“Marie was such a sweetheart. She has a big heart for dogs and took very good care of mine. My baby had plenty of room to run in the backyard and she sent lots of pictures. Will use her again.”

About: I have always had dogs in my life, as well as help with rescues. Providing love, comfort, and safety are top priorities to me when caring for my own dogs and yours. I can also care for cats, horses, donkeys, fish, bearded dragon, etc for feeding. I have added experience with cats & these other pets over past 5 years. I am a registered nurse and I am a teacher with the month of June and July off, as well as available most days after 3 pm and evenings and weekends. For boarding in my home, your pet will receive the same loving care my own dogs do! For drop in visits I will come to let them out for bathroom breaks, walk, or to your yard. Let them use bathroom, play, and eat. I will provide them with much safety and love. During summer, I am available for mornings and evenings to take care of your pet in your home or all day if in my home while your on vacation. During school year I am available afternoons, evening, and weekends. I will also take pictures or video of your pet and send to you if you desire.
About: I am almost done with my CVA, which has given me hands-on experience with animal care and a strong understanding of animal behavior, basic health needs, and how to recognize when a pet may be stressed, uncomfortable, or need extra attention. I’m very attentive to routines like feeding schedules, medications, potty breaks, exercise, and any specific care instructions you have for your pet. I also volunteered at a horse rescue for 6 years, which has helped me become even more patient and comfortable working with animals that all have different personalities and needs. Whether your pet is a playful puppy who needs consistency and extra energy or an older pet who needs a gentler approach, I’m confident in providing calm, dependable care and making sure they feel comfortable while you’re away! Pet care is already a big part of my everyday routine. I currently attend CVA school Monday through Thursday from 8–12, and because it’s a veterinary program, I’m able to bring new animals with me every day if that’s something an owner is comfortable with. This allows me to spend even more time with your pet and keep them with me throughout the day. Outside of school, I’m available the rest of the day and can realistically spend most, if not all, of my time with your pet. I also care for my own animals every day, including my dogs, cat, and reptiles—a snake, bearded dragon, turtle, and leopard gecko—so feeding, walking, playtime, bathing, cleaning cages, and keeping their spaces clean are all part of my normal routine. My entire day is basically centered around animals between school and caring for my own pets, so pet sitting fits very naturally into my life. I care for pets with a lot of attention, and fun! I usually feed my pets at the same time every day and follow a schedule, but I keep it flexible so it works for each pet’s needs. I give dry food and simple medications like NexGard but, I also have experience handling special diets and other medications. Playtime happens whenever pets seem bored or want to go outside. I have lots of toys, treats, and fun activities inside, and I enjoy running with dogs outside or taking them on car rides. I also do some basic training for fun, though I’m not a professional trainer. I keep spaces clean and comfortable, cages and tanks are cleaned regularly, puppy pads are replaced, and everything is wiped down with disinfectant as needed. Pets have their own quiet areas, toys, and treats to feel calm and safe. I’m very observant of their behavior, so I can notice when something feels off. Pets aren’t left alone for long, except when I’m at school for a few hours. I’m used to managing multiple pets at once by keeping a close eye on everyone and giving each animal their own space when needed. My home is very clean, and I constantly sweep, mop, and vacuum. Overall, I make sure pets are happy, safe, and comfortable, and I treat them as part of my family giving lots of love, attention, and care every day.
“Very nice people. I can tell my dog had a great time staying with them.I love how they update me too everyday about my dog. I will definitely book them again”

“Labren, did a great job taking care of my dog. She was open to a meet & greet with my dog. They bonded and that was important to me. I will rebook with Labren shortly as I appreciate her service and how she took care of my Soni. She provided updates with either photos or videos. Soni got a bath during her stay!! Thank you, Labren for your service! 🙂”

“Eyran was great for watching our Ava for a few days. He sent pictures and videos. And let us know how she was doing. Our Ava gets very nervous the first day she is left. We are with her 24/7. So we need someone that can also give her the same attention she is used to. But after the first day she calmed right down and really bonded with Eyran. So we are very thankful”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Auburndale
We needed a new Sitter for our sassy girl but we are super picky! Krystal checked all of the boxes for us and Willow was right at home with her family. The home is clean and bright and the fenced yard is a plus for our frisbee-loving girl. Willow came home very happy and we will be 100% be booking again. Thank you so much!!

Sheryl was amazing!!! I would definitely feel confident leaving my precious Oreo with her again. I was so nervous about leaving Oreo with anyone. Sheryl called me and immediately made me feel comfortable. I dropped Oreo off and felt that I made the right decision. Sheryl sent me updates every day with pictures. When I picked Oreo up, he was happy. I would definitely ask Sheryl to watch my Oreo again if I go out of town. She was wonderful ❤️
Second time we have used Madison to watch our baby and I just can’t say enough great things about her. Madison was supposed to come to our house for drop in visits a few times a day to take care of our girls. We had a complete devastation happen and lost one of our dogs a week before we were supposed to go on vacation. I reached out to Madison less than a week before she was supposed to watch our dogs to see what we could do and she kindly accepted our girl into her home. Daisy got to go and stay with Madison and her husband while we were out of town so that she wouldn’t be alone! Madison sent so many pictures and so many updates to reassure us that Daisy is having a great time. She enjoyed laying in the back yard, looking for squirrels, and I know she got lots of love while we were gone. I will always use Madison to care for our pup!

I cannot say enough nice things about Jeanna. She is fantastic! I would recommend her to everyone. She took care of all my animals and went above and beyond. My senior dog leg injury flared up while I was gone and she went to the vets to pick up meds for her. She was very prompt and responsive. I will be reaching out to Jeanna the next time I need a pet sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
