About: Hello!! I've had my own cat since 2017 and am an avid stray feeder (and occasional trapper). I also volunteer at Kitty Queen Cat Rescue at least 2 days a week, usually doing morning cat care (but sometimes you can find me there during open hours). I feed all of the cats, replace water, scoop litter boxes, clean up whatever I might find, and give medication when needed. I encounter all different types of personalities and customize my approach to each one. I've been volunteering there since October 2025. I've also been pet sitting personally to friends since I was a teenager. I thoroughly enjoy taking care of animals and building trust with them, especially the shy ones. Truly nothing makes me happier than scooping 20 litter boxes with cats all around me. I also regularly take care of my friend's dog who is a spunky and reactive, but very sweet, terrier mix. I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to my own cat, so I will understand if you need consistent pictures or a FaceTime call to calm your nerves! I once drove home in a blizzard because I couldn't see my cat on my cameras (she was completely fine). I'm also working on getting my Fear Free Pet Sitter Certification as I believe in preventing as much fear, anxiety, and stress as possible in all pets. Furthermore, I don't believe in assigning spite or malice to any animals. They are all innocent creatures to me. <3 I'm currently only working part-time so I have a lot of time to take care of your pets!! I can do mornings, afternoons, evenings, etc. One of the things I pride myself on is not only taking care of your pet like I would my own, but also your home. I'm a neat freak so I promise to leave it better than I found it! My least favorite part of taking a trip is coming home knowing my apartment would be a mess due to my cat sitter just not really caring. Not with me!

About: I have a bit too much time on my hands and love animals. I've cared for dogs and cats for many years as a volunteer. I'm a complete pacifist and have too much love in my heart not to share it with more animals! I work part time in retail so my schedule is very variable. What's great about that is that I have availability all day some days! However, i don't have weekends off. I will treat your place with respect and cater to your pets' needs. About: I am a big dog lover and I have grown up around all sorts of animals. I love to hike and will take your dog with me! I also love cuddles, playing fetch, and anything else that your dog likes. I have experience with small and big dogs, as well as other animals. I am happy to meet all of your dogs needs! I have a house with all wood floors, so I happily take puppies that need a little help getting potty trained. I also recently fenced my yard! My pup is an escape artist so I have a dog gate that prevents dogs from getting out of my front door when I open it. If your dog is a puller on leash, I am very used to that! :) I am a big believer in positive training--I am happy to take puppies/dogs that are sensitive/need some extra help warming up. I think that fear-based/negative reinforcement training (things like yelling at dogs/pinning them to the ground--things that trainers still unfortunately do) are very bad and hurtful for dogs. You can assured that your dog will only receive encouragement and pets and treats at my house :) Also, one of my dogs has a disease that requires a daily pill and monthly shot, so I am very familiar with injections and pills. (I take medicine very seriously as I know the consequences can be dire of missing a dose). A little about me: I grew up in Montana and recently moved to Storrs upon graduation with my BA; I am looking to earn a little additional income and spend some time with dogs. Richard walked our two dogs for the first time recently and the experience exceeded my expectations. Both are extra large dogs--80 and 130 pounds. Not easy customers (both react to deer, dogs, etc.), but he managed them very capably. He was very knowledgeable, timely, and attuned to the dogs needs, as well as agreeable to work with. Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
