Availability

I work full time but am able to come home on lunch and let dogs out, my husband also is very involved with the dogs when he’s home and I’m not. I spend nearly all the rest of my time at home with the dogs. We live on a 1/2 acre in a semi-rural area so the dogs are out with us frequently. The yard is fenced with a 4ft tall field fence. Dogs are never left outside unattended and potty breaks are typically every 3-4 hours. With my usually evening work schedule and my husbands work the dogs are rarely alone for more than 2 hours at a time. If dog food is not provided I will feed what I have for my own dogs (Purina Pro Plan)

Safety, trust & environment

I keep all guest dogs in the house kenneled or in a separate room when I’m not home so no one is ever at risk of a fight. All my dogs are dog friendly and they range in age from 3 year to 9 years and are all pretty playful since we lead a rather active lifestyle. If your dog would prefer alone time, that’s no problem either. I’m totally comfortable rotating groups of dogs if need be. I also know not all dogs get along with each other and I’m happy to let your dog(s) play with just one or a few of my dogs who’s personalities I think would mesh the best.

Information Sarah B. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if any special needs or behaviors your pet needs accommodated. I’m willing to work with pretty much any temperament of dog, just know that I do keep dogs crated or separate when I’m not home for the safety of all the dogs.

A typical day

The first thing I do when I get up in the morning is let out the dogs and feed them. Once they finish breakfast we go out again for supervised playtime until everyone is good and worn out. Then we go back inside for a puppy nap. Early to mid afternoon I let the dogs out to play and potty again for awhile, then around 6-7 pm the dogs have dinner and go out for another potty break before bed between 9-10 pm.

Pet care experience

My Experience I am a professional dog trainer and have had hands on experience with hundreds of dogs in the last few years. I’ve grown up with animals and cared for them my whole life. Ever since I was young I’ve been involved in pet care, learning from my mom in training and grooming, then continuing on further than I ever anticipated. I previously owned a dog rescue where I became even better at reading dog body language, introducing new dogs to each other, crate training, and socializing feral/fearful and abused or neglected dogs. If needed I am also comfortable administering oral or injectable medications. I’ve had some basic training on wound care, injectable medications, and drawing blood from vets and vet techs and feel confident in most any situation. How I Ensure Safety Whatever your pet needs, I’m happy to provide it. I also have my own independent Pet Care Insurance policy to ensure maximum safety for you, your pet, and myself in case of any emergencies or accidents. I also get my yard professionally cleaned weekly by the Pawsitive Scooper so I can ensure a healthy and clean experience for them both inside and out. My Policies I send photos and videos regularly of your pups so you can rest easy knowing they’re being well looked after while you’re away! All dogs MUST be crate trained as they will need to be crated periodically when I’m working/letting out other dogs that might not get along with them. This also ensures they are unable to chew/eat anything hazardous to them. I do ask that if you have an especially strong or boisterous dog (or one with a very high prey drive) that it be under 60 lbs for the comfort and safety of myself and my poultry.

I know I’m leaving my dog Charlie in great care with Sarah and Mike. She always sends pictures and messages about Charlie, which I appreciate so much! Charlie is already booked for the next stay!!

Sarah was great. This was my first time using the app and trusting Rosie to a stranger. Sarah sent pictures and kept me updated. She was very patient with me when my tire went flat on my way home and I was late.
