Elizabeth was great with my dog! Kept me updated on how my girl was and very patient with her as my dog was a little nervous at first when she got there for her walk. I received a picture of my girl and even an update on my cat! I will definitely rebook for her to come see my dog for a walk!

Karla has been a Godsend! One of my dogs is very difficult and she has him so well behaved. I don't knows what we would've done if we hadn't found her. It would've required renting a car and taking the doggies with us. Karla the best thing that's happened for us. 5 out of 5 for sure!

About: Use code ANAG68736 to get $20 off your first booking! As a dog mom of two, I understand how important it is to find someone you can fully trust with your pet. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, loved, and completely at home while you’re away. Dogs in my care are treated like family not like they’re at a kennel. They are free to relax around the house, cuddle, play, and be part of our daily routine. I do not crate dogs unless specifically requested by the owner, and guest dogs sleep in our room alongside our own dogs so they feel comfortable, secure, and never alone. I work from home part-time, which allows me to be present, attentive, and flexible throughout the day. Dogs are rarely left alone for more than a couple of hours and receive constant supervision, regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, affection, and personalized care based on their individual needs and personalities. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. We have a fully fenced yard for secure outdoor time, and my two friendly, well-socialized dogs can always be separated if your pup prefers their own space. I follow all owner instructions closely, maintain a calm and clean environment, and provide regular photo/video updates so you can feel completely at ease while your dog is with us. I truly care for every dog as if they were my own, and I want both you and your pet to feel comfortable, confident, and worry free from the moment you book with me. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work from home part-time, which allows me to be present, attentive, and flexible throughout the day. Dogs in my care receive consistent supervision, regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of affection. Your pet will never be left unattended for long periods. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced yard for secure outdoor time and two friendly dogs who are well-socialized; they can always be separated if your pet prefers solo space. I follow all owner instructions closely, use leashes on walks, and maintain a calm, clean environment. Whether in my home or yours, I provide attentive, responsible care with constant supervision.

Shannon was absolutely amazing with Beau while I was away! 🐾💕 She treated him as if he were her own and gave me complete peace of mind the entire time. She was attentive, dependable, and went above and beyond in every way. Shannon sent so many sweet pictures and videos, kept me updated, and even surprised Beau with a squeaky toy 🥹. It was so clear how genuinely she cares for animals, and Beau looked so happy, comfortable, and loved in her care. I truly could not have asked for a better experience and would wholeheartedly trust her again. I highly recommend Shannon to anyone looking for compassionate, trustworthy, and reliable pet care. Thank you again for taking such incredible care of my sweet boy! 🥰

About: I’ve had a dog since I was a little kid. I also have watched dogs for my friends. My two oldest daughters head off to college this August. My youngest daughter, she will be 12 in September, loves all animals, but especially dogs. I am looking for a way to have more dogs in our house for my daughter to play with. We have one dog, Marley. However, my mom lives next door and she has two dogs, Daisy and Zoe. They visit often. But when we are watching other dogs, they will not visit. Our goal is to provide a fun, safe environment for your pup while you are away. I am able to watch your fury family member any weekend during the school year or June/July over the summer. I am not available: July 6-9 After July 30, I am back at school. I am available to watch your fury family member Friday (after 3:30) until Sunday evening (anytime.) I have a pool for them to swim in and and fully fenced in area around my house. I have about 40 acres we can take leashed walks on if you would like. We do have a few cows and a horse on the extended acreage. My lab/beagle mix loves to play with dogs. She plays well with both small and large dogs.

I am retired now for three years and do volunteer work one day a week on Wednesdays. I do own a small dog, Rudy. He is vibrant and energetic. I have a roomy condo and walk my dog four times a day. We play once a day with balls and he keeps me fit.

Ruth does an excellent job caring for my puppies! She is prompt in response to any communication about their visits or changes in my work schedule, adjusts her schedule when possible to take them out earlier or later, and is easy to communicate with. She’s been overly helpful today especially when I forgot to put the lock box on my door on the way out and had a full schedule at work, she even stopped by to get the key where otherwise my puppies would have been stuck with no potty or exercise breaks for hours. These two are full of energy so I know they appreciated the extra play time they got together today also! We are very grateful for Ruth and her excellent dog walking services.

  • 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
