About: I moved to Richmond about a year ago, which meant leaving my two pups back home with their dad. As rural, born-and-bred dogs, city life just wasn’t the right fit for them. So now, I’m filling that gap by spending time with other people’s furry friends! I’ve become the go-to dog walker for my neighbors, and I genuinely love it—it gives me my weekly dose of wagging tails and happy walks. I’d love the chance to walk your dog and give them the care, attention, and exercise they deserve. Pet care is something I’ve naturally built into my weekly routine. Since moving to Richmond about a year ago and leaving my two dogs back home, I’ve really missed that daily connection with animals. Walking dogs has been the perfect way to stay active while still getting that time with furry companions. I regularly walk dogs for my neighbors, so I’m already used to planning my schedule around consistent walks and giving each dog dedicated attention. It’s something I genuinely look forward to each week—it doesn’t feel like a task, but more like a highlight of my day. I’m flexible, reliable, and happy to fit walks into my routine in a way that works best for both you and your pup. I will provide attentive, personalized care based on each pets routine and personality, whether I’m in my client’s home or caring for them on a walk. I make sure every pet gets plenty of exercise, affection, and supervision, while sticking closely to any instructions the owner provides regarding feeding, leash use, or behavior preferences.
“Nina is an incredibly kind and reliable sitter! She has walked my dog Winnie for the past year and it has been lovely to work with her. Winnie always enjoys her walks with Nina!”

“Mel did an outstanding job with our dog, Buster. She did everything we asked her to do, but most importantly, she truly loved our pet. We will be calling on Mel for future dog sitting! Thank you Rover for helping us find her!”

About: I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. I take the time to learn each pet’s unique personality, routine, and needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether it’s energetic walks, playtime, cuddle sessions, or sticking to a detailed care schedule, I’m committed to providing dependable, attentive care. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your furry family member is happy and in good hands. I’m currently working fully remote, and I choose my own hours, so I’m available anytime of day. I’m willing to work with you and your pet’s needs to ensure your furry friend remains on their consistent routines. I believe pets are happiest when they can stay in the comfort of their own home and stick to their normal routine. During each visit, I make sure they have fresh food and water, plenty of potty breaks or a clean litter box, exercise and playtime, and lots of love and attention. I also administer medications if needed, reinforce any routines you’ve established, and keep your home tidy by cleaning up after your pet. After every visit, I’ll send you updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing and have peace of mind while you’re away.
“Got along very well with my mini poodle, she may be his new best friend 🧡 they did great together from the moment they meet at the meet and greet, she did an awesome job”

About: Hi! I’m Cheyenne, a lifelong animal lover with hands-on professional experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I previously worked at a kennel-free dog boarding facility, where I helped care for multiple dogs at once in a safe, supervised environment. I’ve also worked as a full-time dog walker and pet sitter, providing daily walks, drop-in visits, feeding, medication administration, and lots of attention and playtime. Animals have always been part of my life—I’ve grown up with dogs and cats and currently care for my own pets as well. Because of my background in both professional animal care and customer service, I understand how important communication and trust are when someone else is caring for your pet. What you can expect when your pet is with me: • Reliable, on-time care • Regular photo and text updates • Safe handling for dogs with different temperaments • Experience with multi-dog households • Lots of attention, enrichment, and play Whether your dog needs a walk while you’re at work, drop-in visits while you’re away, or extra love and attention, I treat every pet like they’re my own. I’d love to meet you and your furry family member! I work a hybrid office jobs with very flexible hours. When I do go into the office, my office is dog friendly so I can bring a furry friend along if they enjoy the socialization! I care for pets in their own home so they can stay comfortable in a familiar environment and maintain their normal routine. For drop-in visits and house sitting, I follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications if needed, playtime, and any specific routines your pet is used to. During visits, I make sure pets get the attention, exercise, and enrichment they need, whether that’s a long walk, playtime, or just companionship. I also make sure basics like fresh water, clean feeding areas, and litter boxes are taken care of. For dog walks, I focus on safe handling, appropriate exercise for your dog’s energy level, and making sure they return home happy and settled. I always send updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, cared for, and loved while keeping you informed and at ease.
“Deiandre was great. He was very communicative and gave detailed reports after every walk. It was such a relief knowing my sweet girl was in good hands while I was on a work trip.”

“Nevaeh walks my dogs once a day and it is such a retro know that she is there for them while I am at work. She is an absolute sweetheart and even my more stand offish dogs loves her. Could not recommend met more!”

About: Hey there! My name is Veronica M., I’m a Licensed Massage Therapist in Richmond. I have a Certification in Dog Handling as well as Canine and Feline Massage Therapy & Reiki. Having a dog with separation anxiety has given me firsthand understanding of dog behavior and special needs pups. I’ve had an affinity for animals since my childhood, growing up with and taking care of our 2 black labs and a rescue jack russell. I continued my interest in animals through volunteer work with the SPCA & working as a kennel technician at a local doggy day care and boarding facility. There I fed, watered, and played with all different breeds of dogs as well as administered medicine as needed. Throughout, I continued dog and house sitting for family, friends, and referred clients. Later, after receiving a License in Massage Therapy, I decided to continue on the path of animal care and earned a certificate in Animal Massage, primarily canine and feline. Here I also earned a certificate in dog handling. I learned about dog behaviors and pathologies in depth. Now, I care for my 2 black lab mixes and my black cat, my babies!! <3. I look forward to meeting you and your animals!
“Lovely young lady, friendly and professional. Walked my 2 girls for a few days while i was recovering from surgery - they were happy and excited to see Shannon and enjoyed their walks!”

About: I’ve been dog-sitting for about 5 years now. I’ve mainly taken care of small to medium sized dogs but I’m open to looking after larger dogs as well. I am very reliable and have a lot of energy to keep your dog entertained throughout the day. I love going for walks and and going to dog parks if allowed by the owner. I live in an apartment and it’s dog-friend and the apartment has a dog area where they can relieve themselves. I live in a studio apartment but there’s plenty of open space where your pup can lounge around. I’m very attentive of your dogs needs, so I stay on top of taking them out for walks and making sure their water bowl is kept full and following their feeding schedule. Also open to grooming and showering your dog, especially if they are staying overnight with me. If your pup is energetic and loves to play we will be a great match!!

“Marlowe is awesome! She loves (and can handle!) my very excitable pit and is great with her. Lisa is always tired after a visit with Marlowe. It gives me so much peace of mind to know that Lisa can get some quality play and snuggle time during the day with Marlowe. I would recommend her to anyone.”

About: Ive taken care of many breeds of dogs from various sizes and ages since I can remember. I currently own a puppy and am loving every part of it. I currently work part-time from 5am-9am so I have plenty of time during the rest of the day to take care of your pets whenever! I love taking my dogs on trails and around the neighborhood to make sure they get plenty of exercise and enrichment. This is important to ensure they stay happy!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Westover
Kyra has walked my American Foxhound several times while I was traveling, and the process is always pleasant and seamless. She has an upbeat communication style and sends a great Rover card for every walk. My hound seems to be enjoying her time with Kyra -- I'm very happy with this arrangement.

We had a wonderful experience with Katie who walked and checked in our dog for ~2 weeks - dependable from start to finish. We especially appreciated the regular updates—keeping us informed and reassured throughout the time we were away. Katie truly went above and beyond to care for our pet, taking the time to make sure everything was handled with attention. Our pet was happy and we felt completely comfortable trusting her. Highly recommended!

Sidney has done a fantastic job taking care of our lovely Mocha. She has been incredibly attentive and truly went the extra mile. Our lockbox got jammed, so she went above and beyond by speaking with the leasing office to gain access to our apartment so Mocha wouldn’t be left stranded. On top of that, she even asked the maintenance team to fix the lockbox. She was absolutely amazing, and we couldn’t be more grateful for her help!

Seriously 10/10 recommend. Zack was so patient and understanding with my dog Sanova, even when she had issues with barking and getting used to him. He stayed kind, consistent, genuine, and happy to help no matter what. He was very communicative throughout and such a pleasure to have around. Sanova always got lots of exercise and great care when she was with him- his services were a huge relief to me and my boyfriend’s bust schedules. If you’re looking for a sign to book him for his services- this is it.
