Dog Walking Winterville

About: I have been a camper (dog-sitter) for service pups in training aged 2-17 months for the Guide Dog Foundation for about 1 year. I live in East Athens about 2 mi from campus but am willing to travel mostly anywhere around Athens if needed. I am pretty flexible on weekends (all-day) and Monday/ Friday afternoons. I am also available some Tuesday-Thursday late afternoons/ evenings but would appreciate more advanced notice. I live in an only partially enclosed apartment complex, so I would keep pets on a leash during any time spent outside unless my client had an enclosed yard.

About: I've always loved taking in animals and taking care of them whether they were my own or not. I have been pet sitting for about 4 years now, and I volunteered at an animal clinic in Athens, GA for 6 months. At the clinic I frequently bathed, walked, feed, and took care of many different dogs and cats. I currently only work a couple days out of the month and also complete college online, so my schedule gives me open and flexible availability! About: I’m used to dogs with big personalities-especially huskies-so high energy, stubborn streaks, or quirky behavior don’t faze me. My own one-eyed bandit requires daily eye drops, so I’m comfortable with medications and more involved routines. I pay attention to each pet’s individual needs and try to make them feel as normal and stress-free as possible while you’re away I'm currently working part-time, and am in my final semester at UGA! I’m most available in the early morning and mid-afternoon, with evenings wide open! For drop-in visits, I handle feeding, water, potty breaks, and any requested care like medication. I also spend time playing with pets so they feel comfortable and not just briefly checked in on. I follow each pet’s routine closely!

About: I have always had dogs and know what they need. Never had a complaint and have been dog sitting for the same people! I have same day canceling and same day booking. I’m available whenever! I wake up pretty early and go to sleep later at night. Opened throughout the day, and will stop by at anytime making sure they have what they need. I respect what isn’t mine and will take great care of you animal. Feeding them at the time they need and getting them out of the house pretty often.

About: Hi, I'm Maddie! I am a third year student in the University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine. I'm a pet lover with hands-on experience as a vet assistant in a busy practice. I've done everything from nail trims to surgery prep/monitoring, and I can handle your babies with both skill and compassion. I can give medications, read body language, and helps even the most nervous pets feel safe! I've also volunteered in shelters, and have raised two guide dogs in training, giving me a solid background in dog behavior and training. Although there are great parks in my neighborhood, and I do not mind driving your pets to parks for walks!

“I was a first time Rover user, due to boarding at a local pet daycare not working out. I have two in tact opposite gender fur babies, who have never been cared for by anyone but their in home family….us. My family and I went on a 5 day vacation and needed to have them walked 3x per day. Due to the turnaround time, the walker needed to be booked within 48 hours. Being a novice, I thought I would need to cancel my family’s vacation. Cheyenne accepted my booking and was such a gem! Cheyenne went above and beyond during the 5 days she was booked to walk my two fur babies. She was so kind to keep with their walk times to the minute. She was never late and always on time. My two fur babies took to her immediately, which to me was the best feeling as a fur parent. She even taught me how to use the Rover App! She sent pictures as a part of their walk report card. About: I don't have any professional experience, but I've grown up in a family that has housed a lot of dogs and cats since I was born. We've had 4 dogs and 7 cats from my early childhood until today, so while I did obviously have the rest of my family to assist with them, I've still had firsthand experience with a lot of different behaviors and habits of these pets and how certain traits or preferences vary between them. I finished college at UGA recently, so I'm currently at home full-time. Pet care would be pretty easy to fit into my weekly schedule. I always try to make sure I feed my cat her treats once a day around the same time, so consistent feeding and cleaning wouldn't be that much harder with additional pets. I am gone some evenings on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, but other than that my time is fully open to help your pets stay relaxed, happy, and healthy. My backyard has a fence, but it's currently old and unrepaired, so the gates cannot close properly, so any pets prone to running will be staying inside or on a leash. My house is very small, but my front and backyard are very spacious, ideal for pets that are uncomfortable in small spaces. My cat can be skittish around other animals, so I will need to keep her in a separate space from them, but my family's done that with many of our cats, so it will not be a problem for the client or their pets. My roommate stays inside most of the time, so but he's also very friendly and should not pose any issues for the pets.
