About: I have always gotten even the most skittish or aggressive animals to feel comfortable around me. I pick up on the animal's vibe and let them come to me once they feel comfortable. I have mostly owned and cared for smaller dogs in the past but I also have no problem with large animals. The biggest dog that I have cared for was a 180 lb bull mastiff. I have a serious soft-spot for dogs and I have noticed they seem to have a soft-spot for me too! I’ve had exotic pets and cared for other’s too. I have cared for multiple pets at once, and have owned multiple pets at once since I can even remember! I am very comfortable with animals, big or small, even scaley ones ;) I have a very flexible schedule and currently only have a time commitment on Monday and Wednesday evenings. I expect to get a PT job soon and will update my availability accordingly. I always check in with the pets parents to find out the pets favorite places or where they are not allowed to go and figure out where I fit in to make sure that the pet feels the most comfortable with me in their space.

About: I understand what it’s like to leave your pet alone with a stranger and I will make sure it is as if you never left! I have owned many different types of pets myself including dogs, cats, rabbits, and Guinea pigs. Animals seem to naturally gravitate towards me and I genuinely enjoy spending my time with animals. I am experienced with puppies as well as elderly dogs. I love showing families pics and videos of their pets while they’re gone to keep them updated! I am available weekday afternoons and some weekends. Monday, Wed, Friday after 3pm and T Th at 5pm. On weekends, I just need a 3 day heads up! I like to make sure the pet feels loved and safe first and foremost and I make sure to keep great communication with the client! I am very adamant on making sure all the necessary tasks are completed as well.

She came by as scheduled for a meet-and-greet with my 2 senior doggies (Mr. Bean and Penny Too) and my kitty Jondo, and they hit it off immediately. I walked Clare through their complex care instructions, and felt very comfortable leaving them with her. She took great care of my fur babies (as she calls them), and sent me several sweet photos while I was away. All went very well, and they've requested Clare stay again, which is already on the books. About: I’ve cared for dogs in a wide range of situations, including senior dogs, special-needs pups, and dogs recovering from injuries. I’m comfortable with the extra structure and patience they often need. I’m also careful and consistent with medications, and I follow detailed feeding instructions exactly, including timing, special diets, and any restrictions. What I’m especially good at is communication. I pay close attention to a dog’s eyes, ears, posture, and energy, because they tell you so much before they ever make a sound. I notice when a dog is unsure, overstimulated, tired, or asking for space, and I adjust right away, slowing down, giving them time, offering reassurance, or keeping things calm and predictable. I also use a gentle “dog voice” (yes, the sweet baby-talk voice) and clear, steady cues, because many dogs respond quickly to warmth, tone, and consistency. Even anxious or shy dogs usually soften when they realize they’re being understood. I’ve also cared for large dogs, and my Labrador retriever loves having big buddies to play with. No matter the size, age, or temperament, I’m respectful of each dog’s individual needs and I make sure they feel safe, seen, and truly cared for with plenty of affection, attention, and patience. I currently work from home, and I have a (mostly) flexible schedule. I like to get out with my dog two times a day for 2+ mile walks on local trails and parks. She is a true professional along with being a sweet and kind person who clearly loves the opportunity to spend time with dogs and not just be there and feed them and let them outside when needed. We felt very comfortable leaving our 3 beloved dogs and home in her care, which is not something you normally feel when first meeting someone, but she is who she is and is a genuinely good person. About: To ensure your pet receives individualized attention, we host only one dog at a time. We’re a good fit for dogs who are over 1 year old, 15 lbs or more, spayed/neutered, fully potty trained, and happy sleeping solo (no human beds or bedrooms). These basics help keep the vacation smooth for everyone. Pick up/drop off: 6:00am - 7:00pm. We live with a wonderful Lab named Lincoln (no current job). We are able to do walks (and runs!) through the Watershed, Deer Park, Headlands and love to take photos. For longer stays, we do field trips (including a secret dog pool in Petaluma 🤫). We try to switch each day up to provide variety. Backyard with plenty of room and recently installed dog run. Fenced from road. Also a hammock should our guest prefer a more leisurely day. ;)
