“Kathryn exceeded our expectations and our Maltipoo’s expectations house sitting for us! She was very responsive throughout the booking process and while at our house, sending us regular updates. She followed all our instructions and even left the house very tidy! We are happy to have met her and look forward to having her back housesitting for us again.”

“Andy was great with our special needs kitty while we were away! He gave Buster lots of attention, managed his multiple feedings a day of wet and dry prescription food, and administered his daily oral medication without fuss. We were reassured by the many sweet photos Andy sent of Buster and himself along with updates. We couldn't be more pleased with Buster's care, Andy's attention to detail, and the neatness of our house on our return. We will definitely use Andy's help again in the future!”

“Samantha was the most caring, thoughtful sitter for my dog Bella. She sent pictures and kept me updated while I was out of town. And left my house exactly as I left it! I will absolutely use her again!”

“Sophia was an excellent dog & house sitter for us! She was able to come last minute for a meet and greet before we took a weekend away. She was prompt and communicative, and we came back to two happy, relaxed pups.”

“Mari was great! She took care of our two elderly dogs while we were away for a week. One of our dogs has a strict medication schedule and she was very good at administering it all and on time. Mari was also very good at constantly communicating with me throughout our time away which helped put my mind at ease. She sent photos and videos at least every other day. Mari genuinely cares about our dogs and their well-being and that’s all you can hope for when looking for a pet sitter. We would definitely book with her again. Thank you, Mari!”

About: Dogs and cats always have an affinity for me and I absolutely love spending time with animals. I promise to give the best care always. I can care for pets overnight or during the day. I am willing to be flexible and open to your needs and cater to your circumstances. Just ask me! I only use the best products for my kitten for food and litter. He eats all natural best rated foods and has an automatic litter that I change every two to three weeks. I love to cuddle and show him attention.

“Kat was a good send, last minute I was in need of someone to come and take care of my 7th month old puppy and stay at my place. She responded to my post in hours and was flexible as I figured out If it could work. She agreed to come and meet me first so we can connect since this was the first time I had ever hired a dog sitter. She took great care of my puppy and it was clear she is a natural. She took our pupp6 to her office well she worked, which was great because I meant she was never alone for too long. She took great care of the house and left it in great shape. I'm so glad that I found Kat for the next time. We need a do sitter.”

“Lux is great! She was on time, took notes, was organized and diligent, and took good care of my 2 dogs. I highly recommend her and would hire her again. She is also studying to become a vet which is an added plus.”

About: For house-sitting, please message us to discuss availability. We may have more availability than listed on Rover! Ryane and Dave are a couple with decades of experience in pet care. Between us, we have provided care for dogs, cats, small animals, birds (including raptors), reptiles, fish, and exotics. Our experience includes providing medication and taking care of special needs animals. Both Ryane and Dave have advanced degrees in animal-related fields; Ryane has a Ph.D in Animal Behavior and Dave has a Master's degree in Avian Science. Both of us have devoted our lives and careers to learning about and caring for various animals. Our experience through both research and wildlife rehab has given us plenty of hands-on medical experience with animals. Our former cat, Charlie, needed up to 8 medications a day for the last year of her life, and we understand just how hard it can be to travel when you have a high-needs companion. We hope our years of professional and personal experience caring for animals will help alleviate your anxieties, knowing your critters are in capable and loving hands. Please feel free to reach out to us to discuss if we are a good fit for watching your animal(s). Our schedule changes regularly and Rover may not be up to date; we may be able to accommodate requests outside of our listed calendar. Please message us to discuss options. Ryane currently works full time Tuesday-Saturday, but Dave's work is remote, so one of us is usually around to give care to your animals when needed! Please note that we are often balancing our work with pet care, so understanding your pet's individual care needs throughout the day is important to determining if we are a good fit. Please provide as much information as you can! We pride ourselves on leaving our client's home as clean as we found it and will always treat your home with the utmost respect. We do our best to follow your pet's established schedules and routines, making your time away as easy on your pet as possible! We are also able to provide regular house care (e.g. plant watering, etc.), just let us know what is needed!

“Pat stayed with our 2 kitties for a long weekend and we could not have been happier with her service. We have a huge book of instructions both for our cats (with rather complicated feedings, meds and various foods etc...), and for the house itself. She was glad to have the guidebook and managed to have a very relaxing time. The cats warmed up to her more than any other sitter we've had in the recent past. When we returned home the house was just as we left it and our kitties were totally relaxed. We will definitely be looking to hire her again!”

“Alicia is absolutely wonderful!! She stayed with our Norwich Terrier, Bixby, for an overnight and we couldn’t have been happier to have her. She is prompt, polite, and amazing with Bixby. He adores her! She took him on 2 extra walks and was so sweet with him. Will be booking again!”

“Emory was such a pleasure to work with. She came to meet our pup ahead of her care days which I really appreciated. Our pup was beautifully cared for and our home was in perfect condition when I returned. She was also a good communicator, sending pics and updates. I would highly recommend Emory to care for your pet.”

About: I grew up in a farm with Dogs and cats. I love animals, Im young, active and reliable been in contact with pets every day I do have office job. 9 to 5 pm after 5 Im available. able to stay overnight, Weekends and Holidays OFF always. own car also. I rather take care of them at your place, If its a small dog or cat I can take over my place. I can stay overnight, have own car and Im very active can walk, run, take them to park.

About: I’ve been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember. I’ve attended several training classes at Guide Dogs for the Blind. I’ve taken care of breeders and trainees. Family friends and neighbors have entrusted me with their rescues, dogs with anxiety, and older pets. I love going on long walks/hikes around Marin county and can’t wait to take your furry friend with me. I’m a college student home for the summer! I have a lot of free time this summer and am able to take care of your pet whenever you need me. I’m attentive to your pets needs and will be sure to respect your space. Let me know if you have any specific considerations you would like me to look out for.

About: Having been around so so many types of dogs and cats my whole life and love getting to know each other their fun quirks and personalities. Be it caring for them, taking them on walks or adventures, watching a movie with them and anything in between, time spend with animals is never wasted. My schedule is pretty flexible and remains largely unstructured all things considered. I prefer to work the later half of the week into the weekends, but as stated before, I’m flexible 🙃 I care for the many eccentric needs of my elderly cat, Jazzy, from cleaning her litter box when she sprays, to feeding her the special mixture of tinctures she needs. Sadly, because my cat doesn’t like other animals, play dates will have to remain out of the house or at the client’s home. I’ve helped neighbors, friends and family members pets when they were away in the past. I can use most leash and harness systems and am a fast learner.

About: I have been house and pet sitting for over 10 years from young puppies to senior cats. I mainly do it for extra income and for family, friends and referrals. I love learning about your pet's personality and quirks! I am currently in-between jobs so I have extreme flexibility. I often take dogs for walks while their owners are at work. I love going for hikes and to the beach. However, I always tailor my services to the owner and pet’s preference. I often both pet and housesit when owners will be out of town. My flexibility, kindness, cleanliness and communicative nature has built trust with my clients over the years. I respect house rules and make your pet the priority. I know your home is your safe space, and that’s why before I leave your home I make sure everything is exactly how you left it so that you can come home and immediately relax. I’ve been told by clients things like “our home is cleaner than how we left it” and “it doesn’t even seem like you lived here for a day, let alone 2 weeks!”

“I have had several people from rover stay with Steele. Andrew is the best. He won Steele over with the treats he brought for the meet and greet. During the stay he walked Steele as many as three times a day, took him to the beach, and sent lots of adorable photos. He’s professional, friendly and really cares about my pup. He will be my go to dog sitter.”

Ryane & David L.
“Ryane and Dave did a fantastic job housesitting and caring for my two chihuahuas. I was impressed at how comfortable they were with an opinionated chihuahua who needed several different medications throughout the day and they even got my little guy to do his daily physical therapy. These are not the easiest dogs to care for but Ryane and Dave built a relationship with them quickly and made sure they received the meds and care they needed. Communication while I am traveling is fantastic; I get frequent updates and some pretty great photos of my fur kids enjoying life. On top of that, I returned to a house that was exactly how I left it (nice and clean). Leaving my fur kids at home is never easy but knowing Ryane and Dave are in charge allows me to relax so I will absolutely use them again. Ryane and Dave have a lot of animal experience outside of dogs so they are also a great match for anyone with exotic pets, farm animals, reptiles or birds.”

Kosara B.
“Kosara cares deeply about animals, her mother worked in veterinary medicine as a registered veterinary technician for years, so Kosara always grew up around animals and helping them. She has helped professional dog trainers and has worked at boarding facilities. She has deep knowledge of how to work with all different dog breeds and is always compassionate and kind.”

Martha H.
“I want to deeply express my gratitude for the excellent care my cats received during their time in Monica's care. From the very first moment, I felt so at ease seeing her love and dedication to animals. It's clear she has experience and a special connection with them. She was always attentive to their feeding, cleaning, and play, in addition to keeping me informed with photos and messages. My cats returned calm and happy, which gave me a lot of confidence. I would definitely trust her again. Highly recommended!”

Zoe N.
“My dogs absolutely adore Zoe! We have three Labs; 2,8, and 11, and Zoe does a fantastic job pet sitting them. (And they can be a handful!) She gives them lots of love, walks and care as well as keeping the home clean while we are gone. She's a natural with pets, very responsible, and a fun and loving care giver for our dogs. I would highly recommend Zoe!”

Zander O.
“Zander was a great pet sitter for my family’s Siberian cat. Zander was attentive, kind, and clearly experienced. He kept us updated with daily photos and notes, giving us complete peace of mind while we were away from home. When we returned, our cat was relaxed and clearly well cared for. Zander went above and beyond, even watering our plants and bringing in the mail. We’re so grateful for his exceptional care and would trust him again in a heartbeat.”
