“I can’t say enough great things about Nadia! She took such amazing care of my dog, Mojo, during his first stay that it completely put my mind at ease. From the moment we met her, it was clear how much she genuinely cares about the dogs she looks after. Mojo had such a great experience that what started as a one time stay has now turned into a regular weekly visit. He gets so excited every time we arrive he truly loves Nadia, and that says everything. It’s such a relief knowing he’s not just being watched, but is actually happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Nadia is reliable, kind, and clearly passionate about what she does. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving dog sitter!”

“William was great with Church and very attentive throughout the day. He made sure Church was comfortable, safe, and well cared for, and I appreciated the communication and updates. It gave me peace of mind knowing Church was in good hands. I would definitely book again and recommend him to others looking for reliable doggy day care.”

“Eddie had a blast with Cindy!! She sent us so many pictures and updates that made us able to enjoy our time away from him and know he was being well loved. She was very accommodating with pick up and drop off as well. We can’t wait to use her again!”

“Michelle took good care of my pup. Her dog Milo is a sweetie. She has a nice yard for them to play in and my dog also enjoyed relaxing by her side on the couch.”

“I feel so lucky that we found Virginia! She took our high energy dog in very last minute and provided her with phenomenal care. Virginia was responsive and sent a ton of pictures throughout her stay, which my partner and I really appreciated. I definitely hope to book with her again in the future!”

About: I only host one family’s pets at a time. I have a dedicated cat bedroom: your cat will enjoy two cat trees and a view of beautiful trees, birds, and sunshine. My yard is fenced in well enough for small to medium dogs. DETAILS: I am a Richmond Public Schools teacher and a musician. A lifelong dog owner, I am the proud mama to rescue pups Bentley and Bo (who is my angel dog in heaven). I also have two charming, funny, and delightful cats — Gwen and Cricket. Because I’m on summer vacation, I have loads of availability to care for your pets, with a focus on daycare and boarding in my home. I live in a two-story, four-bedroom home with a fenced-in backyard near Westover Hills, Redd Elementary School, Lucille Brown, and Chippenham Hospital. We are close to a couple of dog parks, including Barker Field, and within a few miles of the VMFA, with plenty of green spaces to walk and relax in the fresh air. If you like, I’m happy to take your dog to Barker Field, where I will monitor your pup closely for safety. I have a large fenced backyard for safe, frequent potty breaks. Your pup will truly be cared for like my very own. Because I am a teacher, my summers are wide open for long walks, backyard playtime, cuddles on the couch, and plenty of one-on-one attention for your pets throughout the day. During the summer, I spend most of my days at home catching up on spring cleaning, gardening, yardwork, reading, and chatting on the phone. Your pet will have human companionship for most of the day, except for occasional grocery shopping and errands. I love ALL dogs and will treat your sweet one like my own. Dogs are precious to me. Boarding dogs will have non-stop loving, cuddling, and affection. If your dog prefers to sleep alone, I’ve got FOUR bedrooms with lots of comfy hiding places and multiple dog beds scattered throughout my home. My 1/4 acre yard is fenced in well enough for small and medium dogs. Your dog will enjoy hanging out with me while I garden or read on a blanket in the backyard, sniffing all the new smells.
“Matt is fantastic. My dog Ru loves going to his house so much that she sprints to his front door and will not look back for me at all. She has a great time with him and when I pick her up she is happy and tired in the best way. He clearly has a great understanding of dogs and is very professional and communicative. I feel completely confident leaving my girl there and I know she has the absolute best care.”

“Deanna was friendly and caring, sent pics and video of our little guy. He seemed to have a good day hanging with her and her dogs. Her dogs are sweet and playful. Will definitely be back!”

“Auggie had the best day with Celia and her pups! She took great care of him, and was very communicative! I know Auggie will love having another doggy daycare day there (he sees it as a play date!) in the future!”

About: I absolutely love dogs! I grew up on a small farm with four dogs of my own and have been taking care of them for as long as I remember. I have watched many different dogs of all shapes and sizes. I have administered medicine to diabetic dogs as well as numerous medications. I love hiking and the outdoors, and love bringing a pup along with me. Animals have always seemed to love me and I plan on getting a degree to eventually become a vet. Nurturing and caring for animals is not just a side job for me its my passion! Not only will I ensure your best friend gets the exercise they need but the love, attention, and affection they deserve as well.
About: Caring for animals has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have owned cats and dogs, walked dogs during college, volunteered at a shelter, and have experience across different life stages and breeds. I can read body language to know when a pet wants company and when they need space. When caring for pets I prioritize following the pet's specific routine and needs. This includes adhering to feeding schedules, ensuring fresh water is always available, and adjusting meals for any dietary restrictions. I provide regular exercise and playtime while keeping the environment safe and pet-proofed. I monitor for signs of illness, can administer medications if necessary, and maintain cleanliness, like cleaning litter boxes and brushing fur. I offer comfort and affection for each pet, creating a calm space for relaxation, especially for pets with separation anxiety, to ensure their well-being. I work from home so your pet will have companionship throughout the day. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home, which allows me to be present and attentive throughout the day. I can easily integrate feeding, walks, playtime, and cuddle sessions into my schedule. Whether it's letting pets out for bathroom breaks, refreshing water bowls, or simply being there to offer comfort and companionship, I can provide pets with consistent care and attention all day long. My flexible routine also means I can adapt to each pet's specific needs and make sure they feel safe, loved, and part of the household. When caring for pets, I prioritize safety, trust, and creating a comforting environment. I ensure all spaces are pet-proofed, keep routines consistent, and supervise pets closely to prevent accidents or stress. In my home, pets enjoy a clean, calm space. While in a client's home, I respect their space, follow all care instructions closely, and keep their home secure. I build trust through consistent communication, photo updates, and gentle, attentive care.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Westover
We were in town just for the week and needed a sitter during the days for our hound Daisy. Right away Daisy was at home in Nadia and Quincy's dog-centered property. She was well cared for with individualized attention. I never worried about her and she was excited to return each day. The location was in close proximity to VCU, which was perfect for us. Would absolutely bring Daisy back!

Virginia has been so flexible and wonderful in helping care for our anxious pup Murphy! She is super communicative and provides lots of updates. Murphy absolutely loves spending time with her and it is such a relief to find someone you trust in a new city to care for your pet.

Can’t recommend Ariel enough! I was in Richmond from out of town for a graduation ceremony and my dog Cricket needed care for the afternoon and evening. Ariel was very communicative and flexible with both pick up and drop off times, and sent me so many cute photos throughout the day. I felt perfectly safe leaving Cricket in her care.

I’m so grateful that I found them to take care of my old senior dog. He requires medications, a lot of love and attention and he gets exactly what he needs. I get a very happy pup after a long day at work. I’m looking forward to using Natalie for future bookings as I now trust her to take care of my fur baby.
