“We could not thank Daniela enough for taking care of our Pepper for just a couple of days. We will be on a longer trip and have already booked with Daniela to board our Pepper. We find her to be responsive and responsible. We highly recommend her. 🙏🏼🙏🏼”

“Martha took care of my Stella like if it was her own. This was my first time leaving Stella with someone and it was a great experience. Martha sent me.lots of pictures and videos. Martha and her family were very loving and caring. Stella enjoyed her stay. I highly reccomend Martha.”

“Arlen took excellent care of Remi. I had a busy weekend at a wedding out of state, and Arlen made sure I knew everything that was happening. He sent a ton of pictures. He was very flexible when our flight was canceled and we ended up being later than planned. We came home to a happy and healthy puppy dog.”

“Again Marti knocked it out of the park and was fabulous with Hershey! She kept me well informed in regards to how she was doing! We love Marti and so lucky to have her in our life!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Stacey. She is so so great! She keeps us in constant communication and sends us pictures and videos 😊. I love knowing that our pup is in the best hands and I don’t have to worry. I would recommend anyone to Stacey over and over again!! ❤️”

“Jill was amazing! This is the first time we use rover for our dog and she made the process seamless for us. She checks in throughout the day and send updates/pictures. We’ll definitely be coming to her for any future trips!”

“Booked our dog Ren with Stella for the first time over the long weekend and she was fantastic. She was easy to communicate with and we felt very comfortable and confident leaving our boy with her. Stella was great with Ren and you can tell she really enjoys animals, he was definitely content when we picked him. Will definitely use Stella again for any future trips. Thanks again Stella”

“We were on vacation for 2 and a half weeks- the longest we’ve been away from our dog Pippa. We left her with the best dog sitter Luciana. Her constant updates helped ease my anxiety about leaving our dog. She treated Pippa like her own- included her in car rides, park visits, puppuccino runs, and pet smart trips. She even got her a toy! I left instructions on Pippa’s routine- which she followed to a T. There is no price on having someone who loves and cares for my dog like their own. I am super grateful to have found her. Thank you Luciana, Juan, and Pippa’s new pal Pascal for giving our dog Pippa a home away from home. If you are reading this review because you have doubts, look no further— Luciana is a wonderful human being and a great pet sitter. Luciana’s dog Pascal is a good boy and gave my dog Pippa the best company! Pascal and Pippa did so well together. Pascal is well behaved and it is a testament to how great Luciana is as a pet owner and in turn a great pet sitter. I will definitely entrust my pup with her again! Thank you again for taking great care of our Pippa! ❤️”

“Annabelle was amazing! This was my dogs first boarding and I don’t know who had more anxiety, my dog or me. She took care of my fur baby like her own. She sent me plenty of updates and pictures which made me feel really good about trusting my dog with her. I have more trips planned and will be using her again. Thank you so much!! 😊”

“Hailey took care of our little Bo Jangles for us while on a week cruise to Western Caribbean and she is so sweet, caring, love for animals and treats them as her own. She sent us photos every 2 hrs and let us know how Bo was doing. Bo loved being with Hailey and the other doggies where with him he had a fun fun time. I highly recommend Hailey to you all. In the future when we want to get away on a trip we will for sure get back ahold of Hailey tot ake care of our Bo. We have a miniature male poodle that's 9 months old, very playful and a chewer. Hailey worked with Bo even while we were gone on our trip with commands so he did not loose what he learned before our cruise. Hailey has a lot of patience and so good with all pets. There her babies 😁. Hailey was reasonably priced and she helped us during Christmas week and we appreciate her so very much 😊. So pass her name on to friends and family you know who is looking for a wonderful pet sitter and you can really count on her too. Thank you! Jamie and Shelly Spencer family & Bo Jangles Bobo”

“Amanda thank you for your service. I appreciate your service and how often you update us on the status of Otto while on vacation. I strongly recommend you as a dog sitter and will be using you for future dog sitter. Thank you!”

“Bradley was a wonderful dog sitter. I received constant communication and pictures while Rocky stayed with him. I was comfortable with my choice from the first phone call. Definitely will use again”

“Patricia and her family took such good care of Batman, constant communication put me at ease knowing he was enjoying himself. Always looking for ways to communicate effectively and let me know when Batman wasn’t doing ok (eye reaction due to a previous condition), despite this they willingly catered to some of his special care needs and kept me updated. Highly recommended and wouldn’t hesitate using their services again.”

“Ingrid was amazing. She kept in close communication to ease my stress of leaving Louie somewhere new. She sent pictures during the stay. I will definitely book with Ingrid again as Louie seemed very well taken care of and happy with her and her pups.”

“Jack seems so happy! All that matters to us is that he was well taking care of and he certainly seems to have gotten all the love he could ask for! Barbara was great about sending updates with photos and videos which we appreciate so much!”

“Our dogs love going to Eric’s place! We used him in the past but then most recently for a quick weekend away and then a week long trip. Let me just say that Eric came through in a pinch! I accidentally booked the wrong dates for our week long trip and didn’t realize it until we were on our way to drop off the dogs. Eric responded immediately, he was incredibly understanding and made it work. I honestly don’t know what we would have done otherwise. He takes great care of our dogs, he loves on them, sends pics and updates. He’s a gem!”

“Annette and her husband were absolutely wonderful! Their home was clean, safe, and dog friendly. She’s very knowledgeable about animals and made Kala feel welcome immediately. Kala was more relaxed at drop off and pick up than we’ve ever experienced! We’re so grateful we found her and you can rest assured your baby is in good hands. Communications were also very fast and she sent so many great photos 🥰”

“OMG WE LOVE JAMIEEEEEE!!!!! Jamie and her family were amazing in every way!! Jamie is a true dog mom so right from the start you could feel that instant connection!!.. Joel and Kandice are Leia's favorite people/humans. They always go above and beyond taking care of our little fur baby/Queen. I strongly recommend them to anybody looking for a family that will care for their dog as if they were their own. We literally book our trips around their availability to make sure we know she is cared for in the best way possible while we are out adventuring.

Rebekah and Joshua had the best time at Tori’s home, with their new friends, especially Saffron. Joshua particularly loved meeting Saffron’s baby along with Diablo, the cat. Joshua’s mission is to make Diablo love him on his next visit. Our calico, Salma Hayek, wants to join them on the next stay with the given caveat she needs a quiet place of her own when she doesn’t want to socialize. I believe that is wholly doable. As long as your barkaroos are even slightly socialized, they will have a great and safe time with Tori and her family. It’s a kid friendly, dog friendly and cat friendly space with a fenced backyard and Tori is definitely great with dogs. They really loved her and their new friends. Amazingly, it was the first time that I didn’t receive a call about an animal emergency (to be fair, the previous care provider was not to blame for the situations but it’s always upsetting to be far away from home with sick animals requiring an ER visit.). We definitely are going back.

Amanda was very good with Kane. She sent updates daily via videos and photos. She respond quickly to my questions and concerns. Kane appeared happy in the care of Amanda and her family. I would most definitely use her again and highly recommend her to care for your pet.

Carlos has been the best sitter we’ve ever had! From our meet and greet, we felt complete peace leaving Thanos in his care. He communicated with us daily, sending messages and videos, and truly engaged with Thanos on such a great level. We were more than pleased with his services and would absolutely book with him again without hesitation.

Alejandro & Betsy were welcoming & knowledgeable about caring for our dogs & our Daisy, for 10 days. I was looking for someone who also believed in keeping her off the furniture & beds. They had a big backyard & another dog to socialize with, which was an opportunity for Daisy. I provided written instructions on what our commands we were using to train her, feeding & habits. She’s 9 months old & in “training”. She was a rescue & was only supposed to grow to 35#. Currently, she’s up to 55#. We feel she must be manageable in order for us to keep her. She’s so big & still has more time to just keep growing! She’s a good girl & Alejandro & Betsy took good care of our Daisy, til we returned!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
