“Sophie, with a lifetime of experience taking care of dogs, was wonderful with our yellow Lab. Her home has an ample backyard area and is quite welcoming to dogs. Her Boston Terrier plays very nicely with others. Our Lab got lots of love and attention from Sophie, including regular walks in the low-traffic neighborhood near Dominican U. It is abundantly clear that Sophie, an energetic college student trying to earn some money on Rover, could not be more motivated to take phenomenal care of your cherished companion. She did so with our 4 year-old Lab.”

About: Growing up, I have always been around animals. I currently have a dog and two cats of my own that I love unconditionally. I have house sat for families with a variety of pets. About: I have cared for many pets in my life (a dog, cat, tortoise, 4 birds, 2 fish, and 9 hamsters to be exact) so my love for animals is a huge part of who I am! About: Animals have always been an immovable part of my life. I grew up on a small goat farm in northern california surrounded by llamas, ducks, geese, 3 beautiful cats, 6 dogs, and of course, goats. Through life on a farm, I have developed an immense love of all creatures, furred, feathered, and scaled. I have also had lots of experience caring for sick and injured animals. I have volunteered with both wild animals rescues, and the humane society. I'm currently in school, so my schedule allows me time in both the mornings and evenings to spend time with your wonderful pets. My weekends are also free. “This was Kat's first time sitting for our kitten Peanut, and she exceeded our expectations across the board. Communication was excellent — she shared regular updates and sent us genuinely fun photos that we loved getting throughout the trip. When we hit an unexpected schedule change, Kat was completely accommodating and made it a non-issue. The house was just as clean as we left it. She followed everything we asked, from the litter box routine to stripping the bed before we got back. Most importantly, Peanut was visibly happy and well-adjusted when we returned — you can always tell when a sitter has actually engaged with your pet, and she clearly had. About: I've had dogs in my life since I was a middle schooler. Between my family dogs and dogs who have lived in my home since then I have been responsible for at least 7 dogs, of all shapes, sizes and demeanors. I've kept moody Dachshunds, energetic Shelties, even tempered Retrievers and even rescue Pitbulls. I love hiking and getting outdoors, and bringing a canine friend along. I currently have one dog of my own, a peppy rescue mix, and he is my best friend I am available to dog/house sit very regularly. I am an ecological land designer working most days from home with the exception of days where I need to do a site visit or connect with my team in person. I can pretty much work from anywhere with a good internet connection, so most days would be able to be around in case your dog needs more frequent walks or attention. In addition to dogs I love other pets and plants! If you have house plants, a veggie garden or other plants that need some watering or attention while you're away I'll be able to help in the department as well! I work from home most days, so I am able to be flexible around a pets needs regarding feeding, walks, and medication. Ocassionally I do have to leave home for work, and that is typically up to 4 hours. We have one dog at home and since we don't have a yard, we typically take him up on the ridge to walk, or to the Red hill Dog park or San Quentin beach. These are great places to have some fun exercise
About: I currently have a chocolate point Siamese female nine year old cat with beautiful blue eyes. I don’t allow her around any dogs and she is always kept away in a separate room until the dog has left. I feel like cats are so special because they bring you so much unconditional love and affection and are so pretty and adorable. What’s their not to like? They really are angels on earth.

About: I love being around these animals as they give so much. My family and I have raised 6 guide dog puppies annd three breeders, over the last 14 years. Right now I help take care of 3 dogs who have been or are still working for Guide Dogs for the Blind. I have multiple days a week free and would like to take care of more animals. I would love to help in the feeding walking or bringing to veterinary care of any animal who's owner finds it necessary to supplement their own time due to constraints. I'd see myself primarily in the role of exercising or being a daily companion to these animals

“Veronica was great! Theo was happy to see me when I picked him up but he kept going back to the door when she was inside getting his bed :) to me this means he was sad to go. She sent pictures and videos during his stay. He found a great spot to hang out on the steps and had fun with the other dogs she was sitting. I would definitely bring him back for another stay and recommend her to anyone.”

“We got pictures of Saba on adventure hikes and playing with other dogs every other day - which we love to get when away. Saba is very social, so we were really happy that Jesse had daycare dogs or walking groups each day so she could play with dogs and get her energy out. She boarded at his house for 4 nights and came back exhausted, an owners dream. He has a backyard with play space which we actually went to see when we dropped her off. She did come back with a bit of a limp which we are assuming is from a lot of play time and didn’t eat her food like normal, which again could’ve been from missing us. We’re not looking into it, but make sure your dog is ready to play! Otherwise, his communication was great and was very quick to respond and adjust schedule if needed on our behalf. Will probably look into doing walks with him in future S well.”

“Our Luna girl stayed with Adam and Julie for over a week and this was herfirst stay with them. We did do a meet and greet a couple months before the actual stay so we had an idea if Luna liked Adam and Julie. Luna is normally a fairly reactive young puppy like adolescent with frequent barking and lungeing at people and dogs that distress her which can be many people and dogs. We went to their home for the meet and greet and Luna was fairly comfortable with Adam and Julie right off the bat. That was definitely a good sign. Two months later and Luna now 2 months older and more mellow has her stay with Adam and Julie. We picked Luna up after our trip and she was happy, playful, and reacted like she had a good stay. Julie and Adam gave us a full report and it seems everything went well. We got a daily picture of Luna sent via text which made us very happy to connect with her. Thanks to Adam and Julie for taking good care of our girl while we were on vacation.”
