social, so I do ask that visiting pets are comfortable around other animals of their kind. I always offer a free meet-and-greet before booking so we can make sure everyone — pets and people — feels good about the stay before any commitment is made. My home is puppy-proofed and high-energy-dog-ready, and I have 24/7 SimpliSafe security monitoring for added peace of mind. You can expect regular photos and updates throughout every stay because you shouldn't have to wonder how your pet is doing. When caring for pets in your home, I follow your instructions exactly. Your routines, your rules — meal times, crate preferences, favorite toys, walking routes — I stick to all of it. I respect your home as if it were my own, always clean up after your dog outside, and scoop litter boxes daily. Your pet's comfort and your peace of mind are the whole point.

“Great peace of mind leaving my two dogs with Samantha when a family emergency mandated I leave town suddenly. She was quick to respond and and very flexible with pick-up days/times, which I really appreciated. When I picked my pups up, they were happy and calm from all the playtime they got in Samantha's large, shady backyard. Will definitely book again with Samantha in the future!”

“Our dog loves going to Emily & Patrick's! He started wagging his tail the moment we got there this last time. It makes vacation so relaxing to know he is so happy and well cared for at their place.”

About: Hello! My name is Skylar and I am a recent college grad who has been in Pittsburgh about 2 years. I have over 70 5-star ratings on Wag, which is a similar app to Rover. Back home in Ohio I have a sweet Mini Schnauzer who is 11 years old. He is blind and diabetic, so I have lots of experience taking care of older pups with medical needs. I also have a 7 year old Australian Shepard who has LOTS of energy and is always bouncing off the walls. She loves to play and herd her brother. Two new additions to the fam are 2 year old bernadoodles-lots of dog in the house! I miss my sweet pups, which is why I love to use Wag and Rover :) I absolutely adore any dog I come across and would love to get to know you and your doggo! I have a bit of an odd schedule where over the winter I work M-F completely remote and in the spring-fall I work Th-M half remote and half in person at North Park with Tuesday and Wednesday as my “weekends.” There is some variability to this schedule, but for the most part it is as described. I live with my boyfriend in a three level townhouse that has a large yard and is on a safe, quiet street. When fury friends visit us they are allowed on the furniture and we make sure to take them out on walks at least 4 times a day. Typically this looks like right when we wake up, during lunch, after dinner, and right before bed. When I stay at a pup’s house, I make sure to leave it cleaner than I found it!
“Maura was kind, communicative, and took really great care of our dog, Finn. She sent updates and photos which was much appreciated, and we could tell Finn felt right at home cuddling on the couch. We’d definitely have Maura watch him again!”

“Angeline was great we got pictures every day and most important Chelsea was happy We had left her at a daycare/kennel previously and she quit eating and it took her almost 2 weeks to get back to normal. We are planning on using Angeline again if her schedule is open in April”

“Chang was extremely flexible and accommodating. We had numerous delays when traveling home. Chang offered to drop Oliver off which I really appreciated after a long day of travel. I also appreciated the daily check ins while away.”

“Our dogs really loved it. They were not as happy to see us as they usually are when we pick them up from a kennel. From that we assumed they like being at Amy's very much. Amy was very good about keeping us informed about our dogs activities. We received numerous text with photos.”

“Coralee is our go to sitter. She always takes good care of our little lady. We always get lots of pictures and updates which we appreciate very much. We have a few more boardings with her this summer and know that our dog is in good hands with her and her family.”

Millvale pet parents share their Rover experiences
At pick up, Ralphie and Seymour were reluctant to leave Erica so it was obvious she took very good care of them. Throughout their stay, I received regular photos and updates and all communications were smooth. I’m sure Ralphie and Seymour would welcome the chance to stay with Erica again.

As always, Riley is so great to our Dexter. Dexter was excited to spend time with Snowy last week and I’m so glad that he gets to have friend time. Riley keeps Dexter active with many walks for which he enjoys. My time away from Dexter is stress free knowing that he is in good hands with Riley and Snowy.

Sam was the best with Kobe. We are from NC and we were in town for a family event and graduation. We couldn’t find anyone in NC to care for Kobe so we decided to look in Pittsburgh and came across and Sam and we are so glad we did. She cared for Kobe and sent us pictures. He even made a new friend, we would definitely book with Sam again.

Nicole was absolutely amazing! My cat, Azúcar, is very shy, and this was her first experience staying with a cat sitter, so I really wasn't sure how she would behave. Despite being a very difficult kitty at times, Nicole was incredibly patient with her and did everything she could to make sure Azúcar was comfortable and well cared for. Nicole took the time to understand Azúcar's personality and respected her boundaries while still making every effort to help her feel safe and secure. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing that Azúcar was in such caring and capable hands. I truly appreciate Nicole's kindness, patience, and dedication, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate cat sitter!

Eronda was such a delight! From the first moment we met her we enjoyed her spirit and energy. I knew we had made the right choice for our little Paya. She was brave to take on a 2 1/2 month old puppy, even if it was just for a couple of days, and we were so grateful to have found her. She took good care of her, sent us pictures, and even got her a little pup cup, and stroller walks. It’s easy to see that she truly loves dogs and will take the very best care of them as if her own!

Audrey was the perfect caregiver for Rufus. I needed to find someone relatively quickly, and Audrey was available and made sure we could squeeze in a meet and greet so Rufus and I would feel comfortable. Rufus is almost 13 and has some health issues requiring meds. He is often reluctant to take the meds and sometimes to eat enough, but Audrey was successful in making sure he got what he needed. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Audrey any time!!!
Eira had such a great time with Ana! Before the boarding, she explained everything we needed to prepare, which made things super easy. During the stay, she sent us daily updates and lots of photos, so we always knew Eira was doing well. She took really great care of her and gave us so much peace of mind while we were traveling. You can tell she’s very caring, responsible, and detail-oriented. Highly recommend her!

Kassandra is the sweetest person we have ever left our dog with. She was very punctual and picked Leo up and dropped him off at the agreed upon time. Leo needed meds and extra care due to his multiple medical problems but Kassandra took care of him very well. Leo was very happy with Kassandra as I could see when she was leaving after dropping him off and Leo didn’t want her to leave. Kassandra gave us daily updates and additional updates as needed so the communication was excellent. I cannot thank her enough for taking such good care of Leo!
