Kat works from out of the house in the morning but from home in the afternoon and Dan works part-time, leaving us both with flexible schedules for pet care and to give dogs boarded with us all the time and affective they deserve!

Our yard is fenced-in in the front and back. We can accommodate for having your dog in a separate area to eat if that is needed. If your dog is used to being crated we have a few spare dog crates of medium to large sizes that they can use. We have two senior dogs, one of whom is indifferent to other dogs and one of whom loves them. Our cat is our house ambassador, who, out of everyone, has most enjoyed playing with fostered pitbulls. Our pets are very accustomed to sharing space with other dogs of all shapes, sizes, ages, and energy levels.

We like to board dogs in a way that makes them most comfortable and allows for the easiest transition. We would like to know things like: - What is your dog's routine? When do they like to be fed? Are they used to going outside or playing at a certain time? - Does your dog love playing with certain toys or playing particular games? - Does your dog have any medical needs, special food, or medications that need to be administered? - We like to get your vet's information in case of a very unlikely emergency. -How your dog interacts with other dogs and cats. -While we do not typically board large dogs at our house, please still feel free to reach out about large dogs aged 10 years and older, as we may be able to meet their energy needs. - And of course, we want to know if you have any special requests or questions we can help answer. *Privacy discount - We value our privacy and your trust while housesitting. We provide daily photo updates and extend a $10/week discount to not be on camera while in your house.
A typical day
We enjoy spending time with dogs exploring our yard or accompanying us on walks around nature trails. We like to play tug or fetch and if a dog has an active sniffer we might even play 'can you find the treat'. We'd love to hear what your dog is used to so we can help keep up their routine and training while away from home.

Alongside our experience owning dogs and one cat, we have fostered over 15 dogs, many of whom have had complex medical needs and have all found their happy home. We also have extensive experience with senior dogs and those who need to take medications regularly.

Kat and Dan did a great job taking care of our three dogs for a long weekend trip to VA for a relative’s memorial service. Each dog requires different food and attention and they did a wonderful job making each one feel special. We will definitely give them a call when we schedule our next trip!!
