“Maple loved her stay! She and Luna became best friends, and I know they tired each other out! Lucas did a great job sending pics every day and letting me know how things were going. Would definitely book again!”

“This was Winston’s second stay with Rebecca and he had a fabulous time! I got lots of updates and photos, and he looked happy and well cared for! We’ll certainly book with Rebecca again!”

“So grateful to have booked with Mary and her family for the holidays. Faith made herself right at home and got the best of care. Mary was very attentive to Faith's quirks and needs; I was never concerned over how our dog was doing and knew she was in good hands.”
“Gina took good care of our 1yr old puppy - took her on lots of walks, fun outings to breweries, and play times for our energetic girl. Gina was very easy to work with for us as well. She was flexible with drop-off and pick-up times, and went out of her way to coordinate a pick up time when we left some of Lilah's stuff behind.”

“Riley is so great with our Dexter! She provides great feedback and pictures while we are away. I love the relationship that her dog, Snowy and Dexter have developed. I feel at ease knowing Dexter is in such great care while we are away.”

“Patrick and Emily were fabulous! Zeke loved it there. They provided pics and updates and took very good care of our puppy while we were away! Highly recommended”

“Great experience boarding my dog for a long weekend, and would definitely book again! Appreciated the photo updates and flexibility with pickup/dropoff. I know my dog was well cared for and had a great time.”

“Gillian took great care of our pup while he stayed at her house! She was very communicative and provided detailed daily updates. We would definitely book with her again!”

“Sophie was very good with our doggies when we were on vacation. She sent us photos everyday, and paid attention to our specific requests regarding feeding, walking and treats. We'll definitely use her again in the future.”

“Willa had a wonderful time staying with Megan, her family, and their dog. She always takes a little while to settle in and Megan and her family were patient and kind, letting her approach at her own pace. By the end of her stay, she was romping around, playing, and totally comfortable. Megan communicated clearly and sent us photos to help us miss Willa a little less. We’re very glad to have found Megan’s family to sit for Willa!!”

About: I’m from LA, where I worked for a dog hiking service where we started each morning with a group hike, came back home for daycare, and boarded dogs overnight. I love all dogs, big + small, and know how important it is for them not just to be well taken care of, but happy! Now it’s just me and my dog (Micho) in Pittsburgh exploring the trails around the city, and we would love to bring your pup along! As a graduate student, I have a flexible schedule + take multiple walks a day, short hikes a couple times a week, and longer day trips on the weekends. Because I only take one dog at a time, my time will be completely devoted to your dog for one-on-one play, walks, snuggling, and everything in between.
“This is the second time we have booked with Audrey! And she is phenomenal! She sent daily photos and treated Winston like her own. I loved to see photos of Winston and Blush playing together! Super excited for their next play date! Audrey will be a go to sitter from now on!”

“Felt so happy knowing my pups were being loved on and having lots of safe fun in the sun! Thank you to LJ and her husband for making the rover process so easy. We look forward to rebooking with them in the future!”

“Kristina was amazing with Lincoln! He was very nervous and shy at first but she did amazing with him. She sent updates and pictures over the weekend so we could stay updated with how he was doing.”

“Love Victoria! She was very attentive to Henry and how he was doing, and she sent consistent updates to me about what he was up to. Our pup Henry loved playing with her dogs and having a yard to romp in. Will definitely go back to her whenever she’s available.”
“Excellent experience! Boarded a 5 year old Siberian Husky for 9 days and the service was flawless. Lindsay has the family atmosphere and accommodations to support any and all breeds! We will definitely use Lindsay in the future. A kennel is a prison(23 to 1 lockdown); give your baby to Lindsay!”

“My dog loves Adam and he takes such good care of her for every stay. He always makes sure she gets plenty of exercise and is great about adapting to her needs. He’s easy to communicate with. Would use his services again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Verona
Omg! Natasha saved us when our sitter canceled with 2 days notice on a week long booking for a dog, puppy, and cat. She responded immediately after I reached out, came over the same day to meet us and even helped me find a number to contact Rover for a full refund of the other sitter. Natasha and her family took such good care of our fur babies. She sent pics every day and gave updates constantly.we even got a puppy photo shoot from her!!! Not only that, but I feel like I met a kindred spirit meeting her. She is such a sweet loving person & I’m so glad things didn’t work out with the first booking! We will absolutely be using her for future trips and plan on telling everyone about her! I could never thank her enough for helping us out on such short notice and being such an amazing sitter. 💗

Truly our dogs are our fur children and leaving them with anyone causes hesitation and Rafael understood that concern. Rafael and his family were absolutely amazing with Giotto. Photographs and updates were sent. The response time for any questions I had was immediate. The transition home was almost painless - it was almost like Giotto had found a second home. I will be using him again for both short- and long-term visits.

I feel so fortunate to have found Tyler to care for my very active and rambunctious 9- month old golden retriever. Tyler is very dog savvy and understood the challenges he had. He walked my dog several times a day meeting new people and dogs. Just the kind of socialization a young dog needs. I loved the daily updates and pictures Tyler sent. My dog seemed to be having such a good time, I doubt he missed me at all.

Kiah is fantastic! She sent frequent updates and pictures and I felt such peace of mind knowing that my dog was loved and having the best time with Kiah and her pets. She did a great job handling my dog’s allergies and reactivity and I would absolutely book with her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
