“Kathryn is wonderful. We have appreciated her good humor and patience during the long (but very worthwhile) process of our dog Hildy getting to know a new person. We look forward to working with her going forward.”

About: Hi, I’m Janaki, a lifelong animal lover. I’ve owned pets my whole life and I’ve been the go-to pet person for my family and friends for as long as I can remember, trusted to care for their pets whenever they needed someone reliable and loving. I’ve spent decades caring for cats of all temperaments — from cuddly lap cats to sensitive or shy personalities — and I know how to read and respect their boundaries. I’ve also looked after a wide range of dogs, including energetic puppies, large breeds, retired racing dogs, and slow-moving seniors who need a little extra patience and care. No matter the animal, I bring a calm, observant, and thorough approach to make sure they feel safe, seen, and completely cared for. I genuinely love caring for pets and I’m always focused on creating a comfortable experience for both pets and their people. I’m a freelancer, so I have a very flexible schedule and lots of availability throughout the day and week. That flexibility allows me to easily fit pet care into my daily routine — whether it’s early morning visits, midday walks, or evening check-ins. I genuinely love caring for animals, and I’m always glad to make time for your pet. I’m happy to work around whatever schedule fits your needs best. Since I’ve had pets my whole life, tending to animals feels like second nature. I’m committed to making sure your pet never feels alone while you’re away. I’m not just there to feed them — I’ll spend quality time with them, give them attention, and make sure they feel loved, comforted, and cared for every step of the way. When I’m in your home, I’m a respectful and responsible guest. I follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible to keep things familiar and stress-free for them. Whether it’s feeding, walking, playtime, or just keeping them company, I make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and never alone. I’ll also gladly water plants or help with light home care tasks if needed while you're away.

About: I have been house and pet sitting for over 10 years from young puppies to senior cats. I mainly do it for extra income and for family, friends and referrals. I love learning about your pet's personality and quirks! I am currently in-between jobs so I have extreme flexibility. I often take dogs for walks while their owners are at work. I love going for hikes and to the beach. However, I always tailor my services to the owner and pet’s preference. I often both pet and housesit when owners will be out of town. My flexibility, kindness, cleanliness and communicative nature has built trust with my clients over the years. I respect house rules and make your pet the priority. I know your home is your safe space, and that’s why before I leave your home I make sure everything is exactly how you left it so that you can come home and immediately relax. I’ve been told by clients things like “our home is cleaner than how we left it” and “it doesn’t even seem like you lived here for a day, let alone 2 weeks!”

About: Loving, Reliable Pet Care with a Flexible Schedule 🐶🐾 I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities — from small seniors to large energetic breeds. I’ve raised a puppy of my own and have been professionally paid to house-sit and care for multiple dogs (up to five at once). I understand how to match a dog’s energy, follow routines, and create a calm, dependable environment. I'm confident with big dogs (up to 100 lbs) and always tailor my care to each pet’s personality and needs. I’m currently in a flexible, open-schedule period and available most weekdays and weekends. I can often accommodate last-minute requests and daytime visits. If your pet thrives on routine, I’m happy to set up regular visits or walks. My availability may change slightly week-to-week, but I’ll always communicate clearly and keep my calendar updated. I take pet care seriously — you’re trusting me with a member of your family, and I don’t take that lightly. I always follow your instructions closely, check gates and leashes, and make sure pets are secure, safe, and comfortable at all times. I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos during visits, so you’re never left wondering how things are going. I’m calm under pressure, and I work to create a low-stress experience for both you and your pet.

About: I’ve had dogs, hamsters, and now two kittens that I care for all by myself. I know what it takes to care for an animal! I work part time but not too often so I have plenty of free time! I hangout with friends but normally at night so I’m almost always free during the day! I’m super observant of doors or windows and making sure to keep animals inside. I’m good at playing with animals and knowing when to feed them or take them on walks or outside to use the bathroom!

“Wonderful service! Thank you Lux! Very detailed with updates and sent various photos and videos! Lux offered to bring treats for the cats which ai am sure they Greatly enjoyed! We are back home and the kitties seem happy!”

“Kelly was so sweet with our cat; sent amazing, detailed updates; and was super flexible with updates to my instructions. We knew Sheila was in great hands!”

“Emory was a pleasure to work with. Being that it was our first time with a dog sitter, she made the entire experience flawless. She was punctual, provided quality updates on our puppy, was in constant communication before and during the experience. She is a consummate professional and we definitely will be using her services again. We came back home to a happy puppy so we are beyond grateful.”

About: I’ve taken care of pets and wild animals since I was a child. From raccoons, squirrels, rabbits to rodents, chinchillas, cats and dogs. I have volunteered for an animal rescue group and SPCA. I have worked with puppies to senior dogs. Semi-Feral cats, kittens and senior cats. I am well versed in providing medications, caring for animals who are ill and bringing comfort to animals who need that extra attention. I have always had pets through out my life. My life is fuller due to the animals I’ve adopted as well as the pure-breeds I’ve called my own. It’s an honor to be loved by an animal and my job is to make certain I follow your consistency and routine. To give attention, pets and administer medications if needed. Thank you for considering me to be your stand in while you’re away. I work for myself and therefore can accommodate most schedules. I prefer to stay within Marin county to attend to your pets. I don’t offer having animals stay in my home but I’m happy to come to yours. Keeping your pets schedule is important. So I am one to stick to the schedule. Walking your dog or cat (sometimes cat owners have me walk cats). Playing with them. Brushing them, food, medication. Knowing what their favorite toy is. Learning their temperament is important. My job is to give them love so they are happy while your home and excited when you return.

“Susan did a fantastic job looking after our 3 dogs and getting them some much needed playtime. Happy that we have connected with her and will hire her again.”

“Lydia did a stellar job! She is reliable, on time and a she understands how to take of a cat, which is rare. I can tell she was here and actually paid attention to our cat because of the cat’s behavior when I got home. I would recommend her to another cat owner”

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 7 years old when I had my first fur friend and also my family and neighbors always relied on me when they were away to take their dogs on the walk, feed an play! I’m currently going to school and studying full-time but I have a lot of flexibility during my days and I will be happy to take care, play and walk with your dog! I can take care of your furry friend at your house and also can take on walks, feed and play or socialize at the dog park

About: To ensure your pet receives individualized attention, we host only one dog at a time. We’re a good fit for dogs who are over 1 year old, 15 lbs or more, spayed/neutered, fully potty trained, and happy sleeping solo (no human beds or bedrooms). These basics help keep the vacation smooth for everyone. Pick up/drop off: 6:00am - 7:00pm. Work from home (attorney) with my partner (family therapist) and a wonderful Lab named Lincoln (no current job). We are able to do walks (and runs!) through the Watershed, Deer Park, Headlands and love to take photos. For longer stays, we do field trips (including a secret dog pool in Petaluma 🤫). We try to switch each day up to provide variety. Backyard with plenty of room and recently installed dog run. Fenced from road. Also a hammock should our guest prefer a more leisurely day. ;)

About: Hi, I’m Grace! Animals have been my passion for my entire life, especially dogs. I’m a lifelong Marin County resident and mom of two senior mutts, offering my dog walking services here. I have worked with animals in many capacities for most of my life: dog walking, pet sitting, dog grooming, as an adoption counselor and kennel attendant at Milo Foundation, as a pet photographer, a kitty caretaker at a luxury cat boarding facility called Kitty Charm School, and as a regular volunteer at Rancho Compasión Animal Sanctuary in Nicasio with rescued farm animals. I currently have a couple openings for new dog walking clients. I have a regular roster of dogs that I walk in Novato, San Rafael, San Anselmo, Ross and Kentfield. If your dog is looking to make new friends and go on regular weekly walks, please reach out to me. I often offer my walking services on weekends as well. My rate for one dog is $40 for an hour long outing. I may have an opening for a private walk if your dog is aggressive with others. Please note that my rate for a private walk is $60 for an hour. I am also available to stop in once or twice a day to care for your cat or other pet while you’re away. Feel free to inquire with the dates needed. Please also note that Rover asks walkers/sitters to provide very basic pricing, but each client’s needs are different and we can discuss prices after those needs are communicated. I’m reliable, dedicated, big on communication, and send my clients really awesome photos of their pets living their best lives on the regular. I have a safe, reliable vehicle and dog walking insurance. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets! More about me: My dogs, Rudy (13 years old) and Malachi (10 years old) have been my whole world since I adopted them as puppies. Rest assured that your baby will be safe and have a great time with me. I am more than happy to have a phone call with you once you have messaged me, because I feel that’s the best way to get to know someone. In my free time you’ll find me taking my dogs on hikes, to the beach, doing wildlife photography, reading, cooking, and making art inspired by the beauty of the Bay Area’s stunning landscapes and wildlife. Covid concerns? Your comfort and safety is very important to me. I am vaccinated and happy to wear a KN95 mask when inside your home. Check out my animal photography on Instagram @gonewiththewild Pet care is a full time job for me, not something I do on the side that comes second to a 9-5 job. A typical weekday is spent walking dogs and stopping in to client’s homes to care for their cats and other pets while they are away. I often work weekends as well. If you need dog sitting in your home or to board at my home, I always require a meet and greet first to make sure we are all a good fit for each other. Please note that at this moment, I am not doing dog sitting or boarding.

Please let me know what works best for you and your pups in advance! I would really appreciate knowing as much info about your doggo before taking care of them. Any medical, dietary, or physical concerns. If possible, I’d prefer to schedule an in-person meet up beforehand to connect with your pets.
