About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs of my own and those belonging to friends and family for years. I have no problem feeding, exercising, playing with, and cleaning up after cats and dogs. I also have experience dispensing medicine and caring for sick cats and dogs. I’m currently working part time, but I should have lots of time off this upcoming month (July/August). I can pet sit on busy days as long as owner is comfortable with me possibly leaving for hours at a time. In my home, I like to keep my cat inside. My back yard is fenced in for our dog. I try my best to keep the house clean and orderly to avoid any potential danger for my pets, and would do the same for yours. For walking, leashes are always a must.

About: I don't have any professional experience, but I've grown up in a family that has housed a lot of dogs and cats since I was born. We've had 4 dogs and 7 cats from my early childhood until today, so while I did obviously have the rest of my family to assist with them, I've still had firsthand experience with a lot of different behaviors and habits of these pets and how certain traits or preferences vary between them. I finished college at UGA recently, so I'm currently at home full-time. Pet care would be pretty easy to fit into my weekly schedule. I always try to make sure I feed my cat her treats once a day around the same time, so consistent feeding and cleaning wouldn't be that much harder with additional pets. I am gone some evenings on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, but other than that my time is fully open to help your pets stay relaxed, happy, and healthy. My backyard has a fence, but it's currently old and unrepaired, so the gates cannot close properly, so any pets prone to running will be staying inside or on a leash. My house is very small, but my front and backyard are very spacious, ideal for pets that are uncomfortable in small spaces. My cat can be skittish around other animals, so I will need to keep her in a separate space from them, but my family's done that with many of our cats, so it will not be a problem for the client or their pets. My roommate stays inside most of the time, so but he's also very friendly and should not pose any issues for the pets.

About: After the passing of my senior dog, Fezzik, I felt the need to share my care for pets with others in my community. With experience volunteering at animal shelters and caring for senior animals, I can be the attentive caregiver your furry companion needs! I currently am starting my career in online teaching and content creation, which means I work from home and have a flexible schedule. With frequent walks already built into my schedule, I am a good fit for pets of any activity level! I live in a gated community with ample space for leashed walks and time in the grass for pets who are boarding. I maintain a clean, second-story apartment which includes a balcony and dog bed. I have my own transportation for at-home visits as well.

About: While I've had pets my entire life, I've professionally cared for the animals of others for nearly 10 years. While I was in the Army, I fostered for a local rescue and did the basic training and socialization for young, abandoned puppies to get them ready for forever homes. While pursuing my BS of Animal Science at ISU (Class of '19) I worked at Lloyd Veterinary Medical Hospital with equines of all ages, and spent several years as professional Animal caretaker working at the USDA with small animals. I have experience with dogs and cats, young and old, as well as rodents and other small animal pets, geckos, and freshwater aquarium fish. I am semi-retired, and work my own hours part time so schedule is flexible and it's easy for me to fit your pet(s) into my daily life Your pets will be most comfortable in their own environment, and I am committed to caring for them in a way most similar to what they are accustomed to.

About: I have been petsitting for over eight years and am a huge animal lover. Diverse service dog, high energy, large and small breed, and all age pet care experience. EXPERIENCE: I've pet sat a variety of breeds, including labs, doodles, mixes, little ones, and goldens. I also have a range of walking experience, from a high-energy golden and a stubborn, low energy lab. I have also given senior pets TLC and love. I helped co-raise and train a guide dog puppy, who had lots of energy, and helped my family pet become a therapy dog. ABOUT ME: My current family pet is a big girl who likes to sleep more than anything. I am a graduated student and a huge animal lover, volunteering at a rescue when I can. I update my schedule regularly and take same day bookings, always making sure that I have plenty of time to take care of your pet. I will leave your home just as I found it, with your pet safe and sound and happy after enrichment time! I am happy to take them on the walking route of your choice and fit in plenty of play time.

About: I have been around animals my whole life and I love them! I have a 4 year old kitty named Bunny and she is everything to me. My best friend has a mini Australian shepherd that is very friendly and I love being around him. I also have watched my brother and sister in law’s dogs for 2 years now. They ranged from having 4-8 dogs at different points and I would love to go stay with them, feed them, and get to play with their fluffy selves! I am working limited hours at this time, so I am available weekdays 8 a.m.- 2 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.- 9 p.m., and also weekends any time! I will monitor the animals needs and be there in any way I am needed. I will take them outside as much as directed, feed them, make sure they have water, and love on them!

Let me love on your pets so you can enjoy your time away worry-free! My scheduling is very flexible and I am able to care for animals in between my academics and my other nannying job! I also have a small business, but am trying to make as much money as possible to support myself as a fully, financially independent college student. You’d be doing me a huge service by helping support me and removing some of that financial burden 😊😊 I prioritize safety and comfort for every pet. About: I've taken care of dogs all my life, I've owned a Yorkie and Lab/Pit Mix from puppy to senior. I now have a kitten named Sushi and she's very desensitized to other dogs and very curious of all life. I have often helped friends and family take care of their pets whenever they're not around and I'd love to do the same for you and your furry family members. I'm currently working part time so I have so much time on my hands to play, walk, and spoil your dog for around 4 hours a day. The customer is always right, and however your pet needs to be taken care of is exactly how they will be attended to. If dog walking, I like to have multiple leashes on me just in case it breaks. If I'm checking in daily I would try to come by as much as possible and stay for a while to play.

Kenzie was the absolute best pet sitter we’ve ever used. She was very puntual and responsive to our messages. She was willing to go above and above to make sure our pets (1 dog & 1 cat) were comfortable and she took care of them as her own. She kept us updated through every visit and sent us great photos and videos. Definitely 100% recommend using Kenzie for your future pet sitting needs. We will definitely be booking her again as holidays are coming around!

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and feel an intense bond with them. I love all sizes and all breeds and feel eternally grateful for the time to get to know a new animal. I’ve adopted, fostered and loved on other people’s pets over the years. Two years is the longest I’ve ever had someone’s animal in my home. I usually work from home, so I am around to spoil your pet as if it were my own. I have a big fenced in back yard for your pup to explore and get energy out... I’m also an avid walker/hiker and love to take a dog with me on that adventure if they’re up for it. During the pandemic I watched a friends dog for literally two years while they were in-between selling and buying a home. Getting to know new animals personalities is so fun for me and I strive to have them feel as calm and comfortable as possible. Allowing a dog to feel safe brings me immense joy. This past summer there were only two days I wasn’t taking care of someone’s animals, whether at their house or mine. I also love taking pictures of animals, so expect some photographs on your return or to assure you all is well while you’re gone. If I’m hosting I have a large fenced in backyard and constant access to go potty or sniff around if that’s what your dog enjoys. I also have a large crate available that I can set up if your pup likes being in their own space when needed, otherwise it won’t be used at all. If your dog is a couch lover I can cover my couch and bed snuggles are always welcome. We have trails directly from our house to the North Oconee river, so we usually hike dogs in the woods to the river and back where they get to fully explore nature. If preferred I can walk them through our neighborhood streets, which is a calm and hilly neighborhood to explore without high traffic. When I’m in your home I like to make sure the animals feel loved on and comfortable and spend some quality time with them, both with snuggles and long walks around the neighborhood if applicable. I enjoy being in the environment of other people’s spaces and have nannied and cleaned houses, air bnb’s and businesses for people for many years and love to keep a clean space. If you need something organized or cleaned that is something I offer for extra income. Also experienced in house plants and can water for you while you’re gone as well (indoor or out if needed).

About: There's not many people out there who love animals as much as me. I have experience with dogs, cats, fish, rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles of all kinds, and other exotics such as sugar gliders. As a part of one of the biggest pet rescues of the Southeast, I have fostered and cared for dogs of all sizes, with all kinds of needs from medications to heartworm treatment. I've also apprenticed with an experienced and well-known dog trainer. I can read dog behavior well, and am patient and understanding with anxious, frightened, and grouchy pups. I want to make sure my client's pets have someone trustworthy looking after them; my pets have always been my family, and I know many others feel that way too. I strive to be of the utmost reliability, the one who will not let you down. I also strive to work with a client's budget as much as possible, because I know I'd want the same done for me. I currently work full-time from 8-5, but my schedule is usually pretty flexible, making it possible for me to handle drop-in visits/walks, and keeping dogs in my home. I really enjoy letting an owner know how their pet is doing. I send lots of pictures and updates. My aim is to make the pet feel as comfortable as possible while their human is away!

About: I own an energetic and loving Australian Shepherd mix. I have taken care of several dogs in the past. This included walking/feeding/sitting with the dogs. I absolutely love walking dogs! I know how hard it is to take care of your pet with a busy schedule, so I can help by taking care of your furry friend! I work 3-4 days a week and have a pretty flexible schedule. My schedule varies week to week, so I should be able to work with you to take care of your dog! I will walk your dog and help them get plenty of exercise. If you have a fenced in backyard, I will let them run around and play. I will give your doggos all the pets and snuggles. You will get lots of pictures of your dog having a great time!

About: I am an absolute dog lover and Rover lover! After I graduated from UGA in 2018, the first thing I did was purchase my own puppy, and she has been worth every sacrifice. Rover has helped me out so much while I have been moving between houses, and would be honored to give back by being a sitter. I am married and work full time, but am flexible as to whether I am working at home or in the office, and my husband is available to switch off with me as needed. My dog is very gentle, and loves play when with a good buddy. I am also a runner, so if your dog is high-energy, I will gladly take it for a good run (Yes- even if they want to yank my arm off)! I am diligent about taking puppies out to use the restroom. I understand (from experience) what it takes to house-train a puppy, and how important consistency is. I have a very flexible job, and already spend a lot of time with my own dog. Adding another in the mix would just be more fun for Mal Pal and I! Currently, I do three walks: morning, afternoon, and evening. I try not to leave dogs for longer than and hour if I need to leave the home while pet-sitting. When I am gone, pups stay in their crates.

Hailey is very nice and I think if we had given it a couple more times of meeting my dog they would have gotten along. Very respectful and responsive I would recommend. I also appreciated that she communicated that she was uncomfortable with my dogs reaction to his first time having a stranger open the front door and try to walk him. I appreciated the honesty and the timeliness of her cancellation so I could find someone else. He wasn’t up for it he barred his teeth and growled. She sat with him to see if he would warm up but I think I needed to do more introductions before having someone come and try to walk him after initially meeting him for 30 minute. Shiba Inu’s are a cute, but different breed. I definitely would recommend Hailey for mellow chill dogs like labradoodles etc. I really did like her but understand and respect her decision, having trained horses myself and colt starting there are some that you just don’t mesh with and need to move on.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
