She handles dogs of various temperaments with grace and knows when and how to step in to avoid negative interactions between dogs. Her Report Cards were thoughtful and the photos she took showed that my dogs were so happy and comfortable with her. We will definitely be booking with her again. Thank you for everything, Magnoly!”

About: Having grown up in a multi-pet household myself, I know first-hand the level of care and dedication that owning pets entails. I began petsitting when I was 12 years old, and have greatly enjoyed doing such in the years since. Friends, family, and neighbors have entrusted me on many occasions to take care of their pets. Aside from petsitting, I worked at a doggy daycare for nearly two years, where I built genuine and deeply meaningful bonds with all of the dogs in my care. I’ve worked with dogs of all shapes and sizes, temperaments, personalities, and energy levels. I have experience with training young puppies, including my own. I am very knowledgeable in reading animal body language and understanding animal behavior. I understand that every dog or cat is unique in their own way and that building trusting and meaningful relationships with animals take time and patience. With this, I try to meet every cat or dog where they are at and adjust my approach where necessary. For example, with shy or timid pets, I like to give them the space they need and work slowly to build trust and confidence to where they are fully comfortable in my presence. I am committed to making every visit a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. I’m currently working part-time at the moment, so I’ll have plenty of time to play and care with your pet(s). The routine for each visit will depend on your pets’ needs, personality, temperament, and energy level. I will send pictures and updates of how your pet is doing by text throughout the day. I’ll make sure your pets have an positive and enjoyable experience, get plenty of play time/exercise, enrichment, and attention. Your pets’ safety is of utmost importance, and I’ll do everything in my power to make sure the environment is safe at all times. This could include but not limited to making sure to close or lock doors behind me, gating off rooms that are off-limit, crating your pet at night or when I leave, keeping things your pet may get to out of reach or locked away, following medication or feeding schedules, taking dogs’ out more frequently or at given times throughout day, being respectful of any allergies you, your household, or pet(s) may have. This will depend on you and your pets’ needs. As always, I’ll send updates and pictures throughout the day.
“Rachel was great to work with! She came by for several drop in visits for our dog who really enjoyed it! She was easy to communicate with and prompt for each appointment. Would recommend working with her!”
“Catherine was great! She asked all the right questions to get relevant information to take care of Bagheera & Shanti. She was able to connect with both cats relatively quickly! My kitties were well taken care of. Will definitely book her again!”

About: I grew up having 3 dogs and caring for them. They have bad anxiety so I’m really good with comforting anxious dogs. Also if they have certain medications and timing. I currently have a senior dog so I understand the stress of making sure they get proper care. Since I’m a college student my summer is more open so I have an incredibly flexible schedule. I’m an early riser so I’m able to help in the mornings as well. The weekends are more tricky but I could make it work if needed. My own dogs do not do great with other pets due to their anxiety so I would not be able to bring pets back to my home. However, I am able to sit at a house and do over nights. I am comfortable going in to feed them or take them on walks as well.
About: Two decades means I’ve seen it all—and handled it with patience, expertise, and genuine love. I know the difference between a playful nip and anxiety, between a minor upset stomach and something that needs attention. I take time to learn your pet’s quirks, routines, and preferences. Does your dog need that specific toy before naptime? Does your cat only drink from a running faucet? I’ve got it covered. You’ll receive regular photo updates and detailed notes about meals, walks, playtime, and bathroom breaks. You’re never left wondering how your furry family member is doing. I can schedule around being available for animals who need reliable, attentive care. Whether it’s morning walks, midday check-ins, or overnight stays, I prioritize each pet’s routine and comfort. In your home, I maintain your pet’s established routine to minimize stress—feeding schedules, favorite nap spots, and playtime rituals stay consistent. I provide fresh water, engaging activities, and plenty of affection. For walks, I match your dog’s energy level and preferences. I keep your home secure and tidy, and send regular photo updates so you can see your pet thriving. Whether it’s administering medication, accommodating special diets, or simply offering companionship, I treat every pet with the individualized attention they deserve while respecting your home.

I am in between jobs/contract roles and I am looking to fill up my days and nights. I have a very flexible schedule and I am available with little advanced notice. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Andover. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
