About: The last two dogs I had were the best pets I've ever had, one in particular I took everywhere, hiking, running, swimming and even to play basketball. I even took her halfway up Mt. Diablo one time. I feel like every dog owner should expose their dogs to many outside environments, something other than there backyard or house. The only regrets I have about my past ownership is not taking my dogs out everyday. As an owner I believe that dogs should be treated more than just a convenient stress reliever. I've worked at the Glendale, CA Humane Society Shelter walking dogs and really enjoyed the experience. I've owned dogs for a good part of my life. However, I recently had to put Taffy, my last dog, to sleep. She was 16 and not doing well. It was heart wrenching and I thought perhaps that rather getting another, I could give the love I have for dogs to others, without having the ultimate burden of ownership. I live in Agoura Hills, CA. My schedule is very flexible so I am avaible to host pets in my own home or visit yours to take your pet(s) for walks, potty breaks, adventures, housesitting, etc. My home has a small fenced-in side yard with a doggy door that allows for pets to alleviate themselves as needed and I also have a fenced in patio so they can be outside and sunbathe, watch birds, socialize and/or relax. Otherwise, all pets are kept indoors unless they want to be outside. I live in a lovely, pet-friendly neighborhood in an oak tree forest with lots of places for gentle walks or hikes. As far as client's homes, I am happy to follow any routine the client has for their pet but also enjoy taking pets with me to go on walks and hikes, run errands, pick my kids up for school, etc. Whatever the client is comfortable with, so am I. My children love pets and are endlessly excited to share in their love and spend time with them too.
