About: Plase read my whole profile about my availability, dog size etc-60Ibs or less for boarding and doggy daycare! There is also a 5 year old child in the home. I am also only available for the East Bay. I don't come to San Francisco. I only offer walks from 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday. Drop in visits are more flexible, aslong as it's for a cat etc and doesn't need to be walked. Hi there... I've sat and walked dogs, for around 15+ years. I started while I was in school and carried on afterwards, as I loved it so much. I've had the same ongoing clients for that amount of time and have formed a strong bond with both the pets and owners. I am a very friendly outgoing person. I studied Marine Biology in school and I'm a qualified sports coach, mainly soccer focused. I have worked with all kinds of dog breeds and always stop to talk to any dog that passes by on the street. I love to cuddle with your babies infront of the TV and treat them as teddy bears in bed. I've also worked at a doggy daycare in San Francisco, for 3.5 years. Look forward to meeting you! Clients usually leave instrictions, if needed for their pet. ie: food routine...if they take medications etc. I have a flexible schedual, so I'd be in and out throughout the day. Your fur baby wouldn't be left for more than 3, at the most 4 hours while staying at my apartment. Their food and water bowl, will go in the kitchen. If you bring a bed, that will go in the main living room. We have a balcony with a sofa, where they can hang out too.

“Jennifer was lovely, attentive, and a great communicator. We just adopted our dog and he has little bursts of aggression and Jennifer was kind enough to come by before their first walk to test the waters. Everything turned out great and Jennifer sent updates and pictures throughout his walks. We will definitely work with her again.”

“Agnes is great! The meet and greet went really well and she asked good questions to be as prepared as possible. She wrote detailed notes for the rover cards and took many photos during every walk. She took the time to play with my pup and engage with with. I highly recommend Agnes!”

About: Dogs have always liked and trusted me, and since I was much younger I have always been the family friend that others have relied on for pet sitting. People often say that their dogs tolerate me despite never liking anyone, so give me a chance! I have experience with dogs of all ages and energy levels. I’m currently on summer break and looking for work. I like driving all over the place and finding new parks to explore with my own labradoodle. I go for walks almost every day, so I have plenty of availability. I might not keep my own dog on leash all the time because I trust her, but rest assured that yours will be on leash at all times when they are outside of my car. They will also have seatbelts. I will not take them back to my own house, even though it is a fenced in yard.

About: I have been a pet owner and caretaker of many different animals from small pets (hamsters, guinea pigs, and rabbits) to cats and dogs. My family kept fish when I was a small child, but I plunged headfirst into the world of freshwater fishkeeping in 2020 with my first personal betta fish named Prosciutto. Since then, I’ve cared for many different fish, aquatic snails, shrimp, crabs, and live aquatic plants! Currently, I have 4 fish tanks that provide flourishing ecosystems for all kinds of aquatic beings and a gray and white cat named Ash! I have sat for my neighbors, friends, and other folks that have found me through word of mouth. I would say that my loving personality, attention to detail, reliability, and diverse experience of taking care of all kinds of pets set me apart from other sitters. ***To be transparent, I can be anxious around reptiles, bugs, and arachnids. I do not have much experience taking care of them. :( I’m currently working very part-time and in the process of job searching. My schedule is very flexible. I am typically unavailable on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4:00–7:00pm. I will be unable to board any pets as I have a roommate. Whether I’m stopping by for a quick potty break or staying overnight, I prioritize safety, trust, and gentle, attentive care in your pet’s familiar environment. I specialize in caring for calm, low- to moderate-energy pets—including seniors, anxious animals, and those who need medication or extra TLC. While I love dogs of all sizes, I may not be the best fit for very high-energy or large-breed dogs who need intensive physical activity. My strength lies in creating a calm, comforting environment where pets can feel secure, understood, and loved. I’ll always treat your home with respect and care, and I enjoy keeping pet parents in the loop with regular updates and sweet photos while you're away. Thank you for considering me!

About: Growing up in a dog-loving household, I developed a deep connection with canines from an early age. My proudest experience was raising my own corgi from puppyhood, learning all aspects of responsible pet ownership. This hands-on experience taught me everything from training and grooming to understanding unique breed characteristics. Combined with helping care for my parents' dogs, I've developed a comprehensive understanding of dog behavior, daily care routines, and the importance of consistent, loving attention. As a student with a flexible schedule, I'm available consistently on weekends and most weekday afternoons. I carefully plan my pet care commitments around my classes to ensure dedicated, unrushed time with each pet. I can provide morning walks, midday check-ins, and extended playtime sessions, always prioritizing the pets' routines and needs. I prioritize creating a safe and comfortable environment for every pet in my care. When visiting clients' homes, I follow their specific care instructions meticulously and maintain regular updates through photos and messages. I ensure all doors are secured, maintain a clean environment, and keep pets on their regular feeding and exercise schedules. I also have pet first-aid knowledge for added peace of mind.

“Sophie has been amazing with my girl Rosie as she adjusts to city life. She has made a huge impact on keeping her calm and helping keep her active by giving her good exercise and working with to stay calm and focused while encountering squirrels, other dogs and loud noises on their walks. I have noticed such a change due to Sophie's interventions. Sophie is prompt, communicative and kind. A one of a kind! Rosie adores her!”

About: I love all animals big and small. I have volunteered at the Oakland Animal Shelter and Oakland Zoo. Always had cats and dogs in my life. I am retired and enjoy walking (and playing with) dogs/cats and getting exercise. My time is pretty flexible and can work with your busy schedule. Safety is my main concern when walking a pet — always ensuring harness/collar/leash is secure and avoiding approaching dogs. After a walk I fill their water bowls and ensure the door is locked.

About: I have always loved pets and will bring patience and care to yours while you are away. I enjoy the getting to know and make friends with your sweet fur baby I am available for over night stays. I work Wednesday thru Friday in the afternoon and evening on Saturday. Which leaves plenty of time to care for your pet. I am available for walks with flexible hours Sunday through Tuesday I especially enjoy evening walks. I can't care for pets in my home at this time. I would care and pet sit at your place where your pets have their own familiar surroundings.

About: I am a professional experienced pet sitter new to Rover. I have raised kittens and currently have an elderly cat and a cat with serious medical issues--I'm very comfortable with special needs fur babies. I also have a high energy cattle dog and I don't shy away from overexcited pup either. I take pride in caring for all animals! I am working part time while I study for law school. I am willing to work at any point in the day as long as it's available on my Rover calendar. I closely follow rules and deeply respect my clients home. I do my best to keep the house as it was left in my care.

About: Hi! I’m Courtney, and I love dogs and have lots of experience with dogs of all sizes and breeds from Chihuahuas to Pit bull terriers to Great Danes. I have worked for humane societies for years walking shelter dogs and helping with basic training and grooming, so I have lots of experience with dogs of all sizes including strong, highly active dogs that require an experienced controlled dog walker/sitter. I’m a firm believer in clear, calm communication with any dog that I am working with and I only use positive reinforcement. I work from home part time and have lots of time to dedicate to your pup! I’m responsible and respectful, as well as, punctual, and will happily give your pup all my love and attention! I’m available daily for dog walks and boarding and I currently have a small group of regular dogs that come on different weekdays for doggie daycare. My yard and entire property is fully fenced with a 6ft wood privacy fence and there is an extra gate between the front and back yards. I’m available pretty much anytime for dog walks but I do run a doggie daycare (max 5 dogs per day) in my home with my partner between the hours of 7:30am and 5:30pm Monday to Thursday. My current group of regulars (that come varying weekdays) includes dogs ranging from 15 - 85 pounds and almost all the dogs are between 3 and 5 years old. I also offer boarding for up to 2 dogs per night but usually I am booked out 4-6 weeks ahead of time. I live in West Oakland (very close to the Bart station!) and my home and yard are very secure with a 6ft tall redwood fence surrounding the entire property. My yard is pretty large and great for off leash fun as it’s completely safe and secure. I live only with my husband and our two very friendly Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who loves every dog they has ever met. Oliver even has a way of making dogs that are usually not dog friendly play as if they were a puppy - it seems to be his super power! While Opal is just a love who is always ready for fun in the yard or cuddles on the couch.

About: I’ve been caring for pets with genuine passion for 14 years, starting when I was just 14 years old. What began as helping neighbors with their furry friends has grown into extensive experience across all life stages—from energetic puppies needing structure and training to gentle senior pets requiring specialized attention and comfort. What truly sets me apart is my genuine love for animals combined with the reliability that comes from 14 years of consistent, trusted care. Pet parents can feel confident knowing their beloved companions are with someone who treats them like family. My schedule is extremely flexible right now. I recently moved to West Oakland from Boston for my partner’s job opportunity and am currently seeking a full-time position, which means I’m available for pet care services throughout the day and week. I can accommodate: • Last-minute bookings • Extended stays and overnight sitting • Flexible drop-off and pick-up times • Weekdays, weekends, and holidays • Multiple walks or check-ins per day I will maintain your pet’s established routine and environment to minimize stress. I will secure all doors/gates, follow feeding schedules exactly, and keep detailed notes on your pet’s activities. I’ll send regular photo updates so you can see your pet is happy and safe I believe in building trust through transparency. So you’ll receive honest updates about your pet’s day, including any concerns, no matter how minor.

“Priscilla is so great! She’s walked Sunny before, but she sadly recently lost her vision and no longer enjoys walking 💔 Priscilla is so patient and kind and empathetic. I can tell Sunny is getting more comfortable and confident walking outside 💕”

About: Hey there! I am looking forward to caring for your doggo or feline friend. I’ve been dog walking and pet sitting on and off for some many years now. I am very much a nurturer and will definitely accommodate your pet to feel at home whether dog walking or while residing in my home. In addition to growing up with pets, I’ve fostered dogs and had a pit bull. Currently I don’t have any pets, and this is why I’ll happily take yours for a weekend or some time. I see myself as their aunty and I’ll give them all the loving and care. Maybe it’ll be nice long walks through a trail or just snuggling at home. I’m comfortable with strict food routines, familiar with administering medicines, and will only take on one person’s pets at a time. Look forward to taking care of your little or not so little friend. Thank you! I work 6 hours shifts in the evening, but only four nights a week. I would definitely prioritize long walks for your fur baby, and be able to take them out during my days off I have a guest doggie bed, raised dog bowls(for doggie back support), some tennis balls, and extra doggie bags. There is an outdoor area as well in my apartment complex.

About: Hello!! I've been around dogs&cats since my childhood. I've trained and primarily taken care of three of my own. Memli, a beagle. Grace, a black lab mix and Junior, a GSD. I'm a freelancer and make my own schedule. Currently I'm looking to build more of a schedule around dog walking and dog/cat sitting. Week day or weekend availability. I understand every pet is a unique character that have different habits and needs. Even the ones whose owners think their pets are the 'very easy' to handle 😅 I'm happy to follow along your established rules.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, and have taken care of all types of dogs—from energetic puppies to special need elderlies. I love them all, and love having their company while I work from home! I work from home so your pet won’t be left alone at any point. I live near a dog park, an empty lot where we can play fetch just the two of us, and an emergency pet hospital. Pets are allowed on furniture in my home. I love to cuddle with them. There is a yard outside, so they can be let out to use the bathroom at any time.

Acorn-Acorn Industrial dog parents share their Rover experiences
Karem was on time and prepared. She asked all the right questions during a "trial walk", during which I excused myself and observed from afar (as I told her I would) to see their interaction. I was very impressed. There was even a confrontation with another unfriendly dog and Karem handled it very well. I've had dogs all my life and she clearly understands them and cares. My personal life has been a struggle for the last four years or so, and my dog got me through it all. As you can imagine, my dog is precious to me and from what i've seen, I completely trust Karem. I'm happy to be a reference; you have my number, or.: JD Hamner jdhamner@gmail.com

Madeleine was great with our super shy rescue dog! He went up to her almost immediately (very rare for him) and seemed to trust her right away. She even went back to check on him when he didn’t want to go out on a walk to make sure he got outside if he needed to. Would highly recommend Madeleine to any pet owners who want a kind and trustworthy sitter!

Ruby was fantastic! My dog is super shy and tends to be fearful with new people. Ruby really took her time to get to know her and even spent extra time over what we had booked her for to make sure that Fig was totally comfortable. Previous walkers have pushed her boundaries which of course only makes the problem worse. I will definitely be booking with her again!
