About: I've loved and cared for dogs and other animals since I was a child. Dogs, Cats, and even a Monkey have been my best friends at times. I am now retired and have plenty of time to spend caring for animals. I'm very flexible and able to adjust my schedule for your needs. I am very trust worthy and dependable. I am committed to taking the best care of your animals and with your property at all times.
About: Hey, I’m Anthony! I’ve been around animals since I was born. Grew up on a mini farm and took care of countless of dogs, as well as cats. I actually have a Siamese cat! I’ve always felt so connected with animals my entire life and most (if not all) pets of friends/family love me :) I’ve also watched a lot of pets in my life from time to time, whether it’s for a friend, neighbor, or family member. I work part-time at the moment and I have a lot of time on my hands, aside from work and occasional hobbies. My work schedule is given out a month in advance, so I always know when I’m available in the future and when I’m not. I’m very good with respecting the boundaries of animals and providing the care that they need. Your animal needs a lot of playtime? I got that covered. Your animal needs company but is more on the shy side? Got it, we can just hang out! Let me know what is needed for your pet, how their usual day looks, and I’ll be more than happy to put my all into caring for them
“Shanneal is a fantastic sitter - she took care of our two puppers, one of whom can be challenging and needs some specific care, for a couple nights at our house. She sent lots of pictures and did a great job making sure the doggies were happy. Highly recommend!”

About: I am a veterinary technician who has worked in the veterinary field for 5+ years. I love all animals and have experience handling/caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, pocket pets, and a variety of reptiles. I am a UC Davis Alumna and have a bachelor's degree in Animal Science. I am currently a CVM student at MWU. With my extensive knowledge of animal behavior and handling, I am well-prepared to care for pets of all species. I am comfortable with medication administration, including giving pills, liquid medicine, and insulin shots. Put your mind at ease with a pet sitter who truly cares for your furry, feathery, and scaley friends. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out! :) I have a very flexible schedule. I am also available to stay overnight at your house to keep your pets company, let the gardeners in, take the trash out, make sure your plants are watered, mail is taken in, etc. Dog walking: Your pets' safety is always my top priority. I only walk pets from one household at a time to ensure they have my undivided attention. I will keep an eye for any signs of heat distress during the summer and ensure the pavement is an appropriate temperature for walks. If deemed unsafe, I will contact you immediately to discuss postponing the walk at a later time. House sitting: I am very reliable and take pride in ensuring your pet is in the safest hands while in my care. I am also very accommodating with any special requests for your fur babies. Does your dog like to get pup cups from Starbucks? Do they have a favorite treat? Does your pet like to get brushed? Let me know so I can provide your beloved fur babies with the best care possible!

“Susan is great, she’s reliable and available to watch your dog consistently. My dog adores her, she takes him to the beach, feeds him after walks and is really great with sending photos and videos :)”

“Jen helped us with our pups at our house overnight and with a last minute drop in visit while we were out of town. She is reliable, responsible, and quick to respond! Thank you so much!”

About: Hi! I’m Alice. I’ve been dogsitting for friends and family since 2015. I LOVE dogs of all sizes. I have a Dutch Shepherd fur nephew, a MinPin fur niece and a Pitsky fur niece that I fully trained and helped raise. There is no dog that’s too young or too old for love. Ask me anything else you’d like to know! I have a flexible schedule, so my availability is open during the day, Monday through Friday. I’m good with walks and pet/house sitting. When caring for dogs in your home, I’d go by whatever your normal routine for your dog is. Feeding times, walk times, bathroom breaks, etc. would not change. I also send pictures during our time together so you can see what we’re up to (and because I know you probably miss them).
“Olivia connected with my dog, Sadie, right away. She was very friendly and nurturing. Sadie had just been spayed, and Olivia did a great job taking care of her. She gave her all of her medications and was very good about making sure all of Sadie’s needs were met. I felt very comfortable leaving Sadie with Olivia. We will definitely have Olivia take care of Sadie again!”

“Rachael was a great dog sitter! She was attentive to our pups, sent us pictures throughout her stay. 10 out of 10 we highly recommend her! Thank you Rachael 🙏”

About: I’m twenty years old and have been taking care of my cat ever since I was ten. When my sister who is ten years older than me moved out she got two dogs and a cat, who I would care for regularly while she went out. The past two years I have been nannying for a family with two kids and four dogs, I would sometimes care for the dogs, walk them and feed them multiple times a day if the family needed to leave somewhere. I recently moved away from the area that was close to them so I am now looking for a new source of income as it is pretty difficult to find families to nanny for. If you would like to talk to her I can provide her phone number. I love animals so much and if you let me take care of them I will always make sure they don’t just eat and go on walks, but also are played with and entertained. :) I currently don’t have a job since we just moved so I am free every day except Sunday where I run all my errands and meal prep. I will update my info if I find a part time job. I have a cat at home and live with my mother, she would never allow another animal in the home sadly, but in your home I can stay with your animals and feed them, walk them, scoop litter, and of course keep them running around and playing.
“I knew my doggies were in good hands with Esther. I was able to relax and enjoy my trip. She did a great job house sitting and followed all my instructions. My dogs seemed well cared for and happy when I got home. I especially appreciate the pictures Esther sent every day.”

“Jeremy is a true professional! Came early and made sure my furbaby had everything he needed and followed his schedule to a T. I highly recommend Jeremy and his services and look forward to booking him again. Thank you Jeremy!”

“Ariana was amazing with our two pups! She is very kind & sweet. Amazing energy & the pups felt right at home with her. We felt very comfortable leaving her with the dogs and taking care of our home while we were away. We will definitely be using her as our pet sitter for all of our needs in the future! ?”

“Larry was an excellent dog sitter for our pup. Our dog is a COVID dog and used to being with someone 24/7. Larry stayed at our house and walked, played and kept our pup company. He was able to bond with Mozzi the first day. We came home to a clean house and a very happy dog. We would definitely hire Larry again. So glad we found him on rover.com.”

“Magenka was amazing!! My little Sophie loves her! She was very comforting , I moved here a week ago and she made me feel at home and made Sophie the happiest ever! She is incredible with dogs , very knowledgeable , sweet , and amazing !! She’s the best! And my favorite !!”

“IULIIA is a great dog watcher! We have hired her on 3 different occasions and are very happy with her. I highly recommend her! We will use her again for sure. Thank you!”

“Jules was WONDERFUL with my dog Nahla. I was extremely nervous to leave her alone for the first time with someone who wasn't family, but Jules gave me peace of mind, was super communicative, and always kept me updated on what they were up to and how she was doing. Nahla is also a reactive dog that gets extremely agitated around other dogs. Jules was understanding and made sure to work with me on things she can/can't do to avoid any issues. She was able to handle her and even take her out on the town to get some socializing in! 1000/10 recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and involved sitter.”

Jeremy took incredible care of our bullmastiff, Bernie, who can definitely be a handful! He kept us updated with photos and messages throughout the stay, left our home spotless, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter and will absolutely book him again. Highly recommend!

Bruna was absolutely amazing with my cat Carl and French Bulldog Daisy. I needed a sitter with less than 24 hours’ notice over the Fourth of July holiday, and she stepped in without hesitation. At the time, Daisy had just undergone surgery and required constant supervision along with medication administration. B handled everything flawlessly and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. She sent frequent updates, photos, and messages, which meant so much given Daisy’s condition. Most importantly, it was obvious that both Carl and Daisy adored her. You can tell when someone genuinely loves animals, and they were comfortable, happy, and well cared for in her hands. I would not hesitate to book Bruna again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and attentive pet sitter.

Hallie was amazing! It was our first time using a pet sitter for our boy, so we were a little stressed. But Hallie took care of Ace just like we do. She took him on so many long walks, which he absolutely loves, and he was so happy with her. We felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. We will definitely book with Hallie again. Highly recommend!

Arielle did an incredible job house sitting our 3 pets over the long weekend. She was professional, attentive, and a joy to our 2 dogs and cat. Updates every day with pictures and a report on the days and evening activities. We knew our pets were safe and happy with Arielle watching them. Would and will try to rebook with her again!

Olivia connected with my dog, Sadie, right away. She was very friendly and nurturing. Sadie had just been spayed, and Olivia did a great job taking care of her. She gave her all of her medications and was very good about making sure all of Sadie’s needs were met. I felt very comfortable leaving Sadie with Olivia. We will definitely have Olivia take care of Sadie again!

Samantha was an AMAZING dog sitter for our sweet boy Wallace. We came home to a sweet and calm boy, and we could just tell how loved and attended to he had been during our time away. We appreciated her communication and she sent a few pics of our sweet boy, to let us know how he was doing. BONUS - she did an amazing sketch/doodle of him that I DO plan on framing bc it’s so incredible. Would recommend her to anyone!

Antonia deserves 10 stars! She is lovely, kind, competent, and clearly loves animals. This was my first time having a petsitter in my home to watch my two little dogs and I must say I was a bit nervous. But Antonia washed away all of my doubts. For those of you who will be first-time petsitter users (and future users as well) Antonia is the way to go. Shes really a gift. Took excellent care of my pups and fed and walked them exactly as directed, gave them treats. She let them sleep in the bed with her. My pups fell in love with her. And she left my home immaculate! Also - she sent frequent videos of the pups so I could see how they were doing. I highly recommend Antonia to sit for your pets. They will be in great hands. I’m looking forward to working with her again in the near future. So glad I found her. Thank you, Antonia!!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Calabasas on Rover is $55.14 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 12,022 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Calabasas. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Calabasas walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Calabasas maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Calabasas choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Calabasas. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
