“Lisa and her son Eli did a wonderful job taking care of our Koda. It was his first time staying away from home since we got him, and it seemed like he had a great vacay . Will totally feel comfortable leaving him there the next time we are in need of a fur baby sitter.”

“I was very nervous for Spiky since I had never left him before with anyone, but Joanne made me feel better because she was sending pictures and messages with updates about Spiky. We appreciate Joanne for giving our baby all the attention and love he needed while we were gone. I 200% recommend her and I recommend the Rover app as well.”

“Melina and her family are so loving and kind to our baby London. Having a good reliable sitter really pushes my husband and I to go away more often. We look forward to our next trip and London looks forward to her time spent with Melina and her family.”

About: I have experience in dog training, pet boarding, house sitting, and dog walking. Friends and family have relied on me for years to deliver a reliable and honest pet service, and exceed their high expectations. I live a humble lifestyle with my husband Julian, and we share a profound passion for animals. I currently work from home, so I'm able to dedicate 24 hour care to any pet. Both my area and home are incredibly safe, as I have high-end security systems installed, and live in a quiet and safe, pet friendly neighborhood. I live near walking trails to take your pet on long walks as well. You can take your vacation or any time away and rest assured your pet is in great hands. I truly care for your animals as I would my own. I currently work from home with a very flexible schedule, and I'm able to take breaks often, at any time needed. I'm able to accommodate any care schedule you have set for your dog or cat, including medication, bathroom breaks, or activities. I have a massive fenced in yard, with high-end security cameras. I always supervise any time they're let outside. I live in a very quiet neighborhood with low car traffic. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats of my own to keep your pet company. My own pets are on a daily schedule so I'm able to accommodate and adhere to whatever schedule or timing you have for your pets normal daily care. I'm able to crate your dog if need be as well. My husband Julian often helps out with pet care so there's plenty of helping hands.

About: Hi! I’m a retired dog lover with over 30 years of experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. Since I’m home full-time, your pet will receive lots of attention, companionship, care, and supervision throughout the day. I love spending time with dogs, taking them on walks, keeping them comfortable, and making sure they feel safe and loved while you’re away. I also have a dog of my own, so caring for pets has always been part of my everyday life. I speak both English and Spanish, and I understand how important it is for pet parents to feel at ease and know their dog is in caring hands. I treat every dog like family and provide a calm, loving, and trustworthy environment. Special skills include: 30+ years of dog care experience Comfortable with small and large dogs Patient with senior dogs and shy pets Daily walks and companionship Bilingual communication (English & Spanish) Full-time availability and flexible schedule Calm, loving, family-style care for every pet I’m retired and home full-time, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for your dog throughout the day. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I truly enjoy providing companionship, walks, attention, and a calm environment for pets while their owners are away. Your dog will be cared for in a safe, calm, and loving home environment. I pay close attention to each pet’s routine, comfort, and needs to help them feel secure and relaxed. I have over 30 years of experience caring for dogs and understand the importance of patience, supervision, regular walks, and making pets feel like family while in my care.

“Bradley was so amazing! I couldn’t be happier with his care and attentions to my dogs. I received daily even twice a day updates and pictures. He was very knowledgeable about dos and don’ts with dogs, so that made me feel even more comfortable. I would definitely use his service again.”

About: I’ve always had a variety of pets since childhood. I currently have a dog and a turtle. My kids and I enjoy taking our dog on long walks and to our local park. I am employed full time working from home. It leaves me a lot of time to care for pets and frequent walks/ potty breaks in the yard. I have a very friendly dog that loves company and 2 kids who love meeting new animals. I also have plenty of outdoor space in my fenced in back yard for frequent potty breaks and exercise.
About: I am almost done with my CVA, which has given me hands-on experience with animal care and a strong understanding of animal behavior, basic health needs, and how to recognize when a pet may be stressed, uncomfortable, or need extra attention. I’m very attentive to routines like feeding schedules, medications, potty breaks, exercise, and any specific care instructions you have for your pet. I also volunteered at a horse rescue for 6 years, which has helped me become even more patient and comfortable working with animals that all have different personalities and needs. Whether your pet is a playful puppy who needs consistency and extra energy or an older pet who needs a gentler approach, I’m confident in providing calm, dependable care and making sure they feel comfortable while you’re away! Pet care is already a big part of my everyday routine. I currently attend CVA school Monday through Thursday from 8–12, and because it’s a veterinary program, I’m able to bring new animals with me every day if that’s something an owner is comfortable with. This allows me to spend even more time with your pet and keep them with me throughout the day. Outside of school, I’m available the rest of the day and can realistically spend most, if not all, of my time with your pet. I also care for my own animals every day, including my dogs, cat, and reptiles—a snake, bearded dragon, turtle, and leopard gecko—so feeding, walking, playtime, bathing, cleaning cages, and keeping their spaces clean are all part of my normal routine. My entire day is basically centered around animals between school and caring for my own pets, so pet sitting fits very naturally into my life. I care for pets with a lot of attention, and fun! I usually feed my pets at the same time every day and follow a schedule, but I keep it flexible so it works for each pet’s needs. I give dry food and simple medications like NexGard but, I also have experience handling special diets and other medications. Playtime happens whenever pets seem bored or want to go outside. I have lots of toys, treats, and fun activities inside, and I enjoy running with dogs outside or taking them on car rides. I also do some basic training for fun, though I’m not a professional trainer. I keep spaces clean and comfortable, cages and tanks are cleaned regularly, puppy pads are replaced, and everything is wiped down with disinfectant as needed. Pets have their own quiet areas, toys, and treats to feel calm and safe. I’m very observant of their behavior, so I can notice when something feels off. Pets aren’t left alone for long, except when I’m at school for a few hours. I’m used to managing multiple pets at once by keeping a close eye on everyone and giving each animal their own space when needed. My home is very clean, and I constantly sweep, mop, and vacuum. Overall, I make sure pets are happy, safe, and comfortable, and I treat them as part of my family giving lots of love, attention, and care every day.
“Holli took amazing care of my dogs! (With very little notice) She sent me photos, videos, and updates while I was gone so my mind was at ease being away from them. Thank you Holli for taking such great care of them!”

“I am very happy about leaving my dog with Patricia. Lola was very happy and well cared for. I will choose Patricia again next time I have to leave Lola. I was updated every day with photos or videos of Lola.”

“Ashley did an amazing job with our Bella! Ashley kept us informed of how Bella was doing and included tons of cute pics daily. Our Bella seemed to really warm up to her, Jake, and even Goose. I was worried about Bella interacting with Goose, but Goose was super chill and well mannered. Bella snuggled up to Ashley, sat on her lap, played with her, and even slept in bed with her! Ashley took care of her like one of her own. It was a comfort while we were gone to know that Bella was well taken care of and, most of all, happy. Bella came home to us happy and not stressed like she has with other sitters. I hope to use Ashley as a sitter again. Thanks, Ashley!”

“I 100% recommend Ana. I will definitely book again with her. She kept us informed of how Giddy was doing and sent us pictures and videos of him. He was very loved on his boarding with Ana. I could see he had a great time with his 2 new furry friends which loved to play with him. They are a very welcoming family. If you want a place where they love and take good care of your pet as much as you, you should book with Ana. ❤️”

“Thank you so much for caring my fur baby. I'm always nervous when oreo has to be removed from my care due to oreo being a senior dog. You said don't worry, oreo was in good hands, he surley was. I appreciate your attentiveness and welcoming us into your home. Thank you for your prompt responses and pictures of oreo stay. I'm so glad we had a chance to onboard with you, thank you for making oreo feel right at home with you. I can't say thank you enough 🙏.. We will see you soon Annabelle.”

“I would give 10 stars if it were possible. I was so thankful to be able to find Angie last minute to care for our dog Koa. It was Koa’s first time ever with a sitter, and we were nervous because it was 9 days, but Angie was welcoming during the meet and greet, and explained about how she would care for him. She also provided additional information about the other dogs she cared for during the time we would leave Koa with her. She sent pics almost every day to provide updates on how he was doing. We are so grateful for the amazing care that Koa received from Angie. He was a happy pup, which made us happy, too!”

“Libertad was such a nice lady. Responded daily with videos and pictures. Lucy and Ginger were treated like family. We were in the process of getting a new place and Libertad happily modified our reservation many times. She is a gem and a blessing. Your furry family will be treated the best.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Eagle Lake
I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for my cat. She boarded her for about five days and treated her like she was her own. I received consistent updates, which gave me so much peace of mind, and it was clear from the messages and care that my cat was genuinely loved on ❤️ not just watched. When I picked her up, she was calm, happy, and clearly well cared for. It’s such a relief to find someone you can trust with your fur baby, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
