About: I brought our two cats, Chili and Lok-Lok, all the way from China, but I grew up with dogs in my family and love both. I’ve taken care of my family’s and friends’ dogs and I heard about this app so I thought it might be fun to give it a try. Whenever I get called on to dog-sit for my friend here in Pittsburgh I like to go to the dog parks near the South Side river or jog along with them, rain or snow, and socialize with other dogs. Looking forward to meeting yours! I’m a PhD student at the University of Pittsburgh so summer and winter breaks are relatively free, and usually I’m only “working” 2-3 half days per week. I have to do a lot of reading and thinking so getting out of the house is a good way to take a break and process. I will be open to taking care of your pet as needed and happy to coordinate a schedule for walks/boarding at my house with you. My partner and I are trustworthy, active, and organized, and we genuinely care about making your dog feel safe and loved while you're away from home. 🐾 I live in an apartment with my spouse who has grown up all around dogs as pets since he was a kid so we both love dogs but don’t have one of our own currently. Your pet is allowed on our sofa and enjoy the area of a one bedroom. If I am at your home, I will aim to make your pet feel as comfortable and stress free as possible while the owner is way by keeping a normal routine in their own home environment. I will carefully follow your instructions and communication is very important to me, so I can provide regular updates , photos and check-in to help the owner feel reassured. As someone with a medical background I am very attentive to details and safety.
About: Greetings. I've had pets most of my life and recently have taken care of many dogs during COVID on a long and short term basis. The longest stay I had was 2 months while the owner went to India. I recently moved to Pittsburgh (Mt Washington) from the Netherlands so I'm happy to have a pet to 🐶 hang out with while I'm learning the area. I work full time, however it's remote from home and I set my own break schedule. So I'll have plenty of spare time to walk, groom and play with the 🐕 I'm in a condo that allows pets and am on the ground floor so it's easy to take multiple breaks for a walk or run. Medicine wise, I have given pills and insulin injections to animals I have watched and not got scratched.
