We didn’t feel worried for a single moment during our vacation knowing she would be checking in and taking care of our fur-babies and home so well. Our sweetheart Lab Sophie is a rescue who was abused, and we have never left town without coming back to see her traumatized and shaking. Coming back from this trip though we walked through the door and she was just chilling in the living room smiling while all of our doogies watched “Dog Tv” that Melanie had put on for them. About: I have professional experience and training in various animal care roles, which has really helped me learn to work with all temperaments and needs. I was a lead animal tech for a dog hotel, which is where I was able to really fall in love with all breeds. I learned how to manage large play groups and keep all the fur babies happy, while watching dog’s behavior for signs leading to distress. I also worked in a veterinary hospital where I learned even more on keeping animals healthy and happy, as well as some grooming treatments. I volunteer at the Humane Society and Best Friends because I genuinely want to make all living things around me happier and make a difference where I can. I have been obsessed with all animals since I can remember, and have had the pleasure to experience and love so many different types and breeds. I would love to give your animals love!! My schedule is very open the next few weeks as I am preparing for upcoming trips. I have fairly open availability upon request. If needed, we can discuss me cleaning your space while you’re away as well. I would love to spend a lot of time with your fur baby! I am used to working with animals who may need a bit of reassurance or a bit more time to aclimate in a nervous environment. I have experience in shelter settings and a large history in health care, which makes me confident in deescalating situations and caregiving in general.
