About: I’ve grown up caring for a variety of dog breeds and ages. They’re all deserving of quality and consistent care that I can provide. Count on me! I’m a homemaker with a flexible schedule for you. I’m available for morning walks, afternoon check in, evening walks and whatever else your fur baby needs. I am attentive to my elder dog’s needs making sure to provide assistance as she walks up and down our stairs. When doing in home visits I am respectful and mindful to leave the home as it was when I arrived.

“This is my first time using Rover and Ashley has been fantastic to work with. We have a young puppy and a shy adult dog and we need weekly visits. Ashley has been helpful and supportive working out a schedule, knowing it will evolve as the puppy gets older. She's responsive, flexible, and has given us good ideas on how these visits can meet the needs of both dogs and keep them happy and comfortable.”

“Samantha took great care of my two cats over the weekend. I had peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. She came to the house on time, sent me daily pics and updates. And, my shy kitty really seemed to like her!”

About: Hi my name is Fran. I’m a stay at home Mom in Mt. Airy with a 2 year old and 5 year old and infant. We live on 5 acres, all fenced, across from the state park and in addition to 2 dogs have horses, chickens, and barn cats. Both me and my husband have owned dogs all our lives, as well as worked in animal care. Professionally, i have experience as a barn manager, dog groomer, dog walker, trainer, and dog handler. I boarded dogs while attending college in Richmond, and took a break to focus on my career. Now that I have more free time I’d like to start up again as I absolutely love it!!!! I care greatly about dogs and make sure that they are well taken care of with plenty of love and exercise. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover all of my life. As a little kid my childhood dog was my constant companion and when I wasn't with him I was with the neighbors' dogs. In my twenties I moved to Alaska where I pursued a career in dog mushing and for two years lived with 120 dogs! Unfortunately due to frostbite I had to move back to the east coast. Meet my pets I have 2 dogs, Cash an Australian Shephard and Littles a mutt. Both love to play!! Cash is a puppy and will play all day long!! He loves every dog he meets. Littles is 14 and recently lost his sight, he’ll try and keep up with Cash but mostly he just loves to sleep. I also have 2 horses, Shadow and Dandy in their late twenties, too many chickens, and a barn cat. About my yard I live on five acres across from Patuxent State Park. We have a huge fenced in backyard, with lots of trails in walking distance! My experience administering medication Yes I have no problem administering medication. I’m currently a stay at home mom and almost always home so your dog will never be left alone for long periods of time!! My 5 year old is great with dogs and will give your animals plenty of love and attention!!! We have a large fenced in backyard with plenty of room to run! Your dog will be let out frequently and get plenty of exercise!! I try and take the dogs for a long walk at least once a day. Your dog will have free roam of the house, but we are more than happy to crate if you provide one. Our dogs eat in the am and pm, however we can accommodate your dogs feeding schedule.

Whether your dog loves active fun or quiet companionship, I provide a calm, loving experience so you can relax while you’re away. I just recently moved from Ohio to Maryland and am currently in the middle of a career change. With my passion for people and pets, I thought this was the perfect time to join Rover! I’m very flexible and can easily accommodate a variety of schedules—weekdays, weekends, or last-minute visits. I’m dedicated to making sure your pet gets the care and attention they deserve whenever you need it! I prioritize your dog’s safety and comfort above all else. I live on a peaceful, spacious golf course with very light traffic, providing a calm and secure environment for walks and play. My home features a large yard where your dog can run and explore freely. If your pup enjoys the company of other dogs, there are two friendly, well-mannered neighbor dogs nearby for supervised playdates. I will treat your dog like my own—with love, care, and attention—so you can feel confident they’re in safe, dedicated hands while you’re away.

“Lin always takes excellent care of my cat Pepper. I was out of town for over a week and Lin took great care of her during her drop in visits. Lin took time to play with her every day during her visits as well. Pepper can be shy, but she loved having Lin there. I got a nice update and lots of pictures with every visit card.”

About: I’ve cared for my dog(s) at home for the past 13 years: walking, feeding, bathing and playing with them on a regular basis. I have also volunteered at a cat and dog shelter for the past 6 years, caring for rescued animals. I am available for pet care most weekdays and some weekends! I’ll always make sure to spend as much time as you request with your dog/cat. I am sure to provide one-on-one attention with your pet(s), accommodating to their routines and your preferences. Whether your pet is more or less active, I look forward to caring for them and meeting them at their level!

“Moriah was truly a god send! Our dog is very protective of our home and the people in it. We were afraid we wouldn’t be able to go on our vacation this year because of our dog’s behavior. Moriah knew how to handle our situation with care and discipline with our dog. She sent pictures and updates every day. With each day our dog feel in love with her. I would recommend Moriah to anyone looking for a not just a dog sitter but a dog whisperer! ~Angel”

About: With experience caring for cats, dogs, birds, and aquatic animals, I’m glad to provide care to the pets who complete your family! I’m located in Sykesville, MD, but able to travel in central Maryland to meet your needs. I am available most week days, and with a few days notice, I’m glad to provide care on weekends to fit your pet care needs. Safety is a priority, along with care and engagement. While caring for pets, I look out for their safety by keeping a watchful eye on them, and always ensuring they are in a safe environment.

About: Cats have been part of my life since I can remember. I have raised many many kittens and sadly I just lost my cat of 19 years. That special love you share with your cat is precious. I have connected with cats (not my own) who follow me to and from school. One of my cats would go for a short walk in the woods unleashed. I find them mystical, independent, funny, playful and great company. I love caring for them from the shyest to the fiercest we find a way to get along. Currently I am not working full time but part time. However, I will start full-time soon so I can only help out on weekends or holidays. I don't mind a last minute call for help with your cat or dog. I live in a house with an electric fence so any dog who comes gets trained and/or I just take them out on a leash. It is important to keep the fur babies safe at all times. I don't crate, unless someone specifically wants me to do so. Depending on the dog or cat they can move around most anywhere in my house. Cats can be on the couch and chairs but usually not the dogs. It depends. We have dog beds.

Frances D.Star Sitter
“I asked Fran to babysit my puppy Misha while I went out of town for a week(she's six but she's a puppy to me). She impressed me when she first arrived and immediately had a rapport with my babbies . She had her in her lap in minutes curled up in doggy heaven getting petted. I have never seen her take so quickly to a stranger. I swear by the end of the week you would have thought that she had known her for years. She is the best dog sitter I have ever had. She was respectful and polite and I will definitely hire her again in the future. Also my babbies didn't pick up any bad habits while she was sitting. I've had sitters in the past that Misha would tug on her leash after they sat her, and she also started begging after this one sitter. After Fran took care of Misha she was perfect with the leash and was just as well behaved as normal. She just seemed happy and energetic at the end of the week.”
