About: Hi, I'm Courtney! I am a lifelong animal lover and experienced pet owner/handler for over 25 years. I started my first pet care business when I was 10! As a teenager, I volunteered with Animal Friends as a dog walker, cat handler, and dog bather for the annual New Years Eve Rescue. Since then, I have adopted and cared for many dogs and cats over the years. For most of my life, I have lived in multi-dog and multi-cat households. I truly understand what it takes to care for our furry friends. I know the importance of quality playtime, proper socializing, and exercise. I have experience raising and training puppies as well as caring for senior dogs. I am especially good at leash training and "walking manners", which I believe are so important to ensure our pets get the exercise they need! I am familiar with different dog personalities, including handling reactive dogs and managing interactions between multiple dogs. Currently, I am dog mom to Chidi and Munch, both pit mixes. My other experience includes: - Dog handler at Pittsburgh Paws Pet Resort, Sewickley PA; supervising up to 70+ dogs in the main yard during peak days; feeding, administering medication, and cleaning kennels for boarding dogs; bathing and grooming; and caring for boarding cats - General laborer at Rag & Frass Sustainable Farm, Jeffersonville, Georgia; daily care tasks for 20+ chickens, including feeding, watering, gathering and cleaning eggs, and ensuring birds are securely inside coops every night; supervise farm dogs and cats, including sequestering according to their needs, training to farm boundaries, monitoring interactions with new or visiting dogs as well as larger farm animals including a cow and her calf - Volunteer at Hog Heaven Rescue Farm, Cochranton, PA: assisted in building a shelter for horses in the field, socialized with a variety of rescued farm animals, including horses, goats, and pigs I have a flexible schedule. I can arrange my availability around your pet's needs, whether that's a drop-in visit, walk, or pet-sitting. For overnight stays, I can provide their regular evening and morning routines while you are away. Walks: the bread-and-butter of care and exercise for our furry friends! I can provide walks of different lengths (20 minutes minimum) tailored to the needs of your pet. If your pet is not leash trained, we can work on that too! Drop-in visits: I can stop by for a potty break, mealtime or playtime. In-house pet sitting: I can stay overnight with your pet on weeknights or weekends. About: I have taken care of animals my whole life, always having a cat, dog, and some sort of exotic animal in my house! I am currently a cat and rabbit mom and I have dog walked since I was 16 years old. I have done overnight care for pets staying in other people’s homes, and I would be happy to help board if I can! I work full time as a SPED teacher so the evenings & weekends are ideal for. I get off work at 4pm so I can do 4:30 later as a reasonable time M-F. I also work at a bar on the weekends but I can take off from there as long as I have 2 weeks notice. I live in an apartment building so I do not let any animals out of my apartment unless they are crated or leashed so they do not get lost in the building.

About: I have owned and taken care of dogs of all sizes and ages. I have also managed dogs with severe anxiety and certain health issues. I am a college student so until May I am limited to weekends. After May, I will be available workdays and weekends during the day and at night. I have confident skills in understanding dog and cat language from past experiences. I am also great at handling and crating dogs at their own comfort level.
