About: I've always enjoyed being around animals, and over the years I've had the chance to care for both dogs and cats for family. I've watched my girlfriend's family's three senior cats (now 15, 14, and 21 years old) several times while they've been out of town, making sure they're fed, have fresh water, and keeping their litter boxes clean. Caring for a 21-year-old cat has taught me how important patience and consistency are with senior pets. I've also cared for my brothers' dogs—a 5-year-old Siberian Husky and a 7-year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix—sometimes for several days at a time. That includes feeding, walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, and giving them plenty of attention. I'm comfortable with high-energy dogs as well as older cats and always treat every pet like they're my own. I'm currently a full-time student finishing my last semester of college while working part time as a digital forensics intern. During the summer, my internship is Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and I'm available for pet care anytime after my internship each day. The highlight for us, though, were the daily photos; seeing those happy faces was the perfect reassurance while we were away. When we returned from our two-week cruise, we were greeted by happy cats rather than 'grumpy' ones who felt neglected!
