“Lisa and her son Eli did a wonderful job taking care of our Koda. It was his first time staying away from home since we got him, and it seemed like he had a great vacay . Will totally feel comfortable leaving him there the next time we are in need of a fur baby sitter.”

About: I have always had dogs in my life, as well as help with rescues. Providing love, comfort, and safety are top priorities to me when caring for my own dogs and yours. I can also care for cats, horses, donkeys, fish, bearded dragon, etc for feeding. I have added experience with cats & these other pets over past 5 years. I am a registered nurse and I am a teacher with the month of June and July off, as well as available most days after 3 pm and evenings and weekends. For boarding in my home, your pet will receive the same loving care my own dogs do! For drop in visits I will come to let them out for bathroom breaks, walk, or to your yard. Let them use bathroom, play, and eat. I will provide them with much safety and love. During summer, I am available for mornings and evenings to take care of your pet in your home or all day if in my home while your on vacation. During school year I am available afternoons, evening, and weekends. I will also take pictures or video of your pet and send to you if you desire.
“Libertad was such a nice lady. Responded daily with videos and pictures. Lucy and Ginger were treated like family. We were in the process of getting a new place and Libertad happily modified our reservation many times. She is a gem and a blessing. Your furry family will be treated the best.”

“Chris was amazing! His services go far beyond expectations when it comes to overnight dog boarding. My dog was cared for as if he were Chris's very own. He followed all instructions perfectly, especially since my dog, Alex, has allergies. Alex is on a gluten-free diet, and it helped stabilize her stubborn gut. Chris kept me updated on Alex daily, and he ensured she was fed according. I will continue to use Chris for any upcoming boarding needs I have for Alex. I highly recommend Chris and his care! You can rest assure that your fur baby is in good hands. Thanks so much for caring for Alex at the last minute.”

“Patricia took great care of Chloe and send me pics and videos daily, she had a blast and looked happy and relaxed when I picked her up, couldn’t find a better dog sitter for my baby.”

About: I've had dogs all my life and currently I have a beautiful little dog who is my life. I like to take good care of them, give them healthy food and take them for walks. My experience with other dogs is beautiful. I have a job from 2 pm onwards, Monday through Friday. I could take care of and walk your dog every morning and have them sleep on the weekends. I would love to board with you and take them for walks in all the parks and areas. I have a fence in my yard and a beautiful little dog for company and a new family with your pet. I make healthy dog food and snacks and they will have special care.
“We are truly grateful to Daniela for taking great care of Pepper for the several days we were away. She regularly provided us with photos and updates. We highly recommend her to anyone who may be looking for a trustworthy and responsible dog boarder. 👍🙏🏼 - Rich and Lynn”

“Joanne took amazing care of my senior dog! She was extremely accommodating and sent plenty of updates and pictures. Highly highly recommend Joanne to love on your fur baby!”

“I 100% recommend Ana. I will definitely book again with her. She kept us informed of how Giddy was doing and sent us pictures and videos of him. He was very loved on his boarding with Ana. I could see he had a great time with his 2 new furry friends which loved to play with him. They are a very welcoming family. If you want a place where they love and take good care of your pet as much as you, you should book with Ana. ❤️”

“Danieris and Julian are a wonderful and kind couple. They welcomed my dog and communicated regularly about his stay and questions. I would absolutely use them again.”

About: I am almost done with my CVA, which has given me hands-on experience with animal care and a strong understanding of animal behavior, basic health needs, and how to recognize when a pet may be stressed, uncomfortable, or need extra attention. I’m very attentive to routines like feeding schedules, medications, potty breaks, exercise, and any specific care instructions you have for your pet. I also volunteered at a horse rescue for 6 years, which has helped me become even more patient and comfortable working with animals that all have different personalities and needs. Whether your pet is a playful puppy who needs consistency and extra energy or an older pet who needs a gentler approach, I’m confident in providing calm, dependable care and making sure they feel comfortable while you’re away! Pet care is already a big part of my everyday routine. I currently attend CVA school Monday through Thursday from 8–12, and because it’s a veterinary program, I’m able to bring new animals with me every day if that’s something an owner is comfortable with. This allows me to spend even more time with your pet and keep them with me throughout the day. Outside of school, I’m available the rest of the day and can realistically spend most, if not all, of my time with your pet. I also care for my own animals every day, including my dogs, cat, and reptiles—a snake, bearded dragon, turtle, and leopard gecko—so feeding, walking, playtime, bathing, cleaning cages, and keeping their spaces clean are all part of my normal routine. My entire day is basically centered around animals between school and caring for my own pets, so pet sitting fits very naturally into my life. I care for pets with a lot of attention, and fun! I usually feed my pets at the same time every day and follow a schedule, but I keep it flexible so it works for each pet’s needs. I give dry food and simple medications like NexGard but, I also have experience handling special diets and other medications. Playtime happens whenever pets seem bored or want to go outside. I have lots of toys, treats, and fun activities inside, and I enjoy running with dogs outside or taking them on car rides. I also do some basic training for fun, though I’m not a professional trainer. I keep spaces clean and comfortable, cages and tanks are cleaned regularly, puppy pads are replaced, and everything is wiped down with disinfectant as needed. Pets have their own quiet areas, toys, and treats to feel calm and safe. I’m very observant of their behavior, so I can notice when something feels off. Pets aren’t left alone for long, except when I’m at school for a few hours. I’m used to managing multiple pets at once by keeping a close eye on everyone and giving each animal their own space when needed. My home is very clean, and I constantly sweep, mop, and vacuum. Overall, I make sure pets are happy, safe, and comfortable, and I treat them as part of my family giving lots of love, attention, and care every day.
“Repeat booking - Eyran is great! And it's very clear that Bentley loves him too. He walks her multiple times every day, feeds her well and gives her her insulin with ease. We will definitely rebook with him.”

“Our pug puppy Mellow loves spend time with Miss Betty and Mama Pilar! This was our first experience with a dog sitter and can say with certainty that your pet will be well cared for, they just love dogs! Our pup comes home happy and can't wait to return for the next visit. Will be a repeat customer for sure!”

About: I’ve always had a variety of pets since childhood. I currently have a dog and a turtle. My kids and I enjoy taking our dog on long walks and to our local park. I am employed full time working from home. It leaves me a lot of time to care for pets and frequent walks/ potty breaks in the yard. I have a very friendly dog that loves company and 2 kids who love meeting new animals. I also have plenty of outdoor space in my fenced in back yard for frequent potty breaks and exercise.
“🐾 Just wanted to share my experience with Jenny. She is an absolute gem! Ziggy seemed so happy and well-cared for. The attention to detail was top-notch. About: I'm a lifelong pet lover offering personalized, attentive pet sitting tailored to your dog’s unique needs. With experience caring for dogs of all ages including seniors and those with special needs I provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment. Pets enjoy a large safe yard, pool time if they like to swim, and even a spacious bedroom if they prefer extra room to relax. Dogs are treated like family here, with full access to furniture and even the bed if that’s what they’re used to. I also provide multiple updates throughout the day, so you can feel confident and connected while you’re away. I work from home at a very flexible job so my dogs get multiple potty breaks throughout the day. In the afternoon if the weather is nice we enjoy a dip in the pool. At the end of the day, we like to lounge on the couch and watch our favorite shows. Our yard is fully fenced with two separate sections. One smaller yard and then a large yard. 4 foot chain link all around. As long as your pet is friendly, they will enjoy playmates of all sizes here at our home.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Winter Haven
Sarah was amazing with our baby. She took great care and was very patient with her. She kept us updated throughout her stay and informed us of everything in-between. My Roxie girl had a wonderful time with her and her family. Would highly recommend her to anyone looking and will definitely use her service again.

I cannot say enough nice things about Jeanna. She is fantastic! I would recommend her to everyone. She took care of all my animals and went above and beyond. My senior dog leg injury flared up while I was gone and she went to the vets to pick up meds for her. She was very prompt and responsive. I will be reaching out to Jeanna the next time I need a pet sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
