About: Hi! I’m Julia and dogs have always been an important part of my life. I grew up with an Old English Sheepdog that I miss dearly, and caring for her showed me how amazing it is to have a strong bond with a pet. Over the years, I’ve been trusted by friends, family, and neighbors to care for their dogs. I’m reliable, attentive, and committed to making sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. I have a flexible schedule and would love the opportunity to help care for your pup! I’m currently applying to graduate school and have a very open schedule. I’m available most weekdays and am often available on weekends, allowing me to provide flexible care for your pets. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every animal with the same care and attention I would give my own. I strive to create a calm, positive environment where pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether we're going for a walk, playing, or simply keeping a routine, I focus on making sure your pet is happy and well cared for while you're away. I'll also keep you updated so you always know how your pet is doing.

“Natalie was a lifesaver to help watch our two large, active dogs on the Fourth of July while we were at a wedding. Our older pup, Bongo, is terrified of fireworks and we recently rescued our new puppy, Gin, so we weren’t sure how she would react. Natalie was so calm and kind and I think the dogs really felt her good energy and everything worked out perfectly. 10/10 recommend Natalie for anyone that is looking for someone to love on and care for their dogs as if they were their own.”

“Taylor is amazing!!! She watched our two dogs for a few days and everything went so smoothly. She is caring, attentive, and very communicative. She updated us everyday with photos and let us know her schedule and if there any concerns we had which I really I appreciated. I am planning to book her for future sittings since my girls love her🙌🏻💕🐾”

“Austin was wonderful. He really knows his way around crazy puppies as well as senior dogs. Our dogs were very happy having him sit with them while we were gone for the day. We highly recommend Austin.”

“Jeremy is a true professional! Came early and made sure my furbaby had everything he needed and followed his schedule to a T. I highly recommend Jeremy and his services and look forward to booking him again. Thank you Jeremy!”

“Avery is an amazing pet sitter! This is our first time using her and we will absolutely reach out in the future. Our cats loved her! She is friendly, professional and great with animals. It was such a relief to have such an incredible pet sitter looking after our babies while we were away. Plus she got some incredible pics of our little snugglebug to tied us over till we could get home and love them us ourselves.”

About: I think about my service as to satisfy my clients peace of mind, but also to give the animal I’m caring for nothing short of a fun experience! I want every animal I meet to associate me with fun and excitement I’ve always managed pet care into my daily life, whether it was for others or my own pets! Pet care is a responsibility that I’ve grown up with and have had my entire life, and I wouldn’t let a single thing stop me from making sure animals are cared for the way the need to be. Each animal has its own specific need. That is something that I will talk with the client about, but it’s also something I’ve very observant at. Some would like to just play, others may like to sit with you and enjoy your company. And maybe it’s a mixture of both, or something completely different. I see it as making sure each animal gets what they want so they can live an amazing life that they deserve.
“Morgane took really good care of my cat and my apartment. My kitty (who's not always the most friendly) took to her instantly, cuddling & even sharing a bed with her :) You can tell Morgane is a caring, attentive, and experienced petsitter. 10/10 recommend Morgane!”

“Neyda was great. We couldn’t be happier with the level of care she provided to our puppies and our home. My trip was so stress free with her updates, pictures, and videos. She is super respectful and caring. I hope my puppies will be able to hang with Neyda in the future!”

“Zoe has house/dog sat for us a few times now. We are quite anxious pet parents and miss our fur baby dearly when we leave. Zoe is well aware and updates us frequently with videos and photos. Our pup Lola loves spending time with her and has felt comfortable with her ever since our first meeting. I can’t tell you how comforting it is to know that Zoe is caring for our fur baby when we are gone. We recently had to ask Zoe to watch our pup for an emergency and knowing she was here with her helped immensely. Will be working with Zoe for as long as we possibly can.”

“Hayley dog sat our two little dogs last Saturday and she was lovely. If she has availability to sit your dog, definitely contact and book her! First of all, our one dog is a 15 year old diabetic with a host of other problems. He has to eat at a certain time, take oral medications, and get his insulin shot at a certain time. With a meet and greet, Hayley actually came over and learned how to give him his shot. To be honest, it's really hard to find someone to give an insulin shot who'll also sit, but Hayley got the gist right away! She's really nice and very responsive. I felt very comfortable leaving our dogs in Hayley's care. I got photos all night, updates on their feeding/meds, and when I came home late at night, everything was very tidy and cleaned up. So, the point being, if you can get Hayley to sit for you, do it. It was such a relief having her here with our little guys. We will definitely be asking her to sit for us in the future :) She's great!”

“Dee Dee made me feel confident that she understood what needed to be done during her stay here. I have never left someone I don’t know in charge of my house so I was very nervous. I came home to happy animals and a clean house. She even stripped her bed and washed the sheets!”

“Marty was amazing! She took care of our pets and home like they were her own! She was great with communication always keeping in touch and sending updates! Would highly recommend Marty if you don’t want to have any second guessed while you are gone as she holds it down! We have 3 dogs - 9 month old puppy, an 8 year old frenchie and a 15 year old Pomeranian! Each dog has specific needs from play time to medication and she takes care of it all with absolutely no problem! Thank you again Marty!”

“Cecelia is a Professional, truly someone who really loves and appreciate pets! She took care of our dog Poppy who doesn’t always do well with humans and they bonded from the get go! We needed an emergency sitter for an event, and within 2 hours she made herself available and handled the situation like a true professional. I look forward to booking Cecelia for my pets anytime!”
“Hannah was very communicative, arrived promptly, and most of all, our two year old lab adored her! She made friends with him quickly (and he usually is a little hesitant with new people). Otis felt comfortable with her and it was obvious that she knows how to care for, and speak to, dogs. We will definitely use Hannah again! Otis has a new best friend and her name is Hannah!”

About: I am a full time house/pet sitter! I love the life of taking care of people's homes and beloved animals. I raised my family with tons of pets - dogs, cats, frogs, fish, lizards, snakes, hamsters, etc. I now care for others' in the same way as if they were my own - with complete care and love. I have been on a different app with over thirty 5 star reviews. I am new to this one! You won't be disappointed by giving me the opportunity. :) I work remotely for an organization that specializes in walking alongside foster care youth that are aging out of the system. I can be anywhere to do my job! So I have lots of time to be present for your animals. I am very flexible - accommodating what I do to be in line with the pets' routines and needs. Giving medicine, caring for aging animals with gentleness, lots of play time and cuddle time. I also leave a home as clean (or often more clean!) as when I arrived. Being respectful of others' privacy comes naturally to me and it is something I take seriously.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I got my first puppy at six years old, and since then I haven’t been able to imagine a life without animals. I’ve cared for trained and untrained dogs, playful puppies, senior pups who need more assistance and everything in between. I have also been around kitties with all different personalities and needs. While my professional pet care experience has reached almost two years, I’ve spent my entire life surrounded by animals and I have yet to meet a pet I couldn’t love. I strive to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re with me. I am currently a student who is also completing a CNA course for the duration of the summer. My schedule is open for your pets besides my allotted class time which is on Tuesday's, Thursdays and Saturdays at 4.5-6 hours at a time. Since I will be gone for quite some time during the day, I would love to tire them out however they need it. Any other day of the week I would be happy to spend the whole day with your furry friends! In my home or yours, I will create a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for your loved ones. I am experienced in adapting to each pet’s unique needs, personality, and routine. I also believe that communication is key, so I will keep you updated with regular messages, photos, and check ins to ensure you always know how your furry family member is doing. My goal is to give you peace of mind while providing your pet with the care, attention, and affection they deserve.

About: I’ve had the pleasure a working in a veterinary hospital for 3 years and have lots of experience when it comes to animal care and health. I have one dog, two outdoor cats, and a horse! I am highly skilled in feeding plans, walking, basic training, administering medication, senior dog care, fluid administration, arthritic support, etc. I have also fostered countless dogs and cats with health issues or just needing love! I love working with animals and I’m currently in college on a Pre-Vet pathway! On the weekends I am fully free for boarding at my house, along with extended overnight and daytime stays due to my free time! As of right now I have a part time internship over the summer. This just means that during my work week the animals receiving care will have a period of time during the day where I cannot see them. This being said Monday-Friday I am available early in the mornings and after 3pm through the duration of the night. When caring for your pet their safety and happiness come first! I want to make sure you have full trust that your pet is being taken care of the way you want them to be! If your animal is staying at my house I have a fully fenced in yard with plenty of space to run. I have one Australian shepherd who is very friendly and loves company. I also have two outdoor cats who get along with other animals, but can also be put in a safe place inside if the owner prefers that. I have a hard time leaving my pets because I want to make sure they are being cared for above and beyond the bar minimum. With my experience I take my work very seriously and will treat them as one of my own!
“Bella was an absolutely amazing house sitter for our dog and cat while we were away for 10 days. She was very communicative, responsive, caring and loving. She spoiled our fur babies tons, ensured they were taken care of and also followed directions for daily medications for our dog and calmed her during her partial seizures. When our dog and cat met Bella they instantly bonded with her during the initial visit and it was evident that bond grew stronger with the pictures and messages she sent daily, which also put us at ease while we were away. We came home to a clean house and happy fur babies. I would recommend Bella to others with stellar reviews.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Westlake Village
I was faced with a very difficult situation just a couple of days before Zack began his stay with the dogs. I had a flood in the kitchen and the HOA insisted on Disaster Mitigation, which was horribly unsettling, disruptive and noisy. My entire kitchen was and still is, 4 weeks later, turned upside down and inside out, and for most of the tie he had no cooking facilities or laundry. Zack dealt with this very calmly, took it completely in his stride. Because he was so calm the dogs were calm too, despite all the upset on top of my absence. I did everything I could to make the situation easier for him but I left for a 24 day trip to Europe and had only very limited wifi for most of the time.
Julia took great care of my 2 huskies and cat for 3 days and nights. They got plenty of attention while my family was away allowing us peace of mind to enjoy our vacation. She gave our dog medicine daily and helped monitor her uti symptoms for us while still upholding their daily routines. I would book her again and recommend her for anyone who needs specialized care for their pets.

Cecelia is a Professional, truly someone who really loves and appreciate pets! She took care of our dog Poppy who doesn’t always do well with humans and they bonded from the get go! We needed an emergency sitter for an event, and within 2 hours she made herself available and handled the situation like a true professional. I look forward to booking Cecelia for my pets anytime!

Sam & Solene are absolute *dream* pet/home sitters. They are so kind, communicative, and professional. We didn't worry once while we were away and we came home to very happy and calm pets. They also left our house SO clean. They really go above and beyond, and we are so grateful to have found them for future pet/house sits! Thank you, Sam & Solene! 🌺

Wonderful experience. Cheri is very experienced and loves dogs. She was amazing with our high energy dog that needs a lot of exercise and playtime. We gots regular updates and saw how happy our dog was while we were away. She gave us the royal treatment. Very friendly and attentive. She was also a wonderful houseguest. We will definitely have her again!

This was my first time having a sitter come to my house to watch my puppies and I could not have made a better choice than Taylor. Her attention to detail, professionalism, follow up, and her love for her job and animals are top notch. This is a testament to her superior work ethic. I was able to enjoy my trip knowing fully well my 2 dogs are well taken care of. When I came back home, my dogs looked very happy and the house was in pristine condition. If you’re looking for a a reliable, trustworthy, professional animal lover, Taylor has my highest recommendations.

It is so clear our Ellie was cared for with genuine love and attention the entire time we were away. Dee Dee kept us well‑informed with updates that gave us total peace of mind, We can tell Ellie felt safe, happy, and completely at home. We’re incredibly thankful—and we’ve already booked her for our next trip because she’s truly amazing.

Jezrah-Valerie was a great sitter for my little bad boy, Bu. Bu is a Portuguese water dog, which means that – – even according to the books – – he can be expected to be willful and quarrelsome. He has a bark that you can hear in China. And he knows what he wants and when he wants it he is very opinionated, but he also is the cutest little dog you’ve ever seen all 72 pounds of him and also one of the strongest dogs you will ever find. And also, he is very mouthy, which means that he will run his teeth along your hand, never ever wanting to bite you, but just to let you know that he has teeth just in case you didn’t know. He will not use his teeth on you unless you physically attack him, which is unlikely in a Dogsitter. The only time he ever has used them that I’ve seen was a giant Cane Corso, with close-clipped ears and quite an attitude attack attacked him. And so Bu defended himself admirably, flying through the air to avoid being bitten himself. At any rate,, Jezrah is always thinking. She is proactive and very bright. She loves dogs. She has a charming smile which never disappears. She is sweet. She loves dogs. She is generous. She is cheerful. My little bad mischief-maker was all smiles, even though I had been gone for 9 hours. I boo is not a dog who wants to be on his schedule. When he has to pee, he will tell you. He eats at regular times, but sometimes he is not hungry then so he does not eat. He gets hungry later and wants to eat so he tells you when he is hungry. You either have to have a Dog’s mind, or being in sync with his personality, or pay close attention to him to know when he is hungry and when he has to go out. I have had him since he was little.l, and mamas know these things. But other people might not. Just figured it out pretty quickly. And boo was a happy camper when I came home. I loved her personality and her attitude and the way she took care of BU. I told her she should raise her prices, but she hasn’t done it yet. I would say, if you can get her, and she has the time availability, you should definitely grab her when she is available. She comes up with her own ideas on how to do things sometimes and they work just great. I will definitely be using her again… just don’t take her on the night or days that I need her., please. Ha, ha.

We had a great experience with Staci! I have a 16 year old dog and Staci took the time to make sure she was comfortable, loved, and well cared for. Staci sent daily picutures and communicated throughout the day about how my pet was doing. She was even open to extending her stay, last minute, when my travel plans changed. I would love to have Staci watch my dog again!

Michael was absolutely amazing!! From the very first message he was super responsive and on point. When we met him, he was so sweet with our pup—we just knew right away he was the perfect fit. He showed up on time, followed her routine perfectly, and kept us updated with pictures every day. He was also super communicative if she needed anything, which gave us total peace of mind. Honestly, 10/10 recommend Michael—we’ll definitely be booking him again soon! Thank you so much!!

FAQs for House Sitting - Westlake Village
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Westlake Village on Rover is $164.29 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 10,975 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Westlake Village. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Westlake Village walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Westlake Village maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Westlake Village choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
