About: My family has had dogs since I was born and we fostered dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I have helped out several family friends by pet sitting and walking their dogs. I’ve had some experience pet sitting cats as well. I believe all animals are special and deserve to be treated with love. At the moment I’m working part time with scattered hours so I’m able to fit in time caring for and playing with your pets I can adapt to any routines and rules that are needed to care for your pet the way you do. I am also physically active and give your pet the kind of exercise they need.

About: I've had my dog 15+ years and fostered dogs for many years before that. My dog Snork and I take 3 walks a day and comes with me to work each day. I love my little guy! Since Snork is a senior dog and he can't walk as far as he used to, I'm looking for more opportunities to walk and enjoy dogs! I currently work a 9-5 job so I'm able to care for your pet after 5:30pm on weekdays or anytime on weekends. I would consider some mornings on a short term basis. I would prefer to care for your pet from your home; however, in some cases, I can care for a pet in my home. I have a fenced in backyard and live near a wooded walking path.

About: I moved to Richmond about a year ago, which meant leaving my two pups back home with their dad. As rural, born-and-bred dogs, city life just wasn’t the right fit for them. So now, I’m filling that gap by spending time with other people’s furry friends! I will provide attentive, personalized care based on each pets routine and personality, whether I’m in my client’s home or caring for them on a walk. I make sure every pet gets plenty of exercise, affection, and supervision, while sticking closely to any instructions the owner provides regarding feeding, leash use, or behavior preferences.

About: I grew up with dogs and still watch my parents’ dog when they go out of town. I love meeting new animals, playing with them, and caring for them. I am currently doing Lyft full time so I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule and can adjust my driving hours to whatever works best. I love playing with animals, petting them, and giving them cuddles. I have a pet of my own so I understand how hard it is to leave them and am happy to provide photos during my visits.

About: I have helped care for the family pets since I was age ten. I do not currently have a dog of my own but I have dog sat for family friends by walking, feeding, and playing with the dogs. I currently work full time, working 12 hour shifts from 7a-7p a few days a week and every other weekend. I always know my schedule ahead of time, so as long as there is open communication I’m sure we can make it work. I would also be able to assist in evenings with walks or drop in visits as needed as long as I have a heads up so I make sure I leave work at a decent time since I typically am able to leave between 7-7:15p. Feel free to reach out if you have questions. When training the family pets when I was younger we had them in crates at night, but now they sleep in the bed. I have dog sat for family friends that had a fenced in yard and others that the dogs needed to be walked a few times a day.

About: From wolfhounds to chihuahuas, I have petsat them all! I have experience with giving medicine, assisting senior dogs with mobility, exercising, playing, feeding, and giving all the affection needed. Petsitting would be split with my workday on Monday -Wednesday. I can come in the morning, during my lunch break, and spend as much time as needed after work with your pet. Friday through Sunday I can do as many visits and walks as necessary. It is safer and better to build trust with any animal if there is a meet & greet before petsitting. This helps me know the routines of your household and shows the pets that I'm not a stranger when I come to care for them. Sticking to the routines/key words they know, engaging them with praise, play, or treats, and letting the dog/cat have space when needed - are all ways to help your pet be at ease.

PJ is not a city dog, so I was a little hesitant on how best to handle downtown Richmond. Sydney knows the area well as a VCU student, and she was able to find green space and waterfront walks for PJ. She also did well to secure arrangements with me on short notice. About: Friends and family have relied on me numerous times to be their pet sitter. My roommate has a 3 year old golden retriever and an elderly cat who I love so dearly. I care for them when she cannot. My sister also has a golden retriever and I watch him when she goes out of town. I grew up with dogs and know how to cater to their needs. My grandparents even told me that I am the godmother to their 2 cats because they see how great I am with them. I work full time 8:00-5:00 and will happily watch your pets in the evening or weekends when you are away. I love taking pets on walks in the museum district! Your pet will feel safe in their own environment and I’ll match their energy so that they are comfortable and relaxed. I want them to barely even notice you’re gone.

About: I have broad experience in general pet care, including several years caring for my own pets. I’ve worked professionally with both cats and dogs in a pet salon, owned and cared for small pets, and have experience walking dogs through Rover, providing reliable exercise and attentive care. I’m also a pescatarian, which reflects my mindful and compassionate approach to animal care and wellbeing. 🐾❤️ I’m not naturally a morning person, but I’m willing to work early when needed. About: I grew up with our family's miniature dachshund since I was 12 years old. During that time, I learned to take care of her and what it takes to be a good dog owner. Don't tell my family, but I'm definitely my dog's favorite! Growing up, I was always the go-to dog, cat, and one time a mini pig, sitter for friends and family. Taking care of animals has always been a passion for me! Since I moved out of my parents' home, I'm no longer directly in charge of taking care of my family dog, but I have now adopted a cat. I have always felt a special connection to dogs, and I am happy to say I feel that way about cats now too. I work full-time; however, I live close to my job and have flexibility when it comes to coming home to take care of any pets. I also have my afternoons free! I believe pets have different ways they like being loved; some are more social, while others need their space. I do a good job of understanding what a pet likes, and I will always provide the best care possible.
