“Winter did a great job taking care of our 4 cats. I really appreciate how easy the whole process was and how well Winter communicated and kept us posted while we were away. Thanks so much!”

“Ruth was a wonderful sitter for our cats while we were away on vacation! She left us fun and detailed notes about the visits that were truly appreciated. She seemed to really understand our cats needs and personalities in order to offer exceptional care. She was kind, responsive, and sent adorable photos of the cats as well. She even brought in our mail and was attentive to clean the cat’s dishes. We will definitely be reaching out to her for future vacations!”

“Kelly was able to accommodate us last minute for a drop in visit for our pup. She was prompt and followed our instructions for our senior boy. We would highly recommend!”

“We needed last minute drop-in care for 3 7-week old puppies and Miyu was great. We could tell the puppies were well taken care of & everything was super clean, neat and tidy. Will definitely book with her again!”

About: I’ve pet sat my friends animals, and they’ve had so many! Senior dogs that have accidents and have behavioral issues. Exotic pets, of many kids. Every morning, I fill the cat and water bowl in my room, weekly I clean the bowls. For my dogs, whenever my parents don’t feed them cause they are out, I feed them and fill their water. I brush their coats, and try to give them baths every few weeks or so! However the pet parents would like, but I care for what is best for their health. I understand each pet is different and needs different things. I can bathe the animals depending on behavior, my right leg doesn't haven't as much feeling since surgery and cant handle a lot of big pressure.
About: All my life, I've had dogs and cats as part of my family. I have a lot of experience with caring for puppies and older dogs and cats as well as feeding, walking, bathing, and playing with other's pets. I'm currently working a part-time job which lets me keep my schedule open and flexible. I'm available mornings and evenings most week days and weekends. Typically, I do my best to keep the pet's routine the same (walking, playing, and feeding times) as well as keeping to special instructions, such as administering medicine or training methods. I'm neat and clean and make sure to keep people's homes tidy with both day visits and overnights. Also, I give people daily updates on their pets while they're away, including photos and daily check-in texts.
About: I've taken care of animals since I was 7 years old. What sets me apart is the genuine care I give to every pet. I focus on personalized attention, clear communication with owners, and creating a calm, loving environment so pets feel safe and happy while you're away. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I schedule my day around visits, walks, feeding times, and play so each pet gets reliable care and attention. I treat every pet like family. I follow their usual routine for meals, walks, and playtime so they feel comfortable while their owner is away. I also provide lots of attention, love, supervision and updates so both pets and owners feel safe and at ease.
“Kim is very friendly, courteous and polite. My dogs immediately took a liking to Kim and showed her how comfortable they were with her while holding them in her arms. As soon as my dogs were placed on Kim's lap, they stopped barking (usually a constant barkers) and became calm. Kim's secure, loving affection she conveys has a valuable impact to my dogs' temperaments.”

About: I have taken care of many dogs and cats, from high school to present, when friends and relatives have relied on me to walk dogs and change litter boxes. Now, I love to play with my friends' dogs and go for walks around the neighborhood! I am currently on research time in residency which means more flexibility, working partially from home, and more time to take care of your pets! My schedule varies week to week, and include time working from homes and gaps when I can take pets on walks. I have a fenced in back yard and fairly spacious one bedroom in a walkable neighborhood, centrally located, and perfect for a walk around the block, leisurely long stroll, or multiple night stay! For walks, I also like to go to Eno state park or other nearby trails to tire your pup (and myself) out. For pet sitting in your house, I am organized, respectful, and clean. Your pet will get lots of play time and belly rubs!

About: I can’t have a pup of my own so caring for other people’s dogs is what I love to do! I have boarded a dog for 8 months in the past and continue to house and dog sit whenever the opportunity arises. I have 5 years of dog handling experience and I take pride in giving owners solid peace of mind so they can go about their day knowing their 4 legged family member is well taken care of. I understand that every dog is different and you can rest assure I will go over each and every detail concerning your pup. When I care for dogs, I treat them as my own, providing lots of love and attention. I promise to treat your pup as you would, a day full of walks and belly rubs.
“Maisie absolutely loves Raquel, and she was able to come last minute with no issues! She goes above and beyond when hanging out with my dog, and I know Maisie is in good hands when Raquel is there!”

About: Dog mom to 4 dogs in my adulthood. Recently lost my soul dog who was a 13 year old collie-lab rescue. Dogs are family to me. 2 day minimum stay. I work part-time. Depending on the day care is needed, your dog may have to be left crated for 6-8 hours. Fully available on most weekends. Ask about availability during the week as my work schedule varies. Must be house broken and leash friendly. I do not have a fenced in yard. 2 day minimum stay Dog walking, boarding. We live in a neighborhood perfect for walking dogs- low traffic, quiet. Unusual to walk around the block without seeing neighbors walking their pups.
About: I rescued a dog at 5 years old and cared for him till he was 10 years old. He battled with an uncurable disease for the last four years of his life. I fought till the end to make him comfortable and happy. He had a lot of dietary restrictions and challenging personality traits including separation anxiety and selective dog aggression. I grew up with a dog that was my 5th grade birthday present. We rescued him and he had food aggression. I am willing and capable of watching other dogs with unique needs. I currently own two german shepherds! 1 is almost 2 years old and I have had the him since he was 8 weeks. I have survived potty training and teething. We are now in the teenage years. The other is 6 years old and I rescued him two years ago. He has epilepsy and is an alpha. I have done a lot of training with him as well. I also have a cat who is BFF with my dogs. I work from home and have typical office hours. I am available to watch pets while I work or board them over night. I have two dogs of my own so your dog will have a set routine still while they stay with me. I have a townhouse with a small fenced yard that my dogs love. My dogs are crate trained and have an extra crate if that is preferred. I can crate your dog at night / when I'm not home or they can roam freely. I will do whatever your dog and you are comfortable with. I treat your dog like they are mine and will follow any special instructions you may have. My goal is to make sure they are comfortable and safe while you are away. I believe in positive reinforcement and training and that these dogs are our babies.

About: I've had dogs for over 15 years and a cat for almost 10 years and love taking care of them. I currently have 1 older cat living with me and he is very kept to himself. He's a sweet little guy who isn't bothered by other animals as long as they don't bother him! My availability is any time between classes which are scattered throughout my week. This is a small part time job I've taken for fun while going through my medical school journey so I spend most of my time studying. However, I will happily take your pet to a nice study spot! I'd also love to spend my study breaks on walks or runs with your furry baby! I am very flexible with timing and cancellations. Though I don't have professional experience, I have been around animals all my life. I'm very good at following directions and love learning new things. If the dog has special necessities, I am willing to accommodate. Pet care fits naturally into my routine as a student. I often take dogs with me to quiet, dog‑friendly study spots, and I use my study breaks for walks, playtime, or runs. Because my class schedule is scattered, I’m very flexible throughout the week and can adjust care times as needed. Spending time with pets is a fun and refreshing part of my day. I care for pets by sticking closely to their regular routine and following all instructions for feeding, walks, meds, and special needs. I make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and comfort through walks, playtime, or relaxed hang‑out time. In my home, I have one older cat who mostly keeps to himself and does well around other animals as long as they don’t bother him. If needed, he can be comfortably kept separate in a bedroom he’s used to. I always aim to keep things calm, clean, and stress‑free for both pets and owners.
“Nina did a great job checking in on my cat, Socks! I was happy to find someone with such relevant experience - her own cat and Socks are similar in age and temperament. I left detailed instructions and Nina followed them well. When I returned from my trip, I was relieved to see that everything was in good order and that Socks had been in good hands. I am glad that things worked out on my first try with Rover and that I found a go-to cat sitter so quickly!”

About: Hi I’m Meg, I’ve been pet sitting and for over 5 years, and have done some fostering too! I LOVE animals and getting to know each individual personality. I also have a sweet little dog and indoor/outdoor cats who are very used to being around new dog friends (but mostly make themselves scarce when newcomers are around). I love to be active and outside, and prefer to take my long walks on the sand now that I live bt the coast! I understand pet ownership and the stress that can come with finding a trustworthy sitter who will be reliable and loving towards your pup, so I’m glad to provide some peace of mind to those looking for pet care. My husband and I tend to tag team our pet care jobs, as I work mornings and he works afternoons, so we are able to provide our clients with consistent, reliable care at any time of day. We both have extensive pet care experience and a big love for animals! Based on our clients home and preferences, we offer long walks or potty/playtime in their backyards. And if interested, we offer to bring our fun loving, dog friendly lab mix for extra play and enrichment!

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
