About: I’ve taken care of animals for more than 7 years now. Whether it is my own dog or my sister’s two dogs when she is away on business. I’m currently working as a veterinary assistant at a emergency clinic. I always have the flexibility to dedicate time to caring for your furry family members. I enjoy helping pet owners who need support and look forward to meeting new pets with their unique personalities along the way! I treat every pet like they’re my own—with love, patience, and attention to detail. Whether I’m visiting a client’s home or walking a dog in the neighborhood, I focus on creating a safe and calm environment. I follow all instructions given by the pet parent, keep water bowls filled, ensure leashes and harnesses are secure, and always keep a close eye on the pet’s behavior. I’m happy to provide updates and photos so owners feel confident while they’re away.

We WILL be using him much more in the future, not just for our long trips but also for our day trips too. Thank you again Curtis for caring for Happy and Leia like they were your own. See you again soon!”

About: Hello, my name is Ashley, I am 27 years old and I really like animals.I have taken care of animals from my neighbors and relatives. I have taken care of animals from my neighbors and relatives. I have also rescued animals from the street, fed them, bathed them and cared for them to later find them a better home with another family. It would be a pleasure for me to be able to look after your beloved animals and give them good care as well as a good afternoon of exercise. I currently work part-time and have plenty of time to play with their pets. I have time available from 5 in the morning until 11 at night. Your pet will be safe with me and I will meet all your expectations. I am a very attentive person and follow the rules that you established for the best care of your pet. I am very patient and fun so your pets will never get bored with me.
About: I’ve cared for dogs since I was 12 and have been pet and house sitting for the last 10 years. I love taking energetic pups on long walks or playing fetch in a secure yard, and I’m equally comfortable creating cozy spaces for senior dogs. I have two dogs of my own (one large, one medium), and I’m experienced with administering medications—even to picky ones who need a creative touch. I’ve volunteered at animal shelters off and on since 2020 and have worked with reactive and anxious dogs who may require extra time to warm up to strangers. I love spending time with both dogs and cats, and making them feel safe, happy, and loved. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I’m a full‑time freelancer with a very flexible schedule. I’m available every day between 8 AM and 11 PM, and I can easily adjust my day to meet your pet’s needs—whether that’s a morning walk, a midday check‑in, or an evening visit. My open schedule also allows me to accommodate last‑minute bookings, so you can count on me even when plans change unexpectedly. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I stick to the routines your cats and dogs already know so they feel secure and comfortable. I follow your feeding, walking, play, and litter box instructions, keep their spaces clean, and make sure your home stays tidy and secure. I’m attentive to each pet’s personality—whether that’s a shy cat, an energetic dog, or anything in between—and I work to make every visit calm, safe, and stress‑free.
About: I’m all about fun, friendly energy on every walk. Your pup gets to explore, play, and enjoy a safe, joyful journey every time we hit the pavement or grass! I have tons of pet care experience: I have two senior dogs of my own, aged 13 & 15, who I’ve had since they were old enough to be without their mommas; I’ve worked as a pet specialist at a boarding facility for dogs and cats; and I pet every dog I meet—with permission, of course. Like everyone, I love dogs, and would love to give yours some company on a play visit or walk! I work from home, and have a flexible schedule. I prefer to have a two-day notice, so I can make sure I’m available when you need me, but depending on the day, I could be available same-day too. Just contact me and see! I do not care for anyone’s pets but my own in my home. But in a client’s home, I care for pets by giving them what they need—I think it really depends on the desire of the client and the pets! Case by case basis. Belly and chin scratches are always a given though!

“First time using Rover. My dogs and I were very comfortable with Bradley. He sent pictures, treated the dogs as if they were his own, and went above and beyond. Excellent experience!”

About: I have owned great danes, german shepards, a malinois, beagles, and a lab. As well as a few kitty cats! Size and energy is not an issue for me. I have volunteer experience at Five Acres Animal Shelter and the SPCA, working with cats and dogs. I also had my own pet sitting business in the past for over a year. My family has also spent some time fostering dogs, which has been a lot of great experience with different types of dogs. Needless to say, I have been around dogs and cats all of my life, and I feel extremely confident with understanding the way I should approach new animals and respect their needs. Our pets are our family, and should always be treated with the utmost care, attention, and love. I am currently working part time at a gym, working 2-3 days a week. I am always available Thursdays and Sundays, the rest of my weeks vary. I usually receive my work schedule a week in advance. I unfortunately cannot accept client’s pets in my own home, but I am completely open to overnight pet care in client’s homes. As well as check ins as many times necessary during the day.
“Karla is amazing!!! We were nervous leaving our puppy for the first time and she put us right at ease. She is just so sweet and our Penelope loves her. She sent pictures and updates all of the time we were gone. So excited to have found her!!!”

Madison did an incredible job sitting with my pup Evie who is extremely anxious. Madison was so kind, patient and loving that gave us peace of mind that Evie was in good hands while we spent the day at the theme park. She’s super friendly and an excellent communicator sending frequent updates and photos. I would absolutely recommend Madison to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate pet sitter. Thank you so much!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Auburndale walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Auburndale maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Auburndale choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
