“Colleen looked after our dog Mocha twice, and each time was absolutely wonderful! Right from the meet and greet, Colleen's warm and caring nature put both Mocha and us at ease. Mocha took an instant liking to her, which made us feel really comfortable leaving our furry family member in her care. Colleen's communication was spot-on, always keeping us updated with messages and pictures throughout the day. It was such a relief to know that Mocha was in good hands and enjoying her time with Colleen. We're so grateful to have found Colleen through Rover and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable doggy day care.”

“This was Luna Bella's first time in daycare at a person's house, and we were nervous about how she would get along with another family and puppies. Not because she's a problem pup, rather she's just unaccustomed to homes that we don't stay in with her. But she took to Shamvrit and Alima like red on roses! They made sure to get to know Luna, and make her feel like one of their own. They also sent us many photos and updates throughout the day which put our anxious hearts at ease. The experience was so positive for all of us that we are going to try an overnight stay with them next. Thank you!”

“Daria and her family treated our girl like one of our own and it made my wife and I extremely happy to know that she has a dependable and reliable caretaker. Our dog was a rescue and this was her first time getting care from someone else , so it was super scary and stressful for us. Daria was sure to send pictures throughout the day and be communicative about plans for care. We will definitely be using her again. Thank you so much for loving Cali !”

About: We've used Rover many times while traveling, and now are happy to host as well. We've had dogs for the last 20 years, and before that, grew up with family dogs and cats. We view our pets as a part of the family. When your dog is staying with us, they will have daily walks and access to our enclosed yard for late night potties. If your dog likes to swim, they can also go for a swim in our pool in the summer. We allow dogs to roam and relax where they are comfortable to. Dogs are allowed on furniture and beds here. Both my husband works from home while I keep a hybrid schedule, and therefore we are home most of the time. Your dog will always have a human and dog companion while staying with us. My husband works from home, while I keep a hybrid schedule, which makes it easy for us to care for your pet 24/7. We live in a flat walkable neighborhood with sidewalks and street lights. We take our own dog on frequent walks, and occasionally to the dog run (like Baldwin or Newhall) or on longer hikes (like Lime Ridge). Our backyard is fenced, and so is our pool. We have a lush grass patch for pets to potty on. We have some stairs (no more than 3), but in general our home is one level. We have mostly wood floors with some carpet. Dogs are allowed on furniture and at the foot of beds here.

“Miranda took on our dog for daycare who is shy around new people and takes awhile to adjust to new situations. I was hesitant at first but her feedback and care for our dog is working out great. I would recommend Miranda to anyone looking for someone to care for their dog.”

About: I am a woman passionate about the care and well-being of both people and animals. In my native country, Colombia, I worked as a nurse for several years, gaining experience in humane treatment, medical care and service with empathy. I have always felt a deep love for domestic pets, especially dogs and cats, and I have dedicated part of my time to taking care of them and understanding their needs. I currently live in the United States, where I am embarking on a new personal and professional path. I am in the process of developing a small business related to pet care, combining my vocation of service with my love for animals. In addition, I am studying English to better integrate into my environment, expand my opportunities and continue to grow as a person and professional. I consider myself a committed, responsible and compassionate person, with the firm conviction that care begins with small gestures, both with human beings and with our animal companions. Taking care of a pet would be naturally integrated into my daily routine, since I have the willingness and time to attend to their basic and emotional needs. In the mornings, I could spend time feeding her, making sure she has fresh water and taking her for a walk if it's a dog, or spend a few minutes playing if it's a cat or other pet. During the day, even if I have other responsibilities, I would organize myself to take short breaks that allow interaction and monitoring of your well-being. In the afternoons and evenings, you would allocate time for your exercise, game or training, as needed, and perform a quick cleaning of your designated space or area. On weekends, you could spend more time on outdoor activities, visits to the vet if necessary, baths or deep cleaning of your surroundings. I consider that the bond with a pet also brings emotional benefits, so taking care of it would not be a burden, but part of a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Pet care in my house: When I take care of pets in my home, I have the space and resources to offer them a comfortable and safe experience. I would start by making sure that the environment is suitable for each type of pet. If it is a dog, he would organize his walks and exercise times according to his energy needs. If it's a cat or a small pet, I would make sure it has enough space to move, toys to entertain itself and a quiet area to rest. During the day, he would plan meals at their established times, keep his area clean and check that his hygiene needs (such as cat litter box or rodent cage cleaning) are up to date. Interactions with pets would be regular, making sure to play, socialize and provide care according to their personality and needs. In addition, if the pet requires medication or special care, I would adapt my routine to include these additional care. Pet care in a client's home: When I take care of pets in a client's home, my focus would be to make sure to follow the owner's instructions to the letter to maintain the routine and well-being of the pet. Before starting, I would do a home assessment to know the space, care products and any specific needs of the pet. This would also help me adapt quickly and be as discreet and respectful as possible in your home. In the case of dogs, I would follow their meal and walk schedules, and I would also make sure to interact with them according to their habits and preferences. For cats or other pets, it would also provide activities to keep them stimulated and in a relaxed atmosphere. In the same way, I would take care of the cleaning, making sure to keep the client's home as I found it. In addition, he would maintain open communication with the owner, informing them about the state of the pet, any important details or concerns.

Bay Point dog parents share their Rover experiences
This was Sydney’s first time going to daycare through Rover, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Patrik and Grisham was so sweet, welcoming, and attentive, right from the start I felt like Sydney was in great hands. They sent me updates and photos throughout the day, which totally put my mind at ease (especially because I’m a total helicopter dog mom). Sydney is my little shadow and can be picky about new environments, but she did so well here. That says a lot about the energy and care she was surrounded by. The dogs she was with were playful and friendly, and the host made sure everyone got along. It was clear that Sydney felt safe, happy, and comfortable. I truly appreciate how communicative and kind the host was, I’ll definitely be booking again. If you’re looking for someone who will care for your pup like their own, this is the one! :)
