“Nikki was our best rover booking yet!!! She came over three times this week for lunchtime walks. She was super attentive and even gave us some recommendations on how to keep him entertained. Nikki is very knowledgeable and caring, especially with little puppies. Would highly recommend booking her.”

“Ashton is absolutely wonderful! She is definitely a dog person - seen by all of the pictures she sends and the great summary of how things went. My dog Mabel is high energy and working on training - Ashton is knowledgeable about keeping things consistent for Mabel and asked great questions to make sure she had all information to care for Mabel. Will definitely continue to book!”

About: I grew up with cats but have rescued many cats and dogs over the years. I've rescued kittens, adults, and senior animals alike. I have loved many pets through old age, administer medicine, and loved them beyond their last breath. I currently have 3 cats and 1 dog. I am a teacher who is off in the summer time. My schedule is flexible through August. During the school year, I am available on the weekends. I have rescued many animals, helping them get acclimated to their new setting. I rescued a half-starved kitten, keeping her in a separate room for months, giving her special care until she thrived. I have had senior pets and cared for a cat and dog through cancer, administering medicine. I have rescued a dog applying the 3-3-3 rule. I currently have a special needs cat who needs medicine twice a day.
“Shaina was a great help while I was away on vacation. I had peace of mind knowing she was there to handle daily walks. She kept me updated daily and I know Munch looked forward to his walks with her too! Thanks Shaina!”

About: Hi! My name is Amanda. I have two dogs named Bailey and Henry. They are 8 and 10 years old. I have a lot of experience with caring for dogs. I always watch my friends dogs when they go out of town. I have experience with giving medications such as pills or eardrops. I am comfortable around dogs of all sizes and all breeds. I work from home so I am able to do drop-in visits at any point of the day or nights during the week or weekend. I have two large dogs of my own, so I am very comfortable with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. I will care for your dog by letting them outside if you have a fenced in yard, walking them, playing with them if they enjoy ball or tug, giving any medication’s needed, and filling their food and water.
“Jake has recently started doing daily walks with my girl Flower (and was her sitter once before), and he is awesome. Always on time, super flexible with changes, and Flower absolutely loves him!”
“Tiffany is on time and does a great job with Coco. She gets her exercise for sure and is tired and content when she gets back. Thank you Tiffany.”

About: I don’t have much experience with dogs if I’m being honest. The only experience I had with a dog was with a baby pitbull and that was for about a year. That being said, despite my lack of experience I am willing to learn. My love for animals in general is why I am open to learning. I will still provide the same love, care and affection for a dog as I would a cat. My daily and weekly routine is very open for pet care. I am currently on maternity leave so I have lots of availability throughout my days. I treat them like their family and not strangers or “just for the money type of thing”. If the client has special requests as far as how they would want their pet taken care of, I would follow those requests and update the clients along the way.
About: I’ve grown up around animals my entire life and have experience caring for pets of all ages, breeds, and personalities. I’m patient, gentle, and attentive, and I always make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable while in my care. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, or needs a little extra patience, I’ll treat them with the same care and affection I would my own. I work part-time LPN. My flexible schedule allows me to provide reliable pet care while keeping your pet’s routine consistent. I treat every pet with the same love, patience, and care I would my own. I always follow your pet’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. I’ll provide fresh food and water, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of love and attention. I also keep your home clean, respect your space, and send regular photo and text updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.
“I cannot say enough about Gabriella. She is incredibly professional and has such amazing, positive energy. We have two beagles, and from the very first meet and great, they felt completely comfortable and excited around her. Which says a lot! It is truly clear that she knows how to connect with dogs. Every walk last week seems to have gone smooth, reliable, and based by the pictures I received, full of happy tail wags. I feel totally at ease knowing my pups are in such great hands. Highly recommended.”

About: I’ve grown up with pets my entire life. My family has cared for many breeds of dogs including a Rottweiler, Great Dane, German Shepherd, Yorkie, and Chihuahua. I am the first person my friends and family come to when their pets need care. I have several years of experience walking, feeding, and giving pets lots of love and attention. I am currently a college student and will have lots of time to spend time with your pet. I am available in the afternoon/night and all day on the weekends. While caring for your pet, my time and attention will be completely devoted to their individual needs. While providing services at your home, my focus and priority will be on your pet as if they were my own.
“Did such an amazing job with my puppy! She was very helpful and gave some great tips and knowledge about dogs ◡̈ looking forward to being able to have her watch my dog again!”

About: I’ve worked in a dog daycare/boarding facility for two years, & I’ve worked in a kennel for one year. I’ve cared for a range of dog ages, from puppies to senior dogs. The knowledge I’ve gained from my past experience has helped me to learn how to care for dogs, feeding tricks, training techniques, how to stop minor issues a dog may experience, and overall how to love and care for each dog because everyone is different! What may work for one dog won’t work for another and that’s okay! I’ve always treated any dog under my care with the same love & nurturing I give to my old dog. I work from home on Mondays and Tuesdays and don’t work on weekends! This gives me the time to tend to a dog whether they need to be played with, need potty breaks or a walk! I have the flexibility to be available starting at anytime & can either drop a dog off, have a dog picked up starting at 7pm. I would treat a clients dog like they are my own. Making sure the dog is feed, played with & given attention. My own dog goes on 2-3 walks per day, fed twice a day & given treats, the same treatment would be provided to a clients dog, and I can always adjust to what the client would like me to do!
About: To put it simply, caring for animals is my life's passion; I would love to take care of your pet like they're my own. I am a highly experienced career pet care professional, currently working at Kitty Co Cat Rescue, with prior experience working at Fido and Friends. I provide the highest level of compassionate care, with a deep understanding of animal behavior and the importance of providing patience and love while caring for animals. I have hands-on experience supporting daily pet care, kennel sanitation, and medication routines. I am trained in administering oral medications, transdermal medications (for cats only), fluids, temperature checks, vaccines, oxygen support, and breathing treatments. About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have always had a special love for them. Growing up with dogs has taught me how to understand their different personalities, needs, and routines. I’m patient, caring, and dependable, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. Whether it’s going for walks, playing, giving belly rubs, or making sure they feel safe and comfortable, I truly enjoy spending time with dogs of all ages and sizes. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, and I’m committed to providing reliable, loving care while you’re away. My goal is to make every dog feel happy, loved, and well cared for. I’m available Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 7 PM, and weekends from 11 AM to 8 PM for walks, visits, and loving pet care. I create a safe, trusted, and welcoming environment where dogs feel comfortable, loved, and cared for with patience, attention, and respect like they are family.
About: I grew up with both cats and dogs in a single parent household, so I did a lot of the work to take care of them and train them. Most recently, I helped raise a golden retriever, who is now one hundred and ten pounds of pure love. I find myself gravitating towards animals more than people at times and no matter where I am, if there is an animal around, we always seem to find our way to one another. I do currently work full-time. However, I am remote some days and off on weekends, so my schedule does allow for flexibility at this time. I would follow the guidance and rules set in place by the homeowner. One example could be ensuring a dog is leashed at all times while on a walk. Another could be sticking to feeding the animals. Only the food provided by the owner and understanding any dietary restrictions or allergies the animal may have.

About: I first started dog sitting when I was just 9 years old. It was the first job I ever had and it has continued to be a love of mine throughout my life. I come from a family that treats their pets like family and have plenty of love to offer your pet. My mom often dogsat when I was growing up, so I'm terrific with animals that aren't already familiar with me. I am also an active runner and have plenty of energy to keep up with even the most enthusiastic pet and would enjoy taking your beloved pet on lengthy runs and walks if to their liking. When it comes to reliability I have several years of customer service background and have a solid resume to back me up. I have a flexible full-time job. Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday I have the most availability. The rest of the week I am available only in the mornings before 9am and then again any time after 5pm. I can also do quick/flexible lunch break work as well around 12pm. I have my own car and am available to travel and take trips to surrounding parks or for long walks. I am also open to staying at a residence for the day Sun-Tues.

Grace was great with our little boy! Very responsive & detailed in her walks with Berni. He seemed to enjoy his walks very much, & he was clearly cared for. We would book Grace again, & recommend her to anyone looking for pet care. She was even flexible when our plans changed last minute, & we are thankful for that.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
