Pet care experience

Feline Great withPurrsonalized care

I have been living with cats since the 1990's. One of the first lessons that I learned is that each cat is unique. To balance their uniqueness, cats are incredibly communicative! Your cat will let me know with it's body language, when and how it wants to be approached. Where it loves to be petted, when it wants to eat, what toys are it's favorite and what type of surfaces, it loves to lounge on. I love studying animal behavior, whether it's handling animals as a docent at the zoo, re-watching every episode of My Cat From Hell or studying the works of great animal psychologists such as Dr Doddman. I am always looking for ways to improve how I can interact with your cat. But most importantly, I want this to be a vacation for your cat too. I want them to feel safe and enjoy the play treats and cuddles that are there whenever they ask.

Kathryn was awesome with my cat Miso. She sent picture and videos regularly so I could see how he was doing. Miso seemed to be very comfortable staying with her for a long weekend.

I’d give Kathryn 10 stars if I could. She took excellent care of my three cats and sent me regular updates, pictures, videos. She put all of us at ease for my travel, and my cats were calm and happy when I got home. ❤️

Kathryn , thank you! I am so appreciative of the efforts you made to locate our hiding Mr Gibbs, and attempts at engaging him out from his “not so un- obvious hideout”! Yes, he does leave “clues” around the house as to his 👻presence when opening doors and drawers. I am glad you detected “nose prints” signaling an appetite. 🤣. Your communication at each visit was so appreciated . We felt safe and secure knowing you were watching and caring for him!

Kathryn always provides an safe, considerate, and fun environment for Autumn with lots of playtime and entertainment. She is also logistically very easy to work with, and provides frequent photos and videos. Would 100% recommend

Kathryn was everything we could’ve asked for and more! We got many pictures, videos, and updates everyday of our little guy, giving us peace of mind that he was safe and sound. It seemed like Otter was on a little vacation! Her extensive knowledge on cats reflected in her care and she taught us so many new things we are going to start doing to care for our boy. Kathryn was amazing and I would trust her with any pet!

Kathryn was great with my two cats! They seemed to really take to her. She gave them special attention and was able to administer the one cat's medicine. I would definitely have her sit my cats again and would highly recommend her to anyone.

I work mostly from home. Although I do have client meetings on site, I am home the majority of time. I will be able to quickly respond to any of your cat's needs. Of course, if they want to help me work, they are welcome to be in my office with me to shase balled up paper or shred documents to their heart's content.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house

Non-smoking household
Has no pets

Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 2-4 hours

Safety, trust & environment

The cats will have access to the first floor. Eventually my upstairs office as well. As the upstairs office is not yet cat proofed, I will work downstairs when I have a cat visitor. Although they will have a large quantity of places to "hide', I know these places and pretend not to see them. Every cat needs a place to him/herself. After a cat has left and before a new cat will come, the entire areas where the cat has access will be disinfected with Bactrokill. This will prevent transference of any unknown illnesses that a previous cat may have had. Of course this includes that toys that the cats will enjoy during their minimum twice daily exercise sessions.
