About: I grew up with dogs and I’ve been a dog owner most of my adult life. I’ve also been a dog owner from the puppy age of eight weeks all the way through mature life. I can take care of other pets as well, and I can be available for dog boarding, dog sitting, dog walks, and other pet care during your weekends and travels. I am a part-time parent and establishing this as additional income since I am a single income household in Marin county. I am available for dog walking and boarding on alternating weekends, and during periods of your travels when I am in town. I am an outdoors woman, and will get pets outside and active regularly. I know several local dog parks and dog-friendly trails since I’ve been a dog owner myself for years (I no longer have a dog as of early 2025). I have a fenced front and backyard. I can house a pet with all of your personal items for the pet anywhere in my home, and I can provide highly personalized care since I live alone (part time parent with alternating weekends on my own).
“Jesse has been great with our very active and sometimes reactive dog. He built a relationship with our dog quickly and we are very pleased to have such a reliable person to help out with Cooper! Jesse is also super responsive and works with our scheduling changes as needed.”

About: I’ve owned dogs and cats my whole life, and have experience with all ages as well! I’ve worked with high energy large dogs, as well as senior animals that require special attention. I appreciate every pet I come across and promise to treat them as I would my own! I’m a recent college graduate and work part time. On Wednesdays and Sundays I’m free to give your pet the love and attention they deserve! I don’t offer services in my own home, but I promise follow any of your pet’s specific needs and other house rules to the letter!

About: Hi! I’m a dedicated animal lover with two cats of my own, and I absolutely adore caring for pets of all kinds. Whether you have energetic dogs that need daily walks and playtime, independent kitties who want some extra snuggles, or any other furry (or scaly!) friends, I’m experienced and confident giving them the attentive, affectionate care they deserve. While you’re away, I’ll keep your pets happy and comfortable in their familiar environment, stick to their normal routines, provide plenty of love and exercise, and make sure your home stays safe and tidy. You can relax knowing your beloved companions are in trustworthy, caring hands! I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I’m highly available for drop-ins, overnight stays, and house sitting whenever you need me. Your pets will always receive prompt and attentive care! I prioritize your pets’ safety and well-being above all else. In your home, I follow your exact instructions and routines to the letter — from feeding schedules and medication to favorite toys and walk routes. I’m a responsible, non-smoker with a clean background, and I treat your space with the same care as my own.
“Michelle is an excellent dog Walker! She’s done a great job with my little girl VIDA. She is very in tune with her individual needs. I would highly recommend Michelle to walk your dog!”

“Janaki did a great job for us . She arrived on time and was able to make friends with our dog that has a bad tendency to over react when greeting newcomers, but Janaki was able to handle this well. We liked her photos on the walk especially charmed with phot of her holding two bags of poop.”

“Thomas has been a life saver for us with our dog Guinness. He is always on time, he is reliable, he is patient with our somewhat moody, large dog, and he has become our regular walker 3x per week. Thomas is super responsive to messages and seems to genuinely enjoy spending time with Guinness. I highly recommend Thomas !”

“Daisy was amazing!! She took such great care of our rottie/lab mix. She was responsible and was always on time. She came twice a day for his daily walks and showed Milo so much love! Would highly recommend Daisy to care for your pet! Thank you Daisy!!”

“Had Gage everyday this week, as our puppy was neutered and couldn't do his regular off-leash hikes. Gage was on time every day, and our puppy Murphy was very excited to see him each day! I wouldn't hesitate to book Gage again, and was grateful that he was able to accommodate a fairly last minute request for a week of 8am walks!”

About: Animals have always been an immovable part of my life. I grew up on a small goat farm in northern california surrounded by llamas, ducks, geese, 3 beautiful cats, 6 dogs, and of course, goats. Through life on a farm, I have developed an immense love of all creatures, furred, feathered, and scaled. I have also had lots of experience caring for sick and injured animals. I have volunteered with both wild animals rescues, and the humane society. I'm currently in school, so my schedule allows me time in both the mornings and evenings to spend time with your wonderful pets. My weekends are also free. House sitting is my specialty as I do not have too many pet responsibilities at home, giving me more time at yours! I’ve grown up around big dogs, old dogs and cats, and special needs animals, so i’m used to an array of care requirements. I love to walk dogs and cats, as well as visit the dog park as many times as they ask. Safety is number one while you’re out of town, so I will follow your guidelines/routine like the script for my big-break broadway audition. Please feel more than free to message me with questions prior to booking. Photo updates are also included in my services :)
About: I have had 6 dogs throughout my life, 2 of my own, and have helped care for them as well as many others. I have even volunteered at a local pet shelter near my house where I helped feed, bathe, and play with many animals. I love playing with dogs and going for walks as well as runs if they are able. I don't mind doing the dirty work such as bathing them or picking up poop and always am concerned with the well being of the animal. I love cuddling with all animals and giving them the love they need while their owners are away. I am usually pretty available durning the day and at nights, but if something comes up I will be sure to take care of the animal(s) in a timely manner. I currently have 2 dogs and cannot host any other animals in my home, but do not mind going to the pets home. I have experience working with special needs animals and administering medications. My own dogs have a crazy meal regime so I don’t mind dealing with any extra meal preparations. I work from home so I have plenty of flexibility to work from wherever. My partner and I tag team with our own dogs so they will be cared for so I can see to your pets needs. Again, my home is unavailable to host any other animals, however I don’t mind going to your home to watch your pet(s). I don’t need much, just a place to sleep and I’m sure I can figure out the rest as long as your pet has everything it needs. I have worked with special needs animals and can administer medication as needed.
About: My name is Valeria. I have taken care of pets since I was a child and my love for them has only grown as I have gotten older. I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. Growing up I had 3 dogs who I helped with the pet sitting, long or short walks, giving them their medications at the appropriate times, as well as taking good care of them. I am incredibly reliable, trustworthy, and flexible. One of the most important parts of being a dog walker is having empathy for them. I am always excited to meet new dogs and help them get exercise and fresh air. Any and all instructions you leave for me will be followed with the utmost care to keep your little buddy happy! If you have any questions do not be afraid to shoot me a message and ask away. I am currently working part time so I am available all day on the weekends and during the week as well in the morning and evenings! I live at home with a big fenced backyard which provides plenty of room for my dog to run around and play! She is very social and loves the company of other dogs.

I’m dedicated to creating a clean, calm, and nurturing environment where pets feel safe and cherished. I look forward to providing thoughtful, reliable care for your furry family members while you’re away. About: I am experienced in caring for dogs of all ages (I am always the go-to friend to dogs and housesit). Our family has an 8-year-old doodle named Stela, so I understand the importance of proper care and daily walks. Additionally, I have a good intuition regarding dogs and can sense if something is wrong or if we should cross the street because the owner doesn't want their dog to meet another one. As a responsible pet owner, I prioritize daily care and exercise. I ensure fresh water is available throughout the day and take regular breaks for bathroom walks. Weekly routines include walks, playing and thorough cleaning of their living spaces. I also schedule regular veterinary check-ups and maintain a consistent schedule for preventative medications. Hi there! Just wanted to let you know that I take a proactive approach when it comes to communicating with clients. As soon as I arrive at the house, I send a quick text message to let them know I'm there. Throughout the day, I also provide one or two status updates to keep them in the loop and reassured that everything is going well with their pet. And of course, I always make sure to leave the home clean and tidy. Thanks for choosing me as your pet sitter!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
