“We love going to Jenny’s! She is always so great with our dogs especially with our Senior Great Dane who starting to decline and comes with its own challenges. Thank you for being so kind and patient. We appreciate you! Happy Holidays!”
“Our Cavaliers loved staying with Amy. Her home was accommodating, and they seemed very comfortable with the family and her dogs. My dogs immediately made themselves at home and I'm sure would eagerly return!”
“Dee had a WONDERFUL time! Lajetta has a beautiful home environment, and our pup felt comfortable there immediately on our first meeting. Lajetta sent many photos, and plenty of assurance Dee was safe and having a nice time. She even came home smelling better than we dropped her off!”

“Kristi was great. She has a nice fenced yard and extended our stay due to a flight delay. She sent photos of our dog daily, and our dog seemed happy there with the other dogs.”

“Moira was awesome! She took such great care of Rufus, sent a lot of pictures every day and filled me in on how he was while I was away! She went above and beyond with the meet and greet, having Rufus explore the place before going there to stay. She took him on walks and made sure to have water available and a foldable bowl for any moment he needed to drink. She was thoughtful throughout every part! I highly recommend her and couldn’t be happier with my Rover experience. :)”

“Larissa was the perfect person to take care of my dog. She sent me updates and photos throughout the entire time. I felt assured that my dog Mac was in good hands and at no point was worried. I’d happily leave my pup with Larissa again!”

“Absolutely fantastic! Our girl Luna had first class treatment with Dana and Mark. They send photos and videos aplenty, and provide a great sense of security to your furry family member.”

“This is Daisy's fourth or fifth stay with Paul and Arnel - every time she is spoiled & treated as one of their own! It is such a comfort to know how loved on she is when she visits them.”

“Debbie, Spoiled our Golden retriever -Chloe. Chloe immediately felt at home with Debbie and her dog Sammy. We got daily update’s and picture’s . Debbie’s house has a great fenced back yard so the dogs can run and play. She has dog beds throughout the house and cool house on hot summer days for the dogs. Highly recommend Debbie and will continue to rebook with her in the future.”

“Shadie sent messages and photos during Zoa's stay, and we appreciated the updates. Our dog came home happy, and exhausted from playing. We'll definitely use Shadie again.”

“I’m so glad we hired Jenny to watch our golden retriever and Rhodesian Ridgeback while we were out of town for 5 days! She sent an update every day with pictures and was so nice and accommodating. My dogs looked very comfortable and like they were having a blast at “puppy dog camp” as I was calling it. I was very nervous to leave them with someone because we always have family watch them, but this time we all went on a trip together. I would definitely hire Jenny if the need arises again. My dogs came home safe, tired, and happy.”

“Such an amazing person! Our fur baby was in amazing hands! She updated us and wasn’t annoyed when I texted her all day! We will definitely be using her again! Thank you Hannah!”

“The only reason I would not want to give her the best rating would be because I want her all to myself!!! I could not have wished for or dreamed of them getting the unbelievably wonderful care that they received. Going far beyond the call of duty is an understatement not to mentioned she was like finding a miracle in my time of need. I can't thank her enough.”

“Juan Daniel was immediately kind, attentive, and extremely understanding when I had to extend my stay last minute. He asked all the right questions when he met Penny and she loved him instantly.”

“Mayorie was very attentive, and easy to communicate with while Ash was in her care. I got lots of photos, and videos. My dog settled home quickly and has been at ease. To me this is a sign that she had an easy time while at sleepaway camp. Thank you!”

“Christine was awesome in caring for our two elderly dogs at her home!! From the moment we connected by phone, I sensed her warm, caring spirit toward animals. She sent regular updates and photos while we were away. I offer Christine the highest level of recommendation and we definitely plan on utilizing her again in the future.”

Brianna was absolutely amazing! We reached out with a last-minute request to board Pinot for the weekend, and she was incredibly responsive and accommodating from the start. She sent us pictures and updates throughout his stay, which made us feel completely at ease knowing he was happy and having a great time. One of the best parts was that Pinot got to spend the weekend playing with other dogs! He’s a very active, social dog, so having plenty of playtime and friends around was perfect for him. He came home happy and sleepy! We’re so grateful Brianna was able to take such great care of him on short notice and would absolutely book with her again. Highly recommend!

Deanna is wonderful. She took care of both our older cats for almost a month while we were on honeymoon and moving into a new home, and patiently took care of our oldest kitty when she became ill. The cats seemed to really love her, and when we both came down with flu she let us extend the cat's stay. Highly recommend her and will use her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
