“Kerry was a great house sitter! Took such wonderful care of our furbaby dog and house. Super communicative with updates and pics, which we really appreciated. Kerry even left a little goodybag for our dog. Would definitely book again!”

“I couldn’t have imagined a better sitter than Jess. She went above and beyond to care for our puppy and 2 cats. I received frequent updates and photos and reassurance that everything was going well. Our puppy wasn’t feeling well while we were away and Jess took such good care of her that I didn’t even have to worry. I recommend Jess for anyone that is looking for a caring, reliable and responsible sitter who will love your pet like her own.”

“My dog can be a bit difficult to walk and Armin did a great job dealing with it. He was reliable and responsive and I would definitely recommend him as a dog watcher.”

About: I grew up in a household that always had multiple dogs at the same time and was actively involved in their care. Feeding, bathing, walking and giving them the daily love and attention they needed. I have the ability to adjust my availability as needed. My daily and weekly routine is built around providing consistent and attentive pet care for your loved one. I have been a pet owner my entire life and have been relied upon by friends, family, and neighbors for pet care for the past 25 years. While I may not have formal "clinic" experience, my practical, hands-on experience has taught me patience, reliability, and how to anticipate a pet's needs and comfort levels. I’m comfortable with various breeds and temperaments and committed to upholding the highest standard of care.
“Thalia did an amazing job caring for our two girls while we were away. She house sat for us on two separate days and followed everything we had laid out - from their walking schedule to feeding them exactly how they’re used to. It was clear she took the time to make sure their routine stayed consistent. She was also very communicative, sending us photo updates during walks and even at naptime, which we really appreciated. Being away from your dogs can be stressful, but Thalia gave us real peace of mind knowing they were not only well cared for, but genuinely loved on while we were gone. We’d absolutely trust her with them again.”

“We had such a great experience with Kayla. Our dog struggles with separation anxiety, but Kayla did such a great job to calm his nerves. She was very patient with him and went out of her way to do a meet and greet prior to the appointment. He had such a good time! Highly recommend.”

About: I'm a pet-loving mother of four with three children in college—and enjoying the wonderful pets I have met through this site. I have lived in Scotch Plains for almost 15 years. I watch several dogs regularly on a private basis and am excited to be part of the Rover community. I grew up with a beloved menagerie that included three cats, two beloved dachshunds and a poodle and have enjoyed watching a variety of dogs, including a bulldog, a French bulldog, a Bernese, a labradoodle, and, of course, mixed breeds. I love walking and daily yoga and look forward to helping your pets get the fresh air, activity and affection they need when you are working or otherwise busy. I am a freelance writer with a flexible schedule and have time for walks and visits before or after work and at lunchtime. Having raised a family, I know how important it is to have a pet sitter who is mature and reliable and understands how deeply you love your pets--and am honored to assist you in keeping them happy and healthy. While I would love to help every pet, I am petite, so my ideal sized pets are under 50 pounds. I am a freelance writer with a flexible schedule and my own car. I rise early every day, and I am often available on weekends. I am often available at lunch time to clients who need their dogs walked mid day. I am a mature, reliable and organized mother of four and will treat your beloved and adorable pet like a member of my own family.
“Kethely was so sweet to my quirky munchkins and kept me updated throughout. I haven’t felt so secure about leaving my pets in a long time! I will absolutely book her again :)”

About: I’ve had dogs—specifically boxers—since I was 9, so I’m very familiar with all stages of care, from puppies to senior dogs. Neighbors, family, and friends regularly rely on me for dog sitting, walking, and feeding, and I’m comfortable stepping into established routines and keeping pets consistent and at ease. I also have experience caring for cats which has made me adaptable and confident with different types of animals. Pet care fits easily into my routine. I’m currently in between roles, so I have a very flexible schedule and can be available throughout the day for walks, check-ins, or longer stays. In my typical work routine, I work in a hybrid role, which also allows me to maintain a consistent and reliable schedule for pet care. I’m able to plan my time around a pet’s needs and make sure they get the attention and consistency they’re used to. I keep pets on their normal routine, follow instructions closely, and prioritize safety. I maintain a clean, calm environment and keep owners updated for peace of mind.
About: I have worked intensively for 3 years in dog daycare with as many as 30 dogs in a room. Before that I’ve always been an avid dog owner and caretaker for as long as I can remember. I work mornings during the week, so I am available after 1:30 pm weekdays. I am very punctual and reliable, and deeply care for a dogs wellbeing! I prefer to care for pets in a client’s home, although I’m sure there can be some exceptions, although I don’t have a huge amount of space
“Hadija did a great job as always with Max. No matter where we go my husband is always rushing to get back home to Max but for the first time yesterday he said that since Hadija was at home with Max we didn’t need to rush back. That is a huge compliment to Hadija!”

“Vanessa is the best! I am so thankful we found her! She was so sweet and accommodating. She was very thoughtful and sent us pictures- our dog was well loved during his time with her! We will for sure use Vanessa again!”

“We feel like we won the dog sitter lottery. Hobbes was well cared for and Emily treated him like her own. She is kind, communicative, trustworthy and compassionate. I know Hobbes will be excited for his next visit!!”

“Sara was amazing! She jumped right into action given it was a last min booking. She sent lots of pictures and videos and kept me informed on my baby through out the day. Definitely will be using Sara as long as she’s available.”

if I can leave 10 stars I would! Talk about a consistent amount of changes to our schedule we had to go through due to one of our fur babies getting sick post spay and Marlee was wonderful for every step of the way! flexible and understanding. We can’t thank her enough for her compassion and care for our cats and she will definitely be our go to going forward!!

Catherine was absolutely excellent! My dog needed extra care for a foot injury including antibiotics, pain meds, and eye drops since he’s blind and she handled everything perfectly. She was attentive, careful, and kept me updated throughout. I felt at ease knowing Joey was being cared for well.

We had such a great experience with Kayla. Our dog struggles with separation anxiety, but Kayla did such a great job to calm his nerves. She was very patient with him and went out of her way to do a meet and greet prior to the appointment. He had such a good time! Highly recommend.
